Chapter 19 - 19 Leroy Sane

After the meeting with Robert Lewandowski, the Manchester United team drifted onwards to their next destination, Schalke 04.

At Schalke 04's training camp, Tiger King and Woodward wasted no time—they went straight to the club's offices to discuss a transfer.

"800,000? For a skinny kid who just knows how to dribble?" Schalke 04's executives barely hesitated before accepting Woodward's offer. They even encouraged them to speak directly with the player.

By the training ground, Tiger King finally laid eyes on the young prospect—slender, yet full of raw potential. The boy turned toward them, slightly puzzled, "Hello, sir. Are you looking for me?"

Woodward introduced himself first before shifting the focus to Tiger King. The young man's eyes widened in surprise. "Mr. Tiger?"

He had heard all the media buzz about the new Manchester United manager but never expected to see him standing here, watching him play.

Tiger King smirked. "Man, I think you should start calling me 'boss' in a few days."

He took a step forward, eyes locked onto the youngster. "We just finalized a deal with Schalke 04. We want to bring you back to England. What do you think?"

The boy froze, taken aback. "Me? Why me?"

Tiger King pointed at him, unwavering.

"Because I believe in you. And I'll make you a promise—come to Manchester United, and in a few years, the No. 7 jersey will be yours."

He paused before sealing the moment with a name.

"What do you say, Leroy Sané?"

Manchester United's No. 7 jersey is more than just a number—it's a legacy. A symbol of greatness.

Legends have worn it before: Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best. Each name etched into football history, each player a superstar who shaped an era.

For Leroy Sané, the weight of that promise was almost overwhelming. He looked at Tiger King, eyes wide with disbelief. Could he really be next in line?

Meanwhile, Woodward thought, 'Tiger King played his trump card—the legendary No. 7 jersey.' And it worked. The very next day, Leroy Sané signed his contract with Manchester United.

Tiger King was pleased. Another promising talent secured. Before parting, he gave Sané a firm handshake and a simple instruction: "Enjoy your vacation. On July 15, training starts. Don't be late."

As they were leaving, Woodward turned towards Tiger King wanting to ask for clarifications regarding the outrageous statements he made in front of the youngster.

Tiger King smirked, glancing at Woodward. "When Ronaldo arrived, he was just 18. Didn't he wear the No. 7 jersey?"

Woodward scoffed. "Come on, Tiger. Ronaldo was a once-in-a-generation talent, handpicked by Sir Alex. Sane is just a promising kid—you can't compare the two."

Tiger leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes. "You'll see, Ed. One day, he'll be worthy of it. And when that day comes, you'll remember this conversation."

Woodward chuckled, shaking his head. "You really are something else."

But Tiger King wasn't making promises—he was making prophecies. Tiger King simply didn't respond. He simply leaned back, closed his eyes, and rested.

Because for him, this wasn't a gamble. It wasn't a lie. It was a vision. One day, Leroy Sané would wear the No. 7 jersey. One day, he would be worthy of it.
