"I trust you," Primrose said firmly. "I know you'll catch me if I fall."
For a moment, neither of them said a word. Edmund stood frozen, completely overwhelmed by her answer. His head felt like it was spinning, like a sudden storm had blown through his mind.
Even without reading his thoughts, Primrose could easily tell that she had just completely defeated the mighty Lycan King's heart. She could almost see him wanting to kneel in front of her right then and there.
"I will catch you," Edmund finally said, his voice soft but full of determination. "I'll always catch you, no matter how high you fall."
Even if she were to fall from the sky itself, Edmund would surely do everything in his power to catch her.
Primrose bit back a small chuckle. There was no doubt about it now that Edmund was absolutely smitten with her.
A cold breeze swept past them, making Primrose shiver slightly. Without a word, Edmund took off his cloak and gently draped it over her shoulders.
