Shuri had just gotten off work and returned home with Happy.
After a refreshing shower, she checked her phone and noticed a new text message from her close friend, Bora Kim.
The message read, "Omg! Have you seen this? Your sister is amazing!"
Bora had forwarded an article featuring Karlene, who had just defended a death row inmate and miraculously secured an acquittal in court.
Shuri smiled quietly as she read the article.
The public had even given Karlene the nickname " The Acquittal Queen."
She wasn't surprised by her sister's accomplishment, knowing Karlene would be able to overturn the case with the information she had provided her.
After acknowledging Bora's message, she sent a text to Karlene, "Congratulations, Lene, for winning this case."
