The wind swept through the forest, carrying the scent of wet earth and fresh blossoms. Casimir cursed silently beneath his breath, he was angry that he could not get to Caroline. Not here and most certainly not now, the magic of the Spring Court had sealed her away and his powers, his royal blood and all his mighty men were useless against the curse caused by his grandfather.
He promised himself he would be reunited with Caroline while there was still breath in his body.
Slight movement from behind him caught his attention. It was his advisors and trusted generals they had followed him to the edge of the glade, silently waiting for new orders to come. Yet, Casimir refused to turn around as he knew they needed a plan.
When he finally spoke, his voice was low and harsh, close to a growl.
