CHAPTER 42
Aurora held the phone to her ears, not waiting for the other line to utter a word. She doesn't want to hear her voice. "Hi. This is Aurora." She greeted in a cheerful voice. "Can you please hold your horses? Max is driving. We're on our way there. Please let him drive in peace. Thank you." And she ended the call. She wasn't sure if the woman would stop calling, so, she long pressed the power button and shut the phone down. She put it back in place. "There." Her tone changed.
She looked up at Max and he gave her an incredulous look. She raised a brow at him. "Don't give me that look. I was being polite enough talking to her that way." She huffed and crossed her arms as she turned to the window again.
She was right. Max thought that she would be rude to the person in the other line. He listened to her disbelievingly while talked to the phone. Her voice was kind enough but her words were on the edge of bursting into flames. Her irritation showed again when the call ended.
