Chapter 154: Final Exams
"Memory Read!"
The moment George lunged toward him, Sol activated his signature spell—peering into his opponent's mind to exploit emotional weaknesses. His battlefield was littered with earth-made puppets resembling his enemies' loved ones: siblings, parents, lovers.
But when he tried probing George's memories...
"Legilimens!"
George's mental barriers held firm—while his own spell backfired spectacularly.
With third-tier psychic abilities amplifying his Legilimency Charm, George inverted the connection, flooding Sol's mind instead. The earth puppets crumbled as Sol froze, eyes glazed.
"You bastard! Partial Takeover: Beast Arm!"
Elfman—whose trauma over his deceased sister had been ruthlessly exploited—slammed a monstrous fist into Sol's defenseless torso, burying him underground. Knockout.
"Nice hit. Now help Gray!"
Elfman (Mirajane's brother) specialized in Beast Soul Takeover, his strength nearing standard guilds' S-Class.
When George's team reached Gray's fight, however, the scene turned comical.
Juvia—hopelessly smitten with Gray since their last battle—was actively sabotaging her ally Totomaru while pretending to fight.
Before George could intervene:
- Totomaru (Fire Element wielding seven-colored flames) fell to Gray's ice constructs.
- Juvia promptly surrendered.
With this, only Jose remained standing among Phantom Lord's forces.
Erza—who'd been barely holding her own—now had the entire Fairy Tail guild at her back, including a mostly-recovered Natsu. (The Dragon Slayer's stamina defied biology.)
"We are—FAIRY TAIL!"
The war cry united them as they swarmed Jose.
Magic of every type hammered the depleted Wizard Saint:
- Close-quarters strikes
- Long-range bombardments
- George's dirty tricks (hiding behind allies to spam Killing Curses and invisible blade spells)
After thirty minutes of relentless assault:
1. George hit Jose with an Imperius Curse (1-second stun)
2. Erza delivered the final hammer blow
Jose collapsed. Defeated.
"We... WON!"
Panting but triumphant, Fairy Tail roared in victory. Against all odds—without their Master or S-Class mages—they'd toppled a Wizard Saint.
"I'm proud of you all."
Makarov's voice rang out. Unbeknownst to them, he'd arrived during the battle but chose to observe—letting them grow through adversity.
The Magic Council's investigators soon appeared, ruling:
1. Phantom Lord instigated the conflict
2. Jose imprisoned; guild disbanded
3. Mobile fortress & Jupiter Cannon awarded to Fairy Tail (George's insistence)

Meanwhile, in Hogwarts...
"Pathetically easy."
George (HP-world clone) stepped into sunlight after his History of Magic final, smirking.
All exams had been trivial:
- Written portions? Answers sprang to mind instantly.
- Practicals? Child's play:
- Making pineapples tap-dance
- Transfiguring mice into snuffboxes
- Brewing Forgetfulness Potions
His shared talents across clones, combined with relentless study, had made him Hogwarts' secret top student.
