Ravene gulped hard, sitting cross-legged on the floor like a child being scolded by a strict parent.
Elize stood with her arms crossed tightly beneath her chest "You damn whore. You're hiding something from me. Spill it."
Ravene hesitated, biting her lower lip.
Her fingers nervously fiddled with the hem of her sleeve.
She know this moment would come sooner or later, but she had hoped it would be later... very much later.
"Elize," she said softly, lifting her gaze. "It's… complicated."
Elize's eyes narrowed further "I have time."
Ravene took a deep breath "Okay… okay… just promise you won't yell."
"No."
That didn't help.
But Ravene pressed on, knowing she couldn't lie her way out of this anymore.
"The truth is…" she began, her voice barely above a whisper, "it's not just me who likes Kael."
Elize tilted her head, "What, are you about to tell me there's a whole line of girls after him?"
