Chapter 29 - The power of the Queen of Death

Nestled behind a curtain of lush, towering trees, in an elite enclave not far from Raiden's opulent penthouse, stood a breathtaking mansion that radiated grandeur. The sprawling estate loomed gracefully at the edge of a shimmering man-made lake, its waters sparkling under the moonlight, reflecting unmatched luxury. By the expansive poolside, a lavish party pulsed with life, aglow with vibrant neon lights and the thumping bass of music that shook the night air.

College girls, their figures like super models, danced with fluid grace in barely-there bikinis, their sensual movements captivating every male gaze in the vicinity. The lights glinted off their sweat-slicked skin, creating an intoxicating spectacle. Amid the revelry, a young man with dirty-blond hair and golden-brown eyes lounged on a plush, secluded sofa, exuding an effortless charisma. His tanned skin glowed under the ambient light, and two stunning college girls—curves sculpted to perfection—flanked him closely.

David Stewart, the man of the hour, flashed a confident grin. His hands roamed boldly over the curves of the girls beside him, gripping gently yet with commanding authority, eliciting soft squirms of delight and teasing anticipation. One of the girls, her long, wavy hair cascading over her shoulders, fed David a plump red grape, her lips curling into a mischievous smile. "Young Master David, this party… it's absolutely unreal," she purred, her voice dripping with playful charm. David chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that carried his undeniable swagger.

Across the pool, a burly, towering man raised his wine glass, the ruby liquid catching the light in a mesmerizing glint. "Young Master David, thanks for the invite to this… spectacular bash!" he boomed, his voice cutting through the chatter, followed by a chorus of laughter from the other guests.

David's grin widened, his eyes gleaming with eager anticipation. "Haha, of course, my friend! It's been way too long since we threw a birthday bash this wild!" He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper laced with intrigue. "And soon, the real prize arrives. The goddesses of the Lunarian idol group… they'll finally be mine." His laughter echoed, brimming with unbridled desire, as the girls beside him giggled flirtatiously.

But beneath the dazzling veneer of the party, a dark shadow crept closer. At the mansion's front courtyard, Devina and Raiden moved with lethal precision, like twin predators stalking their prey. Crackling silver-blue electricity sparked from Raiden's body, spreading outward like a miniature storm, mesmerizing and deadly. In mere moments, dozens of heavily armed guards stationed around the mansion crumpled, their bodies collapsing under the overwhelming force of his magic.

Devina, adorned with QSI gloves that pulsed with a mysterious aura, stood with poised elegance amid the chaos. Her sharp eyes glinted with unshakable confidence. She extended her right hand toward the ground, and from her slender fingertips, swirling black circles materialized, spinning like gateways to a realm of death. One by one, grotesque skeletons rose from the portals, their eyes glowing with an eerie blue-black light, their dark auras weighing heavily on the air.

"What… what kind of monsters are those?!" one guard stammered, collapsing to his knees, his face drained of color as he stared at the horrifying scene. His legs trembled, unable to support him any longer.

A skeleton extended its bony hand, and a black fireball shot from its palm, engulfing the hapless guard in an instant, reducing him to a pile of ash scattered by the wind. Another skeleton leaped high into the air, its sword swinging with blinding speed, unleashing razor-sharp wind blades that tore through nearby guards. Blood and screams filled the air, but the pounding music from the party drowned out the sounds of battle.

"They… they can use magic?!" another guard shrieked, his voice breaking in panic. He turned to flee, but a low rumble from the earth stopped him cold. Devina, a sly smirk playing on her lips, issued a command through her QSI gloves. A skeleton wielding earth magic gestured, and jagged stone pillars erupted from the ground, impaling the fleeing guards with brutal force, their bodies flung into the air with gruesome wounds.

In less than five minutes, Raiden and Devina had neutralized every guard in the front courtyard. The thumping music ensured the partygoers remained oblivious to the carnage just beyond the mansion's walls.

Devina let out a soft sigh, her long hair swaying gently in the night breeze. "Huff, controlling so many skeletons with magic at once is honestly kinda draining," she murmured, her voice soft but brimming with confidence.

Raiden, flashing a roguish grin, stepped closer. His arm slid around Devina's slender waist, pulling her into a gentle yet intimate embrace. With a tender motion, he pressed a kiss to her cheek, making her flush. "Of course it's tiring, babe," he whispered, his voice low and warm against her ear. "But you still look absolutely stunning doing it."

Devina's cheeks burned, though she quickly masked her fluster with an adorable pout, her tsundere charm on full display. "Hmph, you shameless flirt!" she huffed, turning her face away in mock annoyance.

With relaxed yet confident strides, the duo navigated the mansion's opulent corridors. Every guard they encountered was swiftly dispatched, their bodies transformed into obedient skeletons under Devina's command. Soon, a terrifying army of hundreds of skeletons marched ahead of them, ready to crush anything in their path.

Using his Ethereal Sight, Raiden scanned the poolside party area. His eyes glowed with silver-blue light, silver octagram stars shimmering in his pupils, capturing every detail with flawless precision. "Hmm, to avoid unnecessary casualties, I'll knock the women out and implant an illusion that the party's going off without a hitch," he muttered, his voice steady with resolve.

Channeling a massive surge of magical energy, his eyes blazed brighter. With masterful skill, Raiden wove an illusion so seamless it blurred the line between reality and dream. Targeting every woman at the party, he sent them into a deep faint in the real world, while in their minds, the celebration raged on, vibrant and uninterrupted.

The men at the party, including David, froze in shock at the sudden, surreal scene. "What the hell's going on?!" one guest shouted, panic rising. The DJ scrambled to cut the music, and an eerie silence replaced the pounding beats, jarring everyone present. The heavy, synchronized footsteps of hundreds of skeletons echoed, followed by a deafening crash as the mansion's walls were smashed apart.

David stumbled off the sofa, his face ashen. "What… what are those things?!" he stammered, his voice trembling.

"Skeletons?! Why are there walking skeletons in the mansion?!" a nearby man cried, his eyes wide with terror.

"Young Master David, what the hell is happening?!" another guest demanded, his voice edging on hysteria.

Amid the chaos, Raiden and Devina emerged at the threshold, framed by their army of menacing skeletons. The smiles on their faces promised an unstoppable storm.
