Malachi.
I hear him, as I brush my teeth. Not responding . A knock comes on the door and I finish from the bathroom, answering it.
"Coffee?" I ask Nathan, as I grab a cup for myself.
He nods. There's fresh bagels. I grab one for myself, extending a cup and bagel for him.
When we are finally alone, I sip my coffee and eat my bagel.
"What I did, I did because you're my brother." I look straight into his eyes.
The old pain and fear of yesterday, resurfaces. A knowing look crosses his face and I think we share a moment of understanding. The silence between us, enough words.
My phone rings and I pick it.
Unknown: Done, Sir.
I know who it is and I know the subject. Wave of excitement floods me, knowing Melanie would be happy. It's like her happiness has become my satisfaction. Her quest for revenge, my crusade.
"I've got work to do." I'm heading out. "Stay here. Don't make unnecessary movements. I'd send some of the boys here." I inform Nathan.
