Lunara stood frozen in front of the clothing racks, arms crossed as she eyed the dresses with barely concealed reluctance. Everything was too frilly, too fitted, too… not her. She had always been a t-shirt-and-jeans kind of person, and the thought of slipping into any of these made her uneasy.
Eryx, watching her hesitation, let out an exaggerated sigh. "Naomi," he said, turning to her, "take Mila for a bit."
Naomi raised an eyebrow but took Mila into her arms without argument. But then, something flickered in her eyes. "Eryx…" she called for him, waving her hand to motion him closer. "Need my help?"
"What?" Eryx frowned, leaning in.
"I'll take Mila to buy strawberries, and then I might also bring her home…" Naomi whispered in his ear.
Eryx shifted slightly. "And what's the deal?"
"Back me up later. I'll use it when the time comes."
Eryx studied her for a moment before sighing. "Fine. Just don't go overboard."
