Yan Xinxin's plea for help snapped Mo Chuxi out of his daze.
He hadn't even noticed that the two little ones had already gotten into the car.
"Mo Chuxi…"
Yan Xinxin called out again.
A strange sensation stirred in Mo Chuxi's chest.
It seemed that no one had ever addressed him so directly by his full name before, especially not a woman.
Oddly enough, it didn't sound bad?
Lost in thought, he glanced at Yan Xinxin standing in the rain. Without overthinking it, he got out of the car and helped load her suitcase into the trunk.
Once inside the car, the warmth was a welcome relief.
However, Yan Xinxin, dripping wet and aware that she'd soiled his luxurious car, started to feel uneasy.
"Could you drop us off at a hotel… um… something reasonably priced?"
Yan Xinxin spoke softly, but when she didn't hear a response for a while, she looked up to find a dry towel being handed to her.
