Chapter 39 - When the Bunny Provokes the Wolf

Okami's POV:

The moment we step into the apartment, Usagi's eyes light up with excitement.

"Okay! Let's start my new dish!" she announces enthusiastically.

I sigh, rubbing the back of my neck. Seriously?

"Usagi, it's already 11. Go take a shower, eat something, and get some sleep," I say, setting the bag of ingredients aside and locking the door behind us.

But of course, she doesn't listen.

"No, Okami-kun, you don't get it!" she huffs, pulling out her casual clothes from the wardrobe. "When you feel like doing something, you have to do it right away! Just like how you write down your ideas the moment they pop into your mind!"

Before I can argue, she shoves her clothes into my arms and grins.

"I'll get freshened up! In the meantime, can you cut the veggies, please?" she asks sweetly before rushing into the bathroom.

I exhale sharply, shaking my head. This girl... But a small smile creeps onto my face as I make my way to the kitchen.

As I pull the vegetables out of the bag and start cutting them, the bathroom door opens.

Alright, focus. Just cut the veggies.

But the moment my eyes land on Usagi, I lose it.

Shit...

She walks toward me in an oversized T-shirt, barely covering her shorts—hell, it might as well not be there. Her bare legs are right in front of me, making my mind no better than the hoodlums lurking outside the store.

"Fuck..." I mutter under my breath, gripping the knife tighter as I try to look away.

Completely oblivious, she leans over the counter, checking the vegetables I've cut. "Baka, cut them smaller," she huffs before opening the fridge and grabbing a water bottle.

And then, as if the universe is testing me, she tilts her head back and drinks straight from it.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

Her lips part, throat moving with each gulp, her skin glistening slightly from the steam of the shower. My heart pounds like crazy.

Damn it, I need a cold shower.

She takes out some eggs and starts doing... well, whatever it is she's planning to cook. Honestly, I have no idea what she's making, but at this moment, it doesn't matter.

Because she's standing in front of the stove, completely unaware—her back exposed, defenseless.

Her cute little movements as she stirs, the way she sways slightly while focusing, the soft hum escaping her lips as she cooks... and then there are her bare legs, right in front of me, within my reach.

I try—really try—not to stare, but my eyes betray me, slowly trailing from her ankles, up her calves, then her thighs...

Damn it, Usagi.

She has no idea what she's doing to me.

Tch... She's too focused on cooking, completely unaware of the storm brewing inside me.

I know I should hold back, let her be, respect her space. I really do.

But damn it, she's the one provoking me.

Standing there so carelessly, her oversized t-shirt barely covering those tempting curves, her bare legs right in front of me. My eyes trail lower—between her thighs, the slight sway of her hips as she moves.

A slow, burning hunger coils inside me, tightening like a vice.

She has no idea how dangerous it is to be this defenseless around me.

My eyes stay locked on her, drinking in every inch of her, until she suddenly turns around.

"O...Okami-kun, I think I told you to cut the veggies!" she stammers, her voice flustered.

Her ears are red, her gaze unsteady—she feels it. She knows exactly where my eyes have been.

Damn. Caught in the act.

But instead of looking away, I smirk, leaning against the counter. "I did cut them... just got distracted." My voice is lower than usual, laced with something undeniable.

Usagi gulps, gripping the counter behind her. "D-Don't give me that look! I'm cooking here!"

I chuckle, pushing off the counter as I take a slow step closer. "Yeah? Then stop looking so damn tempting."

Her breath hitches as she steps back again—tch, dumb move. She's just making it easier for me to corner her.

"I... I'm not doing anything tempting," she stammers, trying to sound firm, but her voice gives her away.

I smirk, letting my gaze shamelessly roam over her body, taking my time. My eyes trace her from head to toe, lingering on her bare thighs before flicking back up.

"Y-you shouldn't look at me like that!" she squeaks, gripping the edge of the counter behind her like it will save her.

I chuckle, stepping even closer until there's barely any space between us. Leaning down, I let my eyes slowly trail over her again—this time stopping at her chest.

"Yeah? What's wrong with looking at my own girlfriend?" I murmur, my voice laced with amusement.

She places a hand over her chest, looking down as her cheeks burn red.

"Y-you're being a bad guy..." she murmurs, her voice barely above a whisper.

I can't help but grin. She's so damn cute when she tries to act tough. Without hesitation, I close the remaining space between us, pressing myself against her until she has nowhere left to run.

Her breath hitches, and she immediately looks up—only to be caught in my gaze, my eyes dark with hunger.

Her lips part slightly, her body frozen under my touch.

"Bad guy, huh?" I mutter, tilting my head slightly, my smirk deepening. "Then should I show you just how bad I can be?"

Her hands tremble against my chest as she weakly tries to push me back.

"St… stop… stop! Let me make my new dish!" she stammers, her voice flustered.

I chuckle darkly, grabbing her waist and pulling her flush against me.

"Let me have my meal first," I whisper against her skin before pressing my lips to her neck.

The moment I kiss her, a shiver runs through her body. Her fingers grip my shirt tightly as my lips trail along her soft skin, leaving slow, teasing kisses.

Before I know it, my hunger for her has completely taken over.

For the first time while kissing her, my hands don't reach for her waist, neck, or cheek. Instead, they go straight for her thighs.

My fingers dig into her soft skin as I lift her leg, pulling her closer, making sure she has nowhere to escape.

"Damn…" I mutter against her lips. "You're irresistible."

She gasps, gripping onto my shoulders for support, her breath shaky. Her body tenses for a moment before melting into my hold.

I smirk. She can act flustered all she wants, but I know—deep down—she's just as caught up in this as I am.

My hands slide underneath her oversized t-shirt, tracing the warmth of her bare waist. Her skin shivers under my touch as I slowly start lifting her t-shirt.

But before I can go any further, her hands instantly grab mine, stopping me. She pushes me back, her breath uneven.

"N-No…!" she stammers, her chest rising and falling rapidly. "If you make any move right now, I… I won't forgive you!"

Her voice wavers, but the determination in her eyes makes me pause.

I stare at her for a moment, then chuckle, stepping back with my hands raised in surrender.

"Alright, alright," I smirk. "I'll behave… for now."

Her grip on my hands tightens as she looks up at me, eyes wide and flustered.

"But how long are you planning to run away, bunny?" I murmur, my voice low and teasing. Leaning in slightly, I smirk. "You're living in a wolf's territory and expect him not to devour you?"

Her breath hitches, and she presses herself against the counter. "Y-You're being unfair!" she mumbles, face burning.

I chuckle, tilting my head. "Am I?"

She instantly shoves me back. "Baka! Go sit down! Or no food for you tonight!"

I sigh dramatically, raising my hands in surrender. "Fine, fine… but bunny, remember—wolves are patient hunters." I wink before stepping back, leaving her even more flustered.

Even though I surrender and let her be in the kitchen, my eyes never stop following her. The way her back moves as she cooks, the way her bare legs shift—it's driving me insane. And I know she can feel my gaze on her because her movements grow more hesitant, her shoulders tensing every time I exhale too close.

Tch. Each time, I have to step back. Each time, I have to hold myself back. But not for long.

I lean against the counter, watching her, my smirk deepening. Just wait, bunny…

Next month, I won't be stepping back.

Next month, every inch of you—you'll give it to me willingly.
