They arrived at the parking lot and got into the car. Buckling her seatbelt, Ava glanced at Liam with curiosity. "What brought you to the museum?"
Liam started the car, his movements casual but deliberate. "Overseas business trip. Picked up a few paintings at auction and decided to donate them to the museum."
Ava's tone turned formal, a slight smile playing on her lips. "On behalf of our industry, thank you for your generous contribution."
He shot her an amused glance. "Since when did you start talking like a press release? Don't make it sound so noble—donations enhance corporate image and come with tax benefits."
She paused for a moment, studying his chiseled features under the dim glow of the dashboard. "You're really becoming quite the competent businessman."
Liam's lips curved slightly. "Mocking my capitalist mindset?"
Ava chuckled softly. "I wouldn't dare."
