Billie.
I narrowed my eyes at Dane, my voice sharp. "When is it happening?"
He didn't flinch. "Even if I told you, it wouldn't matter. You wouldn't be able to reach him. He's completely off the grid until it's done."
"Dane, please—"
"Billie," he cut in, tone low and firm, "just… leave it. Once Lexus makes up his mind, that's it. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will change it."
I let out a laugh. A loud, slightly off laugh. One that made Dane's brows twitch nervously.
"Uh…" he turned to Riana. "Is she… happy? Or like… excited Lexus is going to die? Because I can't tell."
Riana didn't even blink. "Nope. That's her 'I'm trying not to cry and ruin my mascara' laugh. Happens every time. Last time, it was after she found out Alex was cheating."
Dane looked mildly horrified. "Maybe she should buy waterproof mascara?"
I threw a napkin at him. "I'm right here, dumbass."
