Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Current of Destiny

Sai felt the strange pulse within him once more a subtle yet undeniable current of energy that had begun to stir deep within his being. It wasn't overwhelming, not yet, but it was there, unmistakable and persistent. The feeling was like a soft hum, an ancient force awakening from a deep slumber. It started as a faint thrum, almost like a heartbeat, but the more he focused on it, the more he could feel its presence—something buried deep inside, dormant until now.

He had no idea where this energy had come from or why it had appeared, but it was undeniably real. At first, Sai thought it might be a trick of his mind, some lingering effect of the strange world he had found himself in. But it wasn't. The sensation was growing, rippling through his body like an invisible current, a power that hadn't existed in him before. It wasn't external, nothing he could touch or see, but it was undeniable. He could feel it now, in the very core of his being.

Meanwhile, in a distant, grand hall filled with swirling, oppressive auras, the seven powerful beings sat on their thrones. Each of them was cloaked in an aura of darkness, their forms shadowed by an air of superiority. Their gazes met in silence, the tension in the room heavy enough to be felt in the air. They knew something had changed something was stirring in the world, and it could not be ignored.

"There will be a new power," one of the figures spoke, their voice calm yet tinged with foreboding. "It is unlike any we have sensed before. Stronger, more intense, and it is headed toward... the rise of the one who will change everything."

At the mention of this unknown force, a ripple of unease spread through the hall. The words carried a weight, the implication of an emerging power too great to ignore. This was not a mere shift—it was a harbinger of something monumental. A force unlike anything they had encountered before, one that threatened to upend the balance of their world. The hall's atmosphere grew colder, the air thick with tension as they began to realize the significance of this rise.

"The Blackthrone Abyss is stirring," another figure spoke, their voice now laced with urgency. "This is no natural occurrence. The one who is rising is linked to it, and that is no good omen. We must act swiftly or we may be too late to prevent the destruction that will follow."

The figures exchanged wary glances, their unease growing. They knew that even the mightiest of them could not afford to underestimate the Blackthrone Abyss. If the fate continued to flow toward it, the consequences would be dire, and no amount of power could reverse what was already in motion.

While these ancient beings debated the fate of the world, Sai's world was far simpler—and far more immediate. His body trembled as he heard the boar's grunting grow louder. The beast's tusks scraped against the rocks near the cave entrance, and Sai's heart raced.

The creature's fury filled the air, its charging footsteps sending vibrations through the ground. He scrambled deeper into the cave, his breath ragged as he sought cover, knowing the narrow entrance wouldn't keep the boar out for long.

The boar was relentless, its massive body shaking the ground with each charge. Sai knew he didn't have much time. The entrance would not hold for long against such force, and the animal's rage was palpable. His mind raced as he scanned his surroundings. The cave was small, barely offering enough space to maneuver, but it was all he had. The boar was too fast, and he had no weapons only his wits, his agility, and now, for some inexplicable reason, the strange energy pulsing inside him.

With each heavy breath, the energy within him seemed to stir, responding to his growing panic. It wasn't just fear anymore it was something else. A power he could barely understand, but something that felt intimately tied to his survival. It wasn't overwhelming yet, not the kind of power he could fully control, but it was enough. Enough to give him hope.

The boar charged again, its tusks aimed straight for him. Sai's heart skipped a beat, but instead of freezing in fear, his body moved instinctively. The energy within him surged, flooding his limbs with sudden strength. He ducked, his body twisting with newfound agility, narrowly avoiding the tusks that would have impaled him. The boar's momentum carried it forward, but Sai wasn't done.

He saw his chance. As the boar struggled to regain its footing, Sai dove to the side, grabbing a large rock from the cave floor. Without thinking, he hurled it with everything he had. The rock struck the boar's side with a sickening thud, knocking the creature off balance. The boar let out a roar of pain and confusion, its anger growing even fiercer.

But Sai didn't wait to see the beast recover. He took advantage of the boar's disorientation, his movements fueled by the strange power coursing through him. Each step, each motion felt faster, sharper, as if the world had slowed down around him. The power inside him seemed to respond to his actions, guiding him, lending him strength and speed.

The boar was recovering, but Sai was ready. As the creature turned to charge again, he sidestepped with fluid ease, dodging the tusks once more. He wasn't just running anymore he was moving with purpose, with power. His strike landed again, this time to the boar's head, sending it reeling. The creature staggered, eyes wide with fury, but it was too late.

Sai stood, breathing heavily, his body tingling with the residual energy of the fight. The boar, now weakened, finally retreated, retreating into the forest with a final snort. Sai was left standing in the quiet aftermath, his heart pounding in his chest. He had won but it wasn't just the boar that had been defeated.

The power within him had awakened, and in that moment, Sai realized that he was no longer the same person who had wandered into the forest. He was something different. Stronger. Faster. And as the pulse of energy began to subside, he understood that this was only the beginning. There was much more to discover.
