Chapter 94: Sigma George
"What happened to you two?"
George threw Black Widow to the ground and cast several Stunning Spells to knock out the mutant clones surrounding Tony.
Tony and Wolverine were different. Wolverine was nearly immortal—even if he was overwhelmed, he wouldn't die. But Tony relied entirely on his Iron Man suit. If the suit was destroyed, he was just an ordinary person and could easily be killed.
"You'll have to ask Jacket Wolf about that. He can't bring himself to fight his former comrades, especially that woman."
Tony, panting heavily, pointed at the group of Phoenix clones and complained.
It turned out that while Wolverine could go all out against clones of Black King, Emma Frost, and even Sabretooth or his own clone, he struggled when facing clones of his former X-Men teammates.
Especially when it came to the nine Phoenix clones.
"Tin Man, don't call me Jacket Wolf! I may struggle with my former comrades, but you can't fight any woman!"
Wolverine, having finally broken free from Phoenix's entanglement, retreated to George and Tony's side.
Tony adjusted his suit and replied matter-of-factly:
"I prefer fighting women in bed, not here, where I'd have to smash them to pieces. That's not gentlemanly."
"You deserve getting beaten like this!"
George couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"We can't waste any more time. With all this commotion, the police will be here soon."
"Reparo!"
With a wave of his hand, George cast a Repairing Charm, restoring Tony's shattered Iron Man suit to its original state. Ignoring Tony, who was on the verge of an existential crisis, George began reassigning tasks:
"You two handle the non-X-Men and male mutant clones. I'll take care of the rest!"
In George's eyes, there were only enemies and allies—no distinction between men and women. Chivalry was reserved for allies, not enemies.
As a Sigma male, even if the enemy was a woman, he would fight with full force and kill her as a sign of respect.
"Transform!"
Activating the Giant Magic, George once again transformed into a nearly four-meter-tall giant. He grabbed his mace, leaped toward the group of Phoenix clones, and with a spinning attack, crushed most of them.
Then, he began rapidly clearing out the remaining mutant clones with a combination of Stunning Spells, Full Body-Bind Curses, Confundus Charms, and magnetic blade control.
Within minutes, the clones of Phoenix, Storm, Mystique, Shadowcat, and Emma Frost were all reduced to broken pieces.
"So brutal!"
Watching George's fighting style, Tony and Wolverine were both stunned.
On one hand, they thought George's ruthless approach to dealing with so many beautiful women was brutal. On the other hand, they were shocked by George's overwhelming strength.
Previously, they had mostly seen George's curved shots and various magical tricks. This was the first time they had seen him fight at full strength.
With all the female mutant clones taken care of, Tony and Wolverine no longer held back and unleashed their full power.
Tony, with his repaired suit, launched small homing missiles capable of easily destroying tanks. The powerful explosions overwhelmed the Black King clones, who couldn't absorb all the energy and were blown to pieces.
Wolverine, abandoning all defense, went on the offensive. His sharp adamantium claws were unstoppable.
The clones were, after all, just clones. The strongest among them barely reached Level 3. Without numbers in the thousands or tens of thousands, they weren't much of a threat.
"Is this beauty also a mutant clone?"
After dealing with all the mutant clones, Tony walked over to the unconscious Black Widow and couldn't help but admire her.
He had seen plenty of stunning women, but few matched Black Widow's looks and figure.
"She's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Black Widow. Don't worry about her. The police are coming; we need to leave!"
Hearing the approaching sirens, George quickly picked up the mutant clone corpses and threw them into the burning research building. He then used a Scouring Charm to remove all traces of blood.
This was to prevent anyone from using the clones' genes for further experiments.
After finishing, he returned to his normal size, spread his wings, and carried Wolverine and Iron Man back to the hidden X-Jet.
Not long after George and the others left, a large number of Mexican police arrived at the burning research building.
"Sorry, ma'am, you're under arrest. We suspect you're involved in the murder and arson at the leukemia research institute. Please cooperate with our investigation!"
When Black Widow woke up, she heard these words from a Mexican police officer and looked at the handcuffs on her wrists, utterly confused. Then, a memory surfaced in her mind.
In the memory, she had successfully infiltrated the research institute as Madame Natalie. While stealing the research data, she was discovered and engaged in a fight with the guards.
To escape, she set the institute on fire but was knocked unconscious by an explosion.
The memory felt real, but her sharp mind quickly picked up on numerous inconsistencies.
"First, I need to deal with these cops."
Using her impressive figure to distract the officer, she delivered a swift elbow strike, knocking him out. She then took the keys from his pocket, unlocked the handcuffs, kicked open the van door, and jumped onto the police car behind.
What followed was a car chase and a call to headquarters to report the situation.
Meanwhile, George and the others returned to Tony's mansion in Malibu via the X-Jet. After the battle, Tony's suit was running low on power, so he couldn't fly back on his own.
After dropping off Tony, George and the others returned to the mutant school. Once back, George immediately sought out the elderly Professor X and briefed him on the mission.
Then, he pulled out the young Professor X clone from his pocket.
"So, Professor, can you transfer your consciousness into this body?"
"I can, but I'm not sure I want to."
Professor X sighed.
"I'm already a man who should be dead. The only reason I'm still alive is to help these children."
When his memories returned, he had considered ending his life. The only reason he hadn't was that the children at the school still needed a proper teacher.
Before George could start persuading him, Wolverine stepped forward and grabbed Professor X's shoulders:
"Charles, snap out of it! With a healthy body, you can teach the kids better. In your current state, you get tired after just a few classes.
If you want to make amends, living is better than dying. Death is just an escape, and you know that better than I do!"
After Wolverine's impassioned plea, Professor X finally agreed to transfer his consciousness into the young clone body.
