Once again caught in Orpheus' strong arms, Lady Karina made no effort to struggle.
Doing so wouldn't earn her release from him either way.
"I went down to the kitchens to retrieve some food." She arched her brow, unafraid of the intensity with which he looked at her. "You couldn't have possibly expected us to starve all day, now could you?"
Lady Karina was bold enough that she ensured her words were well heard by those of his men that were closest, although they pretended as if they didn't.
And gradually, without an official order from their liege, the knights moved further into the hall away from Orpheus and Lady Karina.
But neither of the two noticed, for their attention was strictly on each other.
Orpheus once again didn't shy away from letting his gaze wander.
The man always liked to make it apparent where he was looking.
His eyes wandered over the neckline of her dress, settling on those plump proportions of her cleavage that seemed so very inviting.
