Throughout the day, their messages never stopped.
Hyunwoo:"I guess I'll be sleepless again."
Hana:"I don't think staying up late is healthy, but I'll text you in the morning, don't worry."
Hyunwoo:"That would be nice. But I won't forget this night."
They continued their sweet conversation for a while longer. Even though Hana didn't stay up all night, she couldn't take her eyes off her phone, cherishing every moment spent talking with Hyunwoo.
As Hyunwoo got under his blanket, he took one last look at his phone screen. Seeing Hana's name made him feel at peace.
Maybe… something between them was really starting to grow.
Hana woke up feeling happy. There was a sense of peace inside her as if everything was going right. She wanted to stay in bed a little longer, but only one thought was on her mind. Hyunwoo. After their conversation last night, some things had become clearer in her mind, and today, she woke up with the urge to text him.
She picked up her phone, opened her messages, found Hyunwoo's number, and her fingers moved excitedly to type a message. It wasn't something too deep, but it reflected her feelings:
"Good morning!! I hope you had a nice sleep."
She hesitated for a moment. She was curious about Hyunwoo's reply, but she didn't want to overthink it. She wanted to send the message, and finally, she pressed send.
Hana wanted to enjoy the peacefulness of the morning a little longer, but her phone screen lit up again. Hyunwoo's reply had arrived.
Hyunwoo:"Good morning! My sleep was a bit restless, actually, but seeing your message made me feel better. How about you?"
Hana smiled and didn't respond immediately. His message had already brightened her morning. After thinking for a moment, she decided to reply:
Hana:"I'm good too! After our conversation last night, I felt really happy. It felt like… everything was just right."
She reread the message before sending it. Then, after hesitating for a second, she added a small note:
Hana:"And… I feel like today might be a little different. :) I want to share more with you."
She turned off her phone and started walking around her room. Now, in the quiet of the morning, waiting for Hyunwoo's reply felt exciting. Everything between them was becoming more sincere and natural, a sign of a new beginning.
Hana closed the door behind her and started walking toward school. She held her phone in her hand, keeping an eye on her messages. Even though the weather was cold, she felt warm inside while waiting for Hyunwoo's response.
Hyunwoo:"That sounds amazing! :) Let's do something together at school today?"
Hana felt a rush of excitement as she read his message. She quickened her pace and replied:
Hana:"That sounds great! See you at school. :)"
As they continued messaging on her way, she felt their bond growing stronger with every passing minute.
As Hana approached the school, she saw Hyunwoo waiting at the entrance. When her eyes met his, her heart started pounding faster. Today felt different from the others. Both of them seemed more at ease.
When Hyunwoo saw Hana, he immediately walked towards her and smiled.
Hyunwoo:"Good morning! I guess I surprised you?"
Hana nodded slightly, feeling a mix of surprise and happiness.
Hana:"Yeah, a little. But it's a nice surprise."
Hyunwoo:"Let's go in together. I realized that I feel more comfortable when I'm with you."
Hana smiled warmly at his words. It felt like all her worries had disappeared.
"I'm glad to hear that. I feel more comfortable with you too."
Hana and Hyunwoo walked into the school together. The school was more crowded than usual, so they had to move quickly, but their peaceful silence made everything feel just right.
As they entered, Hyunwoo lightly touched Hana's back and smiled.
Hyunwoo:"It's never been this chaotic here, has it?"
Hana smiled gently. But this time, her smile reflected the emotions that were growing between them.
Hana:"Yeah, everything feels a little different."
As they got closer to the classroom, Hyunwoo watched over Hana carefully. Then, suddenly, he gave her a light hug. The moment lasted only a few seconds, but it meant so much. Hana's heart raced, but she didn't want to ruin the moment by overthinking it.
As they walked into the school together, she felt that small interaction bringing them even closer.
Hyunwoo gave her a gentle pat on the back and said, "Have a great class." Then, he turned and walked toward his own classroom.
Hana stood still for a moment, trying to collect herself. Nothing around her had changed, but remembering that moment made her feel like something in her world had shifted. Smiling softly, she finally walked into her own classroom.
She took one last look at her phone screen. Hyunwoo's messages made her feel the growing connection between them. Smiling to herself, she turned off her phone and tried to focus on class. But her thoughts kept wandering back to their messages.
Hyunwoo:"I know you're feeling good, but I want you to know me even better. Let's talk a little more today?"
Hana couldn't take her eyes off the screen. Her mind drifted between different emotions as she thought about what his words meant. She started typing a reply, but then the teacher's voice filled the room, making her stop.
Hyunwoo:"There's so much outside to explore, but for now, let's focus on class, right?"
Hana:"Yeah, you're right."
She replied, but this time, she found it difficult to concentrate on the lesson.
She tried to push her swirling thoughts aside and focus, but deep down, she knew she wouldn't forget this moment anytime soon.
When the class finally ended, Hana felt like she had managed to clear her mind a little. But Hyunwoo's words still lingered in her thoughts.
Since Hyunwoo was in another class, Hana had to go to the cafeteria alone. On her way, she turned back for a moment to check if she could see his classroom, but it was too far.
"Maybe we'll message again soon," she thought.
The cafeteria was crowded. Hana went to meet up with Sera and Eunwoo. When Sera saw her, she smiled and walked over.
Sera:"Come on, let's hang out for a bit."
Hana smiled, though a part of her mind was still on Hyunwoo.
Hana:"Yeah, that sounds nice."
Eunwoo stayed quiet for a moment before finally turning to Hana.
Eunwoo:"So, Hana… how do you feel today? Did something happen with Hyunwoo?"
Hana smiled slightly, but her thoughts seemed distant.
Hana:"I don't know. But today felt… different. I guess we'll find time to talk more later."
They chatted for a while, but Hana's mind kept drifting to Hyunwoo.
Hana:"His class isn't over yet, is it?" she murmured.
Sera grinned. "Then, you'll be staying here for a while. Let's enjoy our time!"
Their time at the cafeteria didn't last long. Soon, everyone had to go to their next classes. As Hana walked with Sera and Eunwoo, her mind was still on Hyunwoo…
