Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Randomized Dungeon

He and Piyush were admitted into Rahul's group while there were another 12 boys besides them in their group.

Cough!

Noticing everyone's attention attracted to himself, Rahul cleared his throat.

"I will guide you all, so I expect nothing except obedience. Don't get on my nerves."

Piyush lightly clapped his hands.

"Nice speech! But I liked it."

"Ok, you guys just follow while I start from the basics about this sanctuary and the dungeons."

Rahul, with his group, entered the sanctuary where bodyguards stood with firearms carried on their bodies.

"Pass!"

Showing the group pass, they entered without any drama.

A monolithic, monumental gateway stood alone before them, showing numerous scars as if it had suffered inhumane torture of nuclear and rune energy.

"It is said that this place was the only one left fortified and no beast or monster was able to claim this sanctuary. And the main point which attracts tourists is the Gate of Gold, though the gate isn't even made from an ounce of gold."

Rahul chuckled, and the monumental gateway opened.

Creak!

Creak!

The gateway faltered enough to allow entry into the sanctuary.

"Go one by one."

Sam's eyes widened at the sight as he stared blankly.

An open field, maybe enough to organize 15 to 20 cricket matches at a time.

Thud!

Piyush's head butted Sam's head as he stopped in his tracks.

"Hey Sam! Where are you looking? Move ahead!"

"Ah! Sorry."

"It's ok."

Sam thought that inside the sanctuary there would be carcasses of hanging grotesque and hideous monsters plastered as showcases, but here was an open field only bearing the canopical trees making shy shapes. There were also numerous people on the ground with their families, discussing and lightly playing, which added to the beauty of the open field.

But where is the so-called dungeon? Gate of Gold?

Though he had numerous questions, he decided not to show his curiosity because everything would soon be clear to him, and he just had to pass the time.

As he had decided, Rahul continued to move and Sam continued to follow behind him, and Piyush followed behind him, and the other students followed behind them.

"I know someone would have doubts, so let me clarify. This was made here so tourists can enjoy, because this is only the open field, and you can already see a gate at the corner of every field."

Rahul pointed at each corner.

Sam just nodded his head, waiting intently, light overflowing in his eyes, because today he was personally going to execute at least one monster.

Just the imagination brought goosebumps across his entire body and he fidgeted excitedly.

Calm down Sam!

"Every corner of the field leads somewhere like dungeons, Gate of Gold, hanging ancient monsters, etc., which always refresh after 12 hours. And it is said that there are hundreds of thousands of dungeons linked with the doors..."

Rahul's voice almost dropped and he waited silently to let them digest the information, then continued after a few moments.

"The main point is that no one can guarantee which dungeon they are going to enter because these dungeons always spawn randomly linked to the doors. That's what adds thrill to the adventure. Imagine entering a dungeon full of monsters, full of traps, wriggling mouth monsters. But the safe point is that these monsters are always ranked below peak F-rank."

"Of course, if you want to take your adventure to another level, I suggest choosing an E-rank sanctuary."

Listening, Sam himself understood the beauty of the sanctuary, as if there lay numerous dungeons in an array, already classified in class and letting the sanctuary refresh them and randomly choose one of those.

'Coding on a laptop, but coding these dungeons may... bring enough self-fulfillment.'

'If only I could get this type of job, then I'd make a world—no, a universe-level maze where if anyone entered the dungeon, then their life would be stuck in endless loops, with failure leading to another maze or adventurer dungeon.'

Sighing at his own absurd thinking, he mockingly smiled to himself.

"When will I get rid of this absurd imagination illness!"

As he was also busy in himself, everyone stood before one of the doors while the teacher stood beside them.

"You guys are ready to enter the dungeon?"

"Yes sir!"

"I expect no foolish decisions or moves. And if I notice, then you already know my belt!"

Every student shuddered, tightly grabbing their butts as if the worst nightmare was going to repeat itself once again.
