Lunara shot Naomi a sharp look. "No, we shall not."
Naomi chuckled but didn't push further. "Fine, fine. But it would've been fun to see his reaction."
Lunara ignored that, focusing on the counter as the barista called out their order. She picked up her drink, taking a long sip, as if the coffee could wash away the irritation bubbling inside her.
Naomi grabbed her own cup and turned toward the seating area. "Where should we sit?"
Lunara scanned the café, intentionally avoiding the corner where Eryx was. "Somewhere far from unnecessary distractions."
Naomi smirked but followed her lead. They found a small table near the window, offering a perfect view of the street outside.
But just as Lunara settled in her seat, she heard a familiar voice from behind.
"Wifey?"
Lunara froze.
Her grip tightened around her cup as she turned to face Eryx, who stood there with his usual unreadable expression. He had just called her that out loud like it was nothing.
