The cold tone carried a hint of helplessness as Est said, "If that were the case, I would have probably rejected you faster back then, right? After all, someone like me would only take the lives of others time and time again."
Est's words revealed a lot of information, leaving Roa momentarily stunned, unsure of what to say. The two remained silent, one person and one sword, during this time.
After an unknown amount of time, Roa finally spoke again, asking, "Then why did you choose me?"
Est countered, "At that time, could I refuse?"
Indeed, as she said, she couldn't refuse someone like Roa back then, especially since he was determined to obtain that sword.
Roa awkwardly smiled and didn't say anything further.
After chatting with Est for a few minutes, noticing Greyworth's playful expression beside him, Roa retracted the holy sword. The silver-white sword transformed into light and vanished. With a serious expression, Roa looked at Greyworth and said, "So, does this count as a success?"
Greyworth casually replied, "I suppose it counts as a success. Well, with your talent, achieving this level is probably quite easy for you."
The implication in Greyworth's words left Roa puzzled, and he curiously asked, "Isn't it just about contracting with a spirit to summon it?"
Greyworth shot him a glance and retorted, "What do you think you just summoned?"
Roa instinctively asked, "What was it?"
Greyworth explained, "What you summoned was a spirit magic armor, a spirit magic armor!"
Roa was somewhat surprised. In this academy, those who could use spirit magic armor were not more than half, but he really didn't expect that Est, appearing in the form of a holy sword, would fall under the category of spirit magic armor.
Greyworth sighed in annoyance, "Now, continue practicing your Absolute Blade Arts."
Although the Absolute Blade Arts was just a prototype, according to Greyworth, this prototype could give rise to many other sword moves. As long as Roa refined it a bit, it would become a powerful blade dance. Roa maintained a watchful attitude towards Greyworth's words; the Absolute Blade Arts was indeed a rare blade dance, but for someone who already possessed the Breath of the Sun and the Sword of Light, it wasn't exactly indispensable.
Noticing the boy's lack of enthusiasm, Greyworth frowned slightly. Feeling that her sword technique was being looked down upon by him naturally made Greyworth quite unhappy.
However, Greyworth didn't force Roa to learn anything. Roa already had enough strength; all that was left was for him to participate in the Spirit Blade Dance Festival.
After continuing to instruct Roa for a while, Greyworth unusually let him go back before dark.
This rare act of leniency from her left Roa feeling a bit of a headache.
Arriving at the dormitory where the Weasel Class was located, Roa stood at the door, lost in thought.
So, should I just walk straight in? Would that be inappropriate?
The Weasel Class dormitory was more like an excessively luxurious mansion than a dormitory; describing it as extravagant would not be an exaggeration.
After a few days of events fermenting, the academy had already heard of someone like Roa.
Although describing him as infamous might be a bit pale, fortunately, more people regarded Roa's existence with a sense of curiosity.
Noticing the increasing number of gazes around him, Roa sighed, took a step forward, and walked into the dormitory.
Ignoring the whispers of the girls, he recalled the location of Ellis's dormitory and finally stopped in front of a door. Comparing it to the memory in his mind, Roa could confirm that this was the room of the girl named Ellis.
After hesitating for a moment, he finally knocked on the door.
The sound was crisp, echoing in the quiet night.
Soon, Ellis's voice came from inside.
"I'm coming."
Roa pondered how to speak to her as he heard the sound of her slippered footsteps approaching the door.
With a clatter, the door opened, and Roa saw Ellis inside.
Compared to her usual attire at the academy, Ellis now looked much more casual.
Her short shirt revealed a patch of delicate white skin, and on her lower half, she wore a skirt that she hadn't had time to change out of.
Seeing Roa standing at the door, the girl was momentarily stunned, and then her cheeks quickly flushed. The two exchanged glances, and Ellis quickly lost the battle, shifting her gaze elsewhere.
"What are you doing here?"
This was Ellis's first sentence. Upon hearing this, Roa helplessly replied, "Did you forget? I came here at your invitation to live with you."
"Live… live with me?!"
Ellis's blush deepened, and she even had a bit of sweat on her forehead.
It seemed that Ellis had truly forgotten about this matter.
Roa shrugged; he had anticipated this situation. To be honest, it was already beyond his expectations that she didn't just slam the door in his face upon seeing him.
Roa said to Ellis, "So, are you not going to let me in?"
Ellis, flustered, stepped aside, revealing the room where the girl usually lived.
The walls were painted pink, and the room was quite large. Not only could it accommodate the daily life of two people, but it could probably fit four or five without any issue.
Ellis stepped forward, leading the boy to the living room. Roa looked around; despite Ellis's somewhat stubborn and terrible personality, the room she lived in was unexpectedly girlish.
There were a few stuffed bears on the sofa, and the table and floor were tidily arranged.
Roa sincerely praised the girl's performance, saying to Ellis, "It's quite nice."
Ellis sighed in relief and said to Roa, "As long as you like it. You didn't even let me know you were coming; I thought you wouldn't come today."
Roa replied helplessly, "I didn't know I would have time to come today."
The two fell into silence again. Ellis didn't let the atmosphere remain quiet for long and said, "Well then, let me take you to your own room."
The room was in the lower left corner of the living room, and the two rooms were right next to each other. Ellis hesitated for a moment before finally leading Roa into a bedroom that was also painted pink.
The bedroom was quite empty; aside from a table and chair next to the bed, there was nothing else.
Ellis took a deep breath and said to Roa, "You can stay here. My bedroom is right next door. If you need anything, just call me."
After saying this, Ellis seemed to think of something and glared at Roa, saying, "Of course, you can't come over at night to attack me, or I'll turn you into grilled mackerel."
