Lovely smiles blossomed on their faces as they replied in unison, their voices like wind chimes, "It is our sacred duty, Your Majesty, to protect you and safeguard all elves!"
At that moment, Elaria rushed into the summoning sanctuary, her expression urgent.
"What is it, Elaria?" Renjiro asked, turning to her.
Elaria's gaze flickered towards the new arrivals, widening slightly in surprise, before she focused back on Renjiro. "Your Majesty, a message from the Huntresses! Their scout owls have detected a band of human mercenaries trying to sneak towards our territory."
"Mercenary group?" Renjiro frowned.
"That's what the signs point to, yes. The owls counted roughly fifty individuals."
