Chapter 38 - Buying Clothes Together

"Wow... It's so beautiful and lively."

Amidst the bustling heart of the capital, Sharon couldn't hide her admiration.

She turned her head left and right, taking in the rows of merchants eagerly calling out to attract buyers.

Having spent her entire life in the palace, she was experiencing such a vibrant atmosphere for the first time. Naturally, excitement bubbled within her.

Beside her, Arthur chuckled and tightened his grip on her hand. "Don't get so excited that you wander off. It'll be a hassle to find you."

Sharon quickly snapped out of her excitement at his words.

"Um! Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere," she reassured him.

Her adorable expression made Arthur want to pinch her cheeks, but with the crowded streets and the constant flow of people, he held back.

They continued walking, exchanging lighthearted conversation and laughter along the way.

"Hmm?" Arthur's eyebrows lifted slightly as he noticed the many gazes directed at them.

A quick glance at his attire made him realize the reason—they were still wearing the outfits from Celine's party.

"Princess, come with me for a moment," Arthur said, his eyes landing on a clothing store about a hundred meters to their left.

Before Sharon could respond, he gently pulled her toward it.

"Welcome, Young Master and Young Lady."

As Arthur and Sharon stepped into the store, they were warmly greeted by the female clerks.

Arthur responded with a polite nod and took a quick glance around.

The store was quite spacious, offering a wide variety of clothing for customers to choose from.

However, he had no interest in looking around.

His only purpose was to find new outfits for himself and Sharon to avoid drawing too much attention.

"Is there anything in particular you're looking for, Young Master?"

A clerk's voice pulled Arthur from his thoughts.

Turning to her, he gestured toward Sharon. "Could you help find a suitable casual dress for her?"

The clerk's gaze shifted to Sharon, and for a moment, admiration—and perhaps a touch of envy—flashed in her eyes.

'What a beautiful young girl,' she mused silently.

Sharon's natural beauty, paired with her innocent and almost ethereal features, was captivating. Even as a fellow woman, the clerk couldn't help but be mesmerized.

Quickly regaining her composure, she smiled and asked, "What kind of dress do you prefer, Young Lady?"

Sharon hesitated, feeling a bit flustered. She wasn't used to interacting with strangers.

She glanced at Arthur, who offered her a reassuring smile.

"I'd like something with slightly thicker fabric and a loose fit," she said, her voice tinged with nervousness. "Preferably in white."

Noticing her shy demeanor, the store clerk couldn't help but find Sharon adorable.

"Alright, please wait a moment. I'll find one that meets your preferences."

With that, she quickly walked over to the right side of the store, where various dresses with intricate designs were neatly arranged.

While waiting, Arthur casually wandered around, searching for something that suited his taste.

Whether as Yuuya Kazuto or Aron, his preference remained the same—black with subtle purple hues.

"What kind of clothes do you like, Aron?" Sharon's curious voice came from beside him.

Arthur rubbed his chin before turning to her. "Princess, why don't you pick two for me? I prefer black with a touch of purple."

Sharon blinked in surprise and pointed at herself. "Me? Are you... serious?"

Her fashion sense was terrible—she fully admitted that. How could she possibly choose something suitable for him?

Sensing her hesitation, Arthur took her hand and reassured her with a confident smile.

"You don't need to worry about whether it looks good or not. As long as you choose it, I'm sure it will be perfect."

His unwavering confidence made Sharon blush, her excitement bubbling up until she trembled slightly.

"Since you trust me so much, I'll do my best to pick the perfect outfit!" she declared, clenching her small fists with determination.

With that, she eagerly set off, scanning the store for clothes she thought would suit Arthur.

Behind her, Arthur simply watched, his arms casually crossed over his chest.

Just then, the clerk approached him, holding two white dresses in her hands.

"Young Master, these two dresses would suit the Young Lady best," she said politely before explaining the fabric and unique qualities of each.

Arthur examined them with a nod of approval.

The first was a simple white dress adorned with delicate lavender floral patterns, while the other featured a soft cream accent with an elegant peony motif.

As the clerk had said, both dresses perfectly complemented Sharon's youthful, innocent charm.

Without hesitation, Arthur decided, "I'll take both, but she'll wear the plain white dress right away."

The clerk's eyes sparkled with delight. The dresses she had chosen were among the finest in their category, each carrying a considerable price tag.

Yet, the handsome man before her purchased them without a second thought, filling her with admiration.

'That girl is really lucky to have such a kind and charming man,' she murmured softly, a hint of envy in her voice.

If she were in that position, she would undoubtedly feel like the luckiest woman in the world. Unfortunately, she knew it was nothing more than wishful thinking.

Pushing aside her impossible thoughts, she quickly handed the plain white dress to Arthur and began wrapping the other one.

"Aron, I found two outfits that suit you!"

Sharon ran toward him excitedly, holding a set of clothes in each hand.

Arthur's gaze fell on the one in her right hand—a black robe adorned with a striking purple lightning-like pattern.

Meanwhile, in her left hand, she held a black mantle decorated with intricate purple motifs on the front, back, and collar.

"Look!" she said eagerly, holding them up. "Do you like them?"

Her beautiful face showed a mix of nervousness and anticipation.

This was her first time picking out clothes for someone else, and she couldn't help but worry that her choices might not be good enough.

Fortunately, her anxiety faded the moment Arthur examined both pieces with an appreciative look.

"These are great! I really like them," he praised without hesitation.

Both outfits matched his taste perfectly, and he was genuinely pleased with her choices.

Sharon's face lit up with excitement, a proud smile spreading across her lips.

Arthur took the clothes from her hands and, in return, handed her the white dress he had chosen.

"This is the dress for you. Let's see if it suits your taste," he said gently.

Sharon's eyes immediately lit up as she took in the beautiful white dress, and in an instant, she was captivated.

"I love it!" she exclaimed, hugging it tightly.

"Good," Arthur nodded in satisfaction. "Now, go ahead and change into it. This way, we won't stand out as much."

Only then did Sharon understand why Arthur had bought her new clothes. Without hesitation, she quickly headed to the women's changing room.

At the same time, Arthur headed to the men's changing room to change into his new outfit.

It took them about ten to fifteen minutes to finish.

When they returned, both were momentarily stunned by each other's appearance.

'Aron looks... really handsome,' Sharon murmured, swallowing nervously as a deep blush spread across her face.

The black mantle she had chosen suited him perfectly, enhancing his refined yet mysterious aura.

Meanwhile, Arthur's lips curled into a small smile as he took in Sharon's appearance.

'As expected of the main character,' he mused. 'She truly looks like the most beautiful woman in the world.'

The white dress she wore further enhanced her youthful charm—innocent yet elegant.

Its loose fit draped naturally over her frame, providing a modest yet graceful appearance.

However, the faint outline of her delicate curves still showed through, unintentionally adding a hint of allure.

After admiring each other's appearances, they paid at the cashier and stepped out of the store, feeling refreshed.

Arthur glanced at Sharon and said, "Alright, let's continue our walk."

"Um!" Sharon nodded eagerly.

But then, her gaze shifted to her right hand. Without warning, she suddenly grasped it tightly.

Arthur was momentarily surprised before a quiet chuckle escaped him.

'Looks like my efforts weren't in vain...'
