The entire area fell into silence. And out of sheer embarrassment—
"I... If you'd excuse me!" I squeaked, retreating back to my group of four, who immediately surrounded me with praise.
Then, Lady Jobina's voice rang out, full of excitement.
"Swanir of the Phantom Fangs wins in flying colors! To be honest, I don't even understand what happened, but it was really cool!"
I had braced myself for ridicule, for disbelief... but instead, the crowd burst into cheers.
