Tim knew precisely what the snake did for it too land a hit on Tim.
He replayed it in his head.
The snake intentionally sent the acidic projectile in a way that would make Tim dodge in a particular direction then it charged towards that direction it wanted Tim to move into the moment It released its acidic spit.
The snake was intelligent. Instead of Tim to feel depressed or oppressed by the situation. He was happy.
He was learning after all. The him now was totally different from the him that he was over 24 hours ago. He was now a certified warrior at least in his own eyes, and he was already thinking about the boost that he would get from the boss monster.
The snake charged at Tim once more with its head, but Tim held his thorn with both hands and deflected the charge by striking the horn to the side when it neared Tim.
Upon impact with the snake's horn. Tim's hands felt the pure force of the snake, if not for the increase in strength he had from the boost, he was sure that his hands would have been shattered from the mere impact with the snake.
After the snakes charge was deflected, the snake suddenly used the thorny area of its tail to slam Tim.
It was so spontaneous but Tim who was at his very peak in terms of awareness caught sight of the sudden ambush.
He hurriedly placed his thorn in front of him to intercept the thorny tail from impaling him. BAAM!
Although he blocked the attack, the force of the tail smash still affected him seriously.
Tim was getting pissed. He was always getting slammed and flung due to his lack of strength. Thankfully he had his endurance also boosted by a whooping 5 stats.
If not, the amount of brunt damage that he had received so far would have almost crippled him.
He threw away the thorn that he was holding and brought out another one from his palm.
The previous one had multiple cracks on it thanks to the snakes tail slam.
One thing amazed Tim. He did not have any mana to use to cast skill or a spell. Then what was he using to cast the skill of the horned snake.
He felt that he could just continuously cast the skill, but he could not feel any resource being drained from him due to him casting the skill.
He did not know the specifics of how Death Embrace worked but he had to investigate it later.
He had been on the defence for too long. He wanted to go on the attack, but the snake was just too cunning for Tim.
Every time the snake attacked, it would then immediately go into hiding.
This was a practical hit and run case that was going on with Tim. Honestly Tim did not feel too good having his own cunny, method of combat to be used against him by a monster.
He took a deep breath and started to run, yes he was an easier target when he stood still, but he doubted fully that he would be an easy target if he was moving.
He needed to be really offensive and the first step towards being offensive was to find your target.
Tim started to skilfully jump from tree to tree looking for the damn snake.
PISH
A projectile came towards him from the side, and he instinctively dodged it. His blood was already pumping from al the running that he had being doing, so when the projectile came.
He easily dodged it. Now he knew the location of the snake. As he was about to charge towards the direction of the attack, the snake greeted him with another tail smash.
He did not even know how the snake instantly closed the distance between them but one thing that he knew for sure was that he could not be careless.
Tim raised his thorny left hand and blocked the tail smash. He was sent flying backwards due to the force in the tail but thankfully there was not a tree for Tim to slam into.
"Fucking bastard." Tim was getting pissed. He was the hunter not the hunted.
PISH
Another projectile came for Tim with intent to cook Tim's insides, but Tim was ready this time. As he dodged, he saw the snake charging towards him with its mouth open.
It seemed like it wanted to take a chump off Tim's body.
Using his left hand as a shield, he slammed his thorny hand into the mouth of the snake.
Yes he probably could lose a hand from such reckless attack, but at least he would be able to land a hit on the cunning little snake.
There were about 6 thorns that were 14 inches long on Tim's hand. When he slammed his thorny hand into the snakes mouth, he felt his left hand bones break from the mere force.
Not wasting the sacrifice that he was making, he moved his right hand to stab the thorn he was holding into the head of the snake, but the snake used its tail to block the attack.
It was a stalemate, but Tim still had an attack that he had not used.
"Acidic Spit." At point blank he casted the other skill that he got from the horned snake.
Immediately, a massive amount of acidic liquid left Tim's open mouth and struck the snakes head directly.
SPSHHHH
A lot of steam-like vapor emitted from the snake's head.
It was not that he did not like the skill, but he just needed the target to be close to him, for him to be able to cast the skill easily.
Lockingly the conditions were met when he caught the snake in a bind.
Tim immediately jumped back. He did not want to be in contact with anything acidic whether it would affect him or not.
It was a funny reason considering that he just seconds ago shot out the acidic projectile from his very mouth.
He looked at his left hand. It was already broken.
