The living room was dimly lit and the only illumination was coming from the soft glow of the television screen.
Brandon is sitting in the middle as he leaned into Elize's embrace.
She wrapped one arm around his shoulders as her fingers gently ran through his hair.
His head rested against her shoulder and his eyes were half-lidded as he lazily watched the screen.
On his other side, Ravene was also close with her body pressed against his as she wrapped both hands around his arm.
However, unlike Elize, who exuded maternal warmth and care, Ravene's hold on him was firmer, almost possessive.
Her eyes flickered toward Elize every now and then, looking at the way the older woman cradled Brandon against her.
It's not like Ravene dislikes Elize. In fact, she admires her.
