As I sat on Lexus's couch, arms crossed, still slightly fuming about his designers invading my apartment this morning. He, on the other hand, looked completely unbothered, flipping through his phone like he hadn't just turned my life upside down with a single order.
"Is our wedding going to be televised?" I finally asked, breaking the silence.
Lexus glanced up at me, raising an eyebrow. "Of course. A media company wants to feature us. So, you better make sure you pull off your biggest Oscar-worthy performance."
I groaned. "Great. So I have to pretend I'm madly in love with you for the whole world to see?"
"Not just the world," he said, smirking. "My mother, your family, that jealous cousin of yours, and let's not forget your ex—if he dares show up. We have an audience to impress."
I rolled my eyes. "Right. The performance of a lifetime."
