Due to her throat nearly dying from nerves, Lady Karina coughed lightly.
"I do not possess such skills," she answered him, fidgeting with her fingers on her lap half under the table. "The point I implied was that the best I am capable of against an enemy is perhaps tickling them to death."
Lyall snorted again.
Her comment had unexpectedly brought laughter and smiles to the knights around the table.
And Orpheus was not oblivious to the fact that she was humorous, nor was he ignorant of the male attention on her; he was only focused on his seething jealousy.
The men around the table were well-known to him for he had fought alongside them, some nearly dying on occasion and some were as close as brothers.
