With a sigh, he opened his eyes. As soon as he sat up, the maid entered, carrying a basin of water, clearly ready to help him wash up.
The maid wrung out the towel and approached respectfully. "Young Master Six, let this servant wipe your face for you."
Lin Yuan quickly waved his hand. Despite his five-year-old body, his mind was that of an adult. He simply wasn't accustomed to being waited upon. "It's okay. I'll handle it on my own."
The maid looked startled, as if she hadn't expected this response. She hesitated, "But Young Master used to..."

After washing up, Lin Yuan was led to the main hall of the general's mansion for breakfast.

A black cat with shiny eyes sneaked quietly behind him. Next to it, a fluffy white fox waved its tail, and you could see it had two tails.
The two creatures trailed after him into the main hall as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

When Lin Yuan turned around, he saw a black cat and a two - tailed white fox sitting there, staring at him expectantly.
Lin Yuan: "..."
He paused, then mentally asked Jiuchong, "Where did these two come from?"
Jiuchong Ring answered without hesitation, "You found them before. They were badly injured, and you begged others to save them while in tears."
Lin Yuan: "???"
I bawled and pleaded?
Me, cry for that? There's no chance! Not in a million years!

林远一边接过毛巾,一边笑着道:"以前是以前,以后早晨洗漱我自己来,你只需帮我端水就好."
女使迟疑片刻,最后还是福了福身,轻声应道:"是."
洗漱过后,林远便被带着前往将军府的正堂用早膳.
然而一路上,他的心思却完全不在早餐上,而是在另一个十分现实,甚至可以说是严峻的问题上.

一只毛色漆黑,双眸幽亮的黑猫,步伐轻盈地跟在他的身后;而另一侧,则是一只毛茸茸的白狐狸,尾巴轻轻一摆,露出了两条尾巴的特征.
这两只小东西一前一后,像是理所当然地跟着他走进了正堂.
当林远踏进餐厅,看着长桌上摆放的早餐,暂时忘却了上厕所的问题.
馒头,包子,汤羹,简单却温暖.
正当他伸手去拿包子时,手背上却被轻轻拍了一下.
林远一愣,抬头一看,只见对面坐着一位神色端庄的少女,正是他的三姐,林苏.
"先去喂你的那两只小东西." 林苏淡淡地说道,语气里带着几分理所当然的命令意味.
林远眨眨眼:"哪两只?"
林苏挑眉,抬手朝他身后示意.
林远转头一看,就看到一只黑猫和一只两条尾巴的白狐狸正蹲在他的身后,眼巴巴地看着他.
林远:"..."
他回忆了一下,心里问九重:"这俩哪来的?"
九重戒毫不犹豫地给出了答案:"是你之前捡到的.它们受了重伤,被你哭着请人救治好的."
林远:"???"
我哭着请人医治?
因为这点小事,我会哭?不可能!绝对不可能!
