Chapter 18 - CH 18

"Here, Hestia, this is for you too."

Looking at Hestia's excited face, Su Hai handed her the bag filled with gold coins.

"So many gold coins!"

Hestia's eyes widened in surprise as she opened the bag, her eyes practically turning into money signs. Even Hephaestus, standing beside her, glanced at Su Hai with curiosity.

In her mind, Hestia began imagining their future—living happily in a luxurious family residence.

Later that night, Su Hai lay shirtless on Hestia's bed, his back exposed as Hestia straddled him in preparation to update his status.

Biting her finger, Hestia let a drop of her divine blood fall onto Su Hai's back. As the blood absorbed into his skin, ancient script began to emerge, recording his growth.

However, as Hestia read the status, her eyes widened in disbelief.

"This… this is impossible!"

"Hestia, is something wrong?" Su Hai asked, sensing her surprise.

After composing herself, Hestia quickly copied the status onto a sheet of paper and handed it to Su Hai.

Name: Su Hai

• Strength: I0 — C504

• Endurance: I0 — C524

• Dexterity: I0 — C576

• Agility: I0 — C543

• Magic: I0 — C511

• Magic Skills: [Thunder Breathing], [Fireball Technique], [Enhanced Magic]

"Su Hai, what did you do today? Your progress has completely broken all norms!"

Su Hai took the status sheet and smiled to himself. His rapid growth didn't surprise him—after all, no one else in Orario could use abilities like Thunder Breathing and magic from other worlds.

"Hestia, I have a few secrets that I can't share right now. But I promise that one day, I'll tell you everything."

Seeing Hestia's worried expression, Su Hai reached out and patted her head with a gentle smile.

Although she was a little "unhappy" about the secrets, Hestia respected Su Hai's decision and chose not to pry.

After returning to his room, Su Hai lay on his bed, reflecting on the rapid increase in his strength. With his status now boosted by Hestia's blessing, his physical attributes had increased by nearly 20%.

"If I reach Level 1, my power will double… and as I level up further, the improvement will be even more terrifying."

As Su Hai drifted off to sleep, he was unaware that Rider—also known as Medusa—had appeared beside him. Without hesitation, she slipped under the covers, using Su Hai as a pillow with a satisfied smile.

The next morning, Su Hai woke up feeling oddly refreshed.

"Why does it feel like there's a familiar scent here…?"

Sniffing the air, Su Hai frowned slightly, sensing something strange. However, unable to pinpoint the source, he shrugged it off and got out of bed.

Su Hai had already made plans with Hestia to buy a small home in Orario. Although he didn't have enough money for a large mansion, the gold coins he earned were enough to buy a modest courtyard.

After breakfast, Su Hai and Hestia left Hephaestus' villa and headed toward the Adventurers' Guild.

Unbeknownst to Su Hai, Rider, concealed by her abilities, followed them silently.

At the Adventurers' Guild, Su Hai and Hestia approached the counter where Eina Tulle, the half-elf guild advisor, greeted them with a smile.

"Good morning, Su Hai! How can I help you today?"

"Good morning, Eina. Hestia and I want to purchase a house. I heard the Guild can help with that."

"Of course! We offer services to help adventurers find and purchase homes in Orario. There is a small service fee, but it's much faster and easier than searching on your own."

Eina handed Su Hai a few property listings and explained their prices and locations.

As Su Hai and Hestia browsed the options, Rider, still invisible to everyone else, leaned in close and whispered teasingly into Su Hai's ear.

"Master, are you planning to buy a love nest for you and Lady Hestia? How bold…"

Su Hai nearly jumped, startled by Rider's sudden whisper. However, he quickly composed himself, pretending to focus on the property listings as Hestia looked at him curiously.

"Su Hai, are you alright?" Hestia asked, tilting her head in concern.

"Ah, yeah… I'm fine! Let's pick out our new home."

As the three of them—though only two were visible—continued their search, Su Hai couldn't help but smile. Despite the secrets he carried and the challenges ahead, for the first time in a long while, he felt truly at home.

Little did he know, his adventures in Orario were only just beginning…
