Chapter 50 - Reideran Pendant Necklace

The second Heavenly Peach was auctioned for five hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The momentum only grew stronger from there. One by one, all twenty of Ye Chen's peaches were sold to eager buyers. By the end of the auction, Ye Chen had earned nearly 12 million dollars—a number so massive that even he found it hard to believe.

In a single day, Ye Chen had fulfilled the dream he once thought impossible: changing his life completely. He was now a young millionaire.

The buyers who secured the Heavenly Peaches were beyond thrilled. Some immediately paid in full and clutched the fruits protectively, treating them like sacred treasures. Others looked on with disappointment, having missed the chance to acquire even a single bite of what they now considered a miracle fruit.

Even those who only had a small taste couldn't forget it. The flavor lingered on their tongues—and in their memories.

"Ye Chen, you're officially saved," Liu Yue said with a bright smile. She sat beside him in the VIP section, having watched the entire auction unfold with pride. "Every single peach sold—and at such an incredible price."

Ye Chen turned to her, smiling gratefully. "It's all thanks to you, Liu Yue. If it weren't for your company hosting the auction, those peaches might have sold for only a few thousand each."

Liu Yue's eyes sparkled. "Then don't forget to send me a few for free now and then, alright?"

"Of course," Ye Chen said with a nod.

The auction continued, moving on to other items—antiques, paintings, rare jewelry. Some fetched astonishing prices, with guests fiercely competing over every bid.

Ye Chen, however, felt a bit underwhelmed. None of the items stood out to him. He had hoped to come across something truly special—something of real value.

Just then, the host's voice echoed across the hall.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are approaching the final part of tonight's auction. We have three more items left. Bring out the first one."

Two staff members walked onto the stage carrying an item draped in a velvet cloth.

Ye Chen's expression shifted the moment the item was placed on display. He could sense a distinct spiritual energy radiating from it. It was a spiritual artifact—but he couldn't quite identify its tier.

When the cloth was removed, a beautiful white pendant necklace was revealed. The pendant was intricately carved, with patterns so delicate they seemed otherworldly.

"Ye Chen, you must win that necklace," a calm, melodic voice echoed in his mind.

It was Chu Yuechan.

"Yuechan? You recognize this artifact?" Ye Chen asked silently, surprised.

"Yes. It's a Celestial Tier spiritual instrument. I didn't expect something this powerful to appear at a public auction. It's called the Reideran Pendant Necklace."

Ye Chen's heart skipped a beat. He had once heard from Gu Xuan that artifacts above Tier 10 entered a new classification: Earth Tier, Heaven Tier, Legend Tier, and—at the absolute peak—Celestial Tier.

Celestial Tier artifacts defied the laws of the world. Their origins were shrouded in mystery. Even during the peak era of the Gods, when spiritual weapon masters thrived, none had successfully forged a Celestial Tier weapon. The most powerful artifacts ever made were of the Legend Tier, and crafting one took centuries—if not millennia.

Currently, only the Four True Gods and Five Demon Emperors were known to possess Celestial Tier spiritual tools. Even the Sage Deity, despite not owning one, was still revered as the most powerful being alive.

So for Ye Chen to stumble across a Celestial Tier artifact in a regular auction was nothing short of fate.

"What exactly does it do?" Ye Chen asked, eyes still fixed on the necklace.

"Its primary function is concealment," Chu Yuechan explained. "Most spiritual tools that hide your power will still expose your true strength once you begin using your abilities. But the Reideran Pendant is different. Even if you release your full strength, it will still mask your true cultivation level from others."

Ye Chen's eyes widened. That kind of power was nearly priceless. With this pendant, he could fight while remaining completely underestimated by his enemies.

"And that's not all," Chu Yuechan continued. "The Reideran Pendant also allows you to store energy within it. When released, that stored power can be unleashed in a devastating attack. The longer it's stored, the stronger it becomes. But be warned—it can be avoided if your opponent is fast enough."

Ye Chen nodded slightly, his interest now fully piqued.

Back on stage, the host addressed the crowd once more.

"This pendant necklace was discovered in a cave deep within the forest. Our experts were unable to identify its function, but the artifact is ancient. The seller has decided to start the bidding at two million dollars. Bidding starts now."

Silence.

The audience murmured uncertainly. Without clear information, few were willing to risk millions on a mysterious necklace—no matter how beautiful it looked.

The auctioneer grew nervous. Usually, an item featured in the final segment of an auction would trigger an avalanche of offers. But now, after a full thirty seconds, no one had raised a single bid.

Just when the tension in the room peaked—

"Two million, one hundred thousand."

The voice rang out clearly from the second floor.

Everyone turned toward the VIP section in surprise.

They hadn't expected someone to bid so confidently on such an unknown item.

But Ye Chen already knew.

This necklace was far from ordinary—and he had no intention of letting it slip away.
