Chapter 13 - Chapter 12: The Knot Curse

In the vast ocean, an isolated island drifted aimlessly, surrounded by nothing but water. On the island, countless Dementors draped in tattered cloaks wandered without purpose.

At Azkaban, the light offenders on the outer perimeter of the prison were loudly reading The Analects in a rhythmic manner, often reading the original text first and then its translation.

"Unjust wealth and high status are like floating clouds to me."

"Unjust money is as inconsequential as clouds to me."

As they read, each prisoner excitedly shook their heads, often getting worked up over bizarre interpretations within the text.

At first, they had been forced to study The Analects by Lester, but after he provided them with translations, their enthusiasm for learning skyrocketed. They all began idolizing the "Big Brother from the East," and every day, they hungrily absorbed the wisdom of The Analects.

Inside his cell, Lester sat on his personal throne, listening to the loud reading of prisoners, lost in thought.

He had originally sought a mere excuse to stab someone, but never expected things to escalate this far.

Looking at the prisoners who would gladly recite The Analects all day, Lester sighed in resignation.

Things had turned out much differently than he expected.

Since the new translation of The Analects had come out, everyone's enthusiasm for learning had increased, reducing his opportunities to stab anyone.

Even the Dementors, tasked with guarding the light offenders, seemed to have become distracted. Instead of doing their job while the prisoners recited The Analects, they stood by, swaying their heads and listening intently, completely ignoring their duties.

As a result, by the sixth day of Lester's imprisonment, his fear level finally stopped increasing.

Of course, his earnings during these days had been quite substantial. Not only did he accumulate 50,000 fear points, but he also unlocked a new system feature—more advanced lottery draws!

[Dark Lord System]

Host: Lester Baider

Magic Points: 10 (100 for an adult wizard)

Spells Mastered: Supreme Invisibility (maxed, cannot be upgraded), Wall Passing Spell (basic, cannot be upgraded)

Tasks: None

Lottery: 1 time (50,000 fear points per draw)

Originally, 1,000 fear points allowed a single draw, but now it took 50,000 for a spin. Of course, the rewards were much more generous.

For example, in the initial lottery, the best thing Lester got was Supreme Invisibility, while most other items were useless. The Wall Passing Spell was so basic that even a rookie wizard from Hogwarts could easily cast it.

As for the super-strength Viagra, it was completely useless to him—just a worthless item.

Now, with the increased cost per lottery draw, the rewards were much better. Lester was very satisfied with the system's upgrades.

"System, I want to draw!"

After accumulating 50,000 fear points over several days, Lester finally called for a lottery draw, convinced that the reward would be worth it.

[Ding! Congratulations, host, you've won the spell 'The Knot Curse.']

Lester: "???"

Looking at the glowing "Knot Curse" on the system panel, Lester rubbed his eyes in disbelief. Although he had expected an offensive spell from the level 2 lottery, he never imagined it would be something so brutal!

True to its name, the Knot Curse was every bit as vicious as its title suggested!

[The Knot Curse: Legendary Dark Magic that can twist a male enemy's genitals into a knot, rendering them powerless.]

"Wow, that's brutal," Lester muttered. Even someone as ruthless as him, who regularly stabbed people in the back, shuddered at the thought of the "twisted knot" effect. That was terrifying!

...

While Lester in the prison marveled at his terrifying new spell, a massive ship slowly approached Azkaban in the vast, desolate sea.

It had been a week since Lester had entered the prison, and it was once again the day new prisoners arrived at Azkaban.

On the deck of the ship, Aurors were explaining the rules of Azkaban to the new prisoners, as they nervously listened, filled with fear and confusion about what lay ahead.

Among the prisoners was a man with a fierce look on his face, unconcerned with the Aurors' endless chatter. Unlike the other prisoners, who were filled with dread, his eyes burned with murderous intent.

Others were here because they had committed crimes and been captured by the Ministry of Magic, but he had willingly come to Azkaban. His mission was clear: to kill the ten-year-old Lester!

Known in the dark wizarding world as a notorious dark wizard, Sāng Biāo was confident that, even without his wand, he could easily accomplish the mission.

After all, few could match him when it came to wandless magic.

In the magical world, many wizards could cast the Unforgivable Curses, but that didn't necessarily make them powerful. However, mastering silent and wandless magic was a true sign of strength. Only top-tier wizards like the Hogwarts headmasters could perform such advanced magic.

As a master of wandless magic, Sāng Biāo was one of the few dark wizards capable of such feats. Yet here he was, locked up with light offenders, a situation no one could have predicted.

The ship collided with a rock, signaling their arrival. Sāng Biāo and the other prisoners stood up, following the Aurors as they made their way toward the Azkaban prison.

Sāng Biāo had committed a small offense just to get himself thrown into Azkaban for a month. In that time, he intended to eliminate the defenseless, ten-year-old Lester.
