He doesn't remember the last time he slept so well. He wished he could stay like this a bit longer, but like every day, the knock on the door woke him up.
This time, it was both Liz and Caius—who were just happy to be alive.
He got up, freshened up, and thought about everything that happened… and everything that will. He feels like the world won't let him breathe properly. Soon, he has to leave to save Thanatos. He can't seem to find peace.
Then—more knocks on the door.
"Let's go!" Liz shouted.
"Coming, sunshine," he replied.
He didn't mind, to be honest. This felt normal.
All three walked toward the class. Students stared at them, muttering under their breath.
Once they reached the room, Kael sat next to Liz, like always. Caius, meanwhile, took over his usual spot—surrounded by girls. They were asking him question after question.
