They were humanoid in shape, but their bodies were unnatural.
The one on the left crouched low as its fingers scraped against the dungeon floor, sending a sharp screech through the air.
The other raised its arm, and the muscles twisted unnaturally as it clenched its clawed fingers into a fist.
Brandon's muscles tensed as the Aberrant on the left lunged first, closing the distance in an instant.
Brandon reacted in time before a clawed swipe aimed straight for his throat.
He twisted his body to the side, feeling the rush of air as the claws barely missed him.
He quickly counterattacked and his dagger flashed in a clean arc, slashing toward the Aberrant's extended arm.

The Aberrant twisted its arm at an unnatural angle and blocked the strike with the hard surface of its forearm.
