The morning sunlight spilled into Caroline's chambers casting its warm touch across the bedsheets where she lay. A gentle breeze carrying the scent of honeysuckle and ripe citrus disturbed the gossamer fabric that lay gently on the divan. She took a deep breath of fresh air and calmed her nerves. Today she was going to marry a king.
The seamstress had successfully blended the two cultures of Winter and Summer on her dress, she thought satisfied. Silver and pale blue embroidery met sun-kissed gold and rose pin tones on her wedding dress. A veil made of an enchanted gold and silver glitter dust would appear and disappear on her head falling down to the skirt of her wedding gown.
"I am not leaving Winter Court life merely merging my life and customs with Summer Court life, I wonder how mother felt on her wedding day," she whispered.
Yet she knew exactly what her mother would say to her on this day. It would have been something along these lines.
