Chapter 195 - 87. The Wronged Little Policewoman

The women left, and as Sora watched the helicopters disappear into the horizon, a mysterious smile appeared on his lips.

No one would know that it was these women who, in the coming year, would turn the entire world upside down!

The once bustling castle became quiet again. Besides Sora, only five women remained: Lady Saya, the clueless Shizuka, the little loli Alice, Miyamoto Kiriko, and Komuro Aoi.

Lady Saya was the epitome of laziness and indulgence. She was good at giving orders and making plans, but when it came to dealing with those disgusting zombies, she wouldn't lift a finger!

Originally, Sora had intended to have Takagi Saya join the training, but seeing her reluctance, he didn't force her. This girl was more of a thinker, and her physical abilities weren't as important. Besides, with so many women gone, he needed someone around to keep him entertained, and this tsundere girl was perfect for that role!

As for Shizuka, she wasn't cut out for such tasks. Sora was genuinely worried that if this clueless big moe went along, she might not make it back!

Since she was more of a support type, it was fine for her to stay at home and be well taken care of. No need to go.

The little loli, on the other hand, was eager to join, seeing how hard the older sisters were working. Under Sora's guidance, she had made significant progress recently, and her wind powers could now be used in combat.

However, Sora still didn't let her go. Little girls should just play happily and be trained; the bloody tasks should be left to the adults.

Finally, there were Kiriko and Aoi. They were the last among the women to form a contract with Sora, and now they were only slightly stronger than ordinary people, not yet ready for the battlefield. Sora planned to use this time to train them thoroughly, especially Aoi!

Nearly half of the zombies in Tokonosu City had been eliminated by Sora's women. If he wanted to, he could clear out the rest in a day or two, but he chose not to.

If all the nearby zombies were wiped out, how would the original protagonist, Komuro Takashi, improve? Sora was eagerly waiting for him to grow stronger and come to reclaim everything!

This time, Sora wouldn't let Miyamoto Rei or any other woman intervene, nor was he interested in doing so himself. Instead, he planned to let Aoi take action.

Sora was truly looking forward to it. Would Komuro Takashi be able to defeat Aoi, who was growing rapidly under his daily training? It would surely be an epic mother-son battle!

Alright, Sora admitted it—he was truly evil, but he couldn't help but want to see it!!!

"Women, accept your master's training!"

Turning around, Sora looked at Miyamoto Kiriko and Komuro Aoi standing together, a wicked smile on his lips.

Both women trembled, knowing the fate that awaited them.

Lady Saya cast a sympathetic glance at these two former aunts, now sisters, but she couldn't help them. With so many sisters gone, that big bad guy would surely vent all his energy on them, and her own days wouldn't be easy either…

Meanwhile, the clueless Shizuka and the pure little loli Alice didn't understand what was happening, but in their eyes, their husband and big brother were always right. They were thinking about how they should work hard too, to share some of the burden for their husband and big brother.

Tokonosu City, Shopping Center.

"Damn it, it's endless! Where are these monsters coming from?"

"It's been so many days, why hasn't the government sent any rescue?"

"These past two days, the monsters nearby have been increasing. If this continues, we won't be able to hold out here."

"Ah, young people these days are so impatient. Don't be impulsive, don't be impulsive…"

"Everyone, don't give up. Be patient, someone will come to rescue us."

Inside the shopping center, a group of people had gathered. They had been hiding here since the disaster began, moving from hope to despair as days passed. Watching the monsters outside that could burst in at any moment, people grew increasingly anxious.

"Everyone, please calm down. Don't lose heart. We, the police, will soon send a rescue team to save you all!"

This was the voice of a woman in her twenties, and from her tone, you could tell she was the lively and enthusiastic type.

With short orange hair, a sunny smile, and wearing a police uniform skirt, the woman was named Nakaoka Asami, a traffic officer from the East Police Station of Tokonosu City, fresh out of the academy.

Clearly, Asami-san was unfortunate. She had just started her job when this massive disaster struck, and like the ordinary citizens, she was trapped here, cut off from the police station.

But as a police officer who took her duty to serve the people seriously, even though she was scared and anxious, the righteous and sunny Asami-san felt she couldn't lose her composure. She had to set an example because she was a proud police officer!

So, these past few days, Asami-san not only took on the exhausting task of guarding everyone's safety but also had to comfort people's emotions, keeping their hopes alive.

Though it was hard, she felt everything she did was worth it, as the shopping center had held out until now. As long as nothing unexpected happened, she would continue to hold out until the rescue arrived!

Undoubtedly, she was a pure, kind, and optimistic girl. In peaceful times, many people would surely like her.

But unfortunately, this was the apocalypse…

"Calm down? How can I calm down after so many days?"

"Yeah, what are you police even doing? You can't even protect the lives of citizens. I'm going to file a complaint against you!"

"You keep saying there will be a rescue, but where is it? You liar! Big liar!"

Though she was just a delicate young girl, because she wore that police uniform, these people, driven to the brink of madness, didn't care. They all took her as their target for venting. Some even picked up nearby objects to throw at her.

"Ah!!! I… I…"

Raising her hands to shield her head, the girl felt incredibly wronged. She had tried her best, so why were they treating her like this…

"Heh, little girl, haven't you always called yourself 'this officer'? Then act like one!"

This was a man in his thirties, wearing a black shirt and a black headband. He grabbed Nakaoka Asami's hand, sneering coldly.

"This officer… I've tried my best, I really have…"

The girl felt a pang of pain in her heart, her eyes flashing with panic, almost on the verge of tears.

And "this officer" was just her catchphrase; she didn't mean anything else by it.

"Hmph, a useless police officer like you!"

Without a hint of sympathy, the man continued to mock her, his other hand reaching out to pinch her chin.

"Shimada, that's enough!"

A loud shout. Hearing this voice, Nakaoka Asami's eyes lit up with joy, and she called out in surprise:

"Tamaru-san!"

This was also a man in his thirties, wearing glasses, but he didn't look scholarly at all. Instead, his stern face gave off an aura of authority.

"Hmph!"

With a cold snort, the man with the headscarf, known as Shimada, flashed a hint of gloom in his eyes. However, he seemed quite wary of the bespectacled man and, after letting go of Nakao Asami's hand, turned and left.

"Thank you, Mr. Tamaru!"

Asami Nakao ran over, her face filled with gratitude as she spoke to the man.

"Sigh, Miss Asami, you…"

He sighed, a trace of pity flashing in his eyes, but he hesitated and didn't finish his sentence.

In the end, he said nothing more, just gently patted the girl's shoulder before turning and leaving.

"Mr. Tamaru…"

A look of confusion flashed in Asami's eyes. She didn't understand what he meant. Could it be that even this one person who could still understand and help her was now disappointed in her?
