Chapter 31 - Chapter 31

"Sara, go to Yae Publishing House and find me some light novels," the Raiden Shogun said seriously. "The ones with romance in them."

"Romance light novels?" Kujou Sara was shocked. The Shogun actually wanted to read these? She looked up and noticed a young man standing beside the Shogun—the one who had descended from the sky to watch the duel before the Shogun.

At this moment, Akio stopped the Raiden Shogun and said, "No need to trouble yourself. Yae Miko has plenty of those books. Once she's done discussing matters, you can just ask her directly."

"That works too," the Raiden Shogun nodded. "Then there's nothing else. Sara, you may leave."

"Wait," Akio said. "I remember General Kujou is part of the Tenryou Commission, right? How about showing me around the Tenryou Commission?"

"This…" Kujou Sara looked at the Raiden Shogun.

"Do as he says. His words carry the same weight as mine. Just obey," the Raiden Shogun nodded, saying something that left Kujou Sara utterly stunned.

"His name is Akio, the current Great Divine Official of the Grand Narukami Shrine. He is a god, and soon, he will be Inazuma's second archon," the Raiden Shogun introduced.

"!!!" Kujou Sara's eyes narrowed slightly. This young man was actually a god? The Shogun said he would soon become Inazuma's second archon, equal in status to her?

"Shogun, do your best," Akio said, pinching the Raiden Shogun's cheek under Kujou Sara's shocked gaze.

Hmm, even though she's a puppet, her skin is smooth, soft, and warm to the touch.

"Let's go," Akio walked down and said to Kujou Sara, "I'll trouble you to show me around the Tenryou Commission."

"It's my duty," Kujou Sara quickly bowed. Since the Shogun had spoken, she naturally obeyed.

Kujou Sara followed behind Akio as the two of them left Tenshukaku.

Seeing the guards of the Tenryou Commission nearby, Kujou Sara gave them some instructions before leading Akio out of Tenshukaku.

"How many Visions have you confiscated?" Akio asked with interest, looking at the densely packed Visions on the Statue of the Omnipresent God.

"There are already ninety Visions embedded in the Statue of the Omnipresent God," Kujou Sara replied. "One was taken by Kaedehara Kazuha today."

"I've heard that after a Vision is confiscated, the Vision bearer becomes listless. Do you know about this?" Akio asked.

"I do," Kujou Sara nodded, but she said firmly, "The Shogun pursues an eternity free from desires and attachments, an unchanging eternity. I may not fully understand every decision the Shogun makes, but since it is her will, I believe in it."

"I am the general of the Tenryou Commission. My duty is to protect Inazuma and carry out the will of the Narukami," Kujou Sara said seriously. "Whether it's gods or demons, anyone who dares to oppose the Shogun will be met with my blade."

Akio nodded. Although Kujou Sara was a strict and serious person, her loyalty to the Raiden Shogun was unquestionable.

"Although I don't understand the Shogun's reason for appointing you as a new archon, from now on, I, Sara, am willing to fight for you," Kujou Sara said earnestly, looking at Akio. "Any matter concerning Inazuma, you can tell me. Within my capabilities, I will do my utmost to resolve it."

As the two of them chatted, they soon arrived at the Tenryou Commission. However, before they could enter, a bloodied soldier rushed in. Seeing Kujou Sara, he collapsed to the ground.

"General Kujou! Tatarasuna has been invaded by five thousand resistance fighters! Three thousand of our soldiers are fighting desperately! We need reinforcements!" The soldier finished speaking and immediately fainted. He was already injured, and in his urgency, he had pushed his Vision to its limits to reach the Tenryou Commission within an hour.

"What?!" Kujou Sara was furious. "These bandits! How dare they act so recklessly!"

"Medic! Take him away and treat him with all you've got!"

"All soldiers of the Shogunate, assemble!"

Kujou Sara roared. These bandits, under the guise of opposing the Shogun, were causing chaos everywhere!

"Lord Akio, I'm very sorry, but I won't be able to show you around the Tenryou Commission today. I'll arrange for someone else to guide you," Kujou Sara said apologetically.

"It's fine," Akio waved his hand, indicating he didn't mind. He said to Kujou Sara, "Even if you assemble the soldiers now, won't it be too late by the time you reach Tatarasuna?"

There was no helping it. Teyvat's technology wasn't advanced enough, and information wasn't transmitted quickly. Even if the Shogun's Army assembled and rushed to Tatarasuna at full speed, it would still take three to four hours. By then, the defending soldiers would already be dead.

"There's no other way. We can only march as quickly as possible," Kujou Sara gritted her teeth.

"Forget it. Since the Shogun has appointed me as Inazuma's new archon, I'll lend my strength to this," Akio suddenly called out to the messenger. "No need to assemble the Shogun's Army. I'll take Kujou Sara there."

"General Kujou?" The messenger looked at Kujou Sara.

"You… that's five thousand resistance fighters!" Kujou Sara frowned.

"Would the Shogun appoint me as a new archon if I didn't have enough power?" Akio smiled faintly.

"Alright," Kujou Sara didn't hesitate and said to the messenger, "Stand down!"

"Guide me!" Akio didn't say more. A golden energy enveloped Kujou Sara, and they shot into the sky like a streak of light.

"That young man is Inazuma's new archon?" The messenger was still in shock after the two had flown away. He had just heard something monumental!

Time was of the essence. Seeing Kujou Sara's anxious expression, Akio didn't waste any time and flew at full speed toward Tatarasuna. Within minutes, they were approaching the area. From a distance, they could see chaos, with smoke and fire everywhere.

In Tatarasuna, the situation was completely one-sided. The resistance fighters from Watatsumi Island, led by Gorou, were mostly elites. The Shogun's Army, on the other hand, had few Vision bearers and were caught off guard.

Gorou was fighting in the center of the battlefield, and the small fry in front of him were no match for him.

Suddenly, Gorou felt a sense of danger and quickly dodged to the side.

"Boom!" A golden streak of light descended from the sky, crashing into the center of the battlefield. In an instant, a massive dust cloud enveloped the entire area, and the ground shook violently, making it hard for anyone to stand.

The powerful shockwave sent the resistance fighters near the center flying, breaking arms and legs. Screams of pain filled the air.

The Shogun's Army, however, were protected by a faint golden light and remained unharmed by the shockwave.

"What the hell?!" Gorou blocked the flying dust, staring in shock at the center of the battlefield, now shrouded in smoke.
