Chapter 165 - Chapter 166: The Astonished Aurors

Chapter 166: The Astonished Aurors

"Light Magic: Three Pillar Gods!"

Seeing the situation, George immediately spread his wings and flew above Hermione and the others. A holy light magic circle appeared above his head, and three beams of light descended around them, forming a large protective barrier that shielded everyone.

At this moment, every witch and wizard—even One-Eye, who was still unleashing the lightning storm—was stunned.

Bathed in sacred white light, with pristine wings spread wide as he hovered in the sky, blocking the terrifying lightning, George looked less like a wizard and more like an angel from Muggle mythology.

"What are you all staring at? Hurry up and cast a combined Shield Charm!"

While George single-handedly held off the lightning barrage, he noticed Amy, Lina, and the other Aurors gaping at him in shock. Annoyed, he shouted a reminder.

These lightning strikes were no joke—even his Three Pillar Gods barrier wouldn't last long.

Snapped back to reality, Amy and the others sprang into action, raising their wands in unison.

"Protego Maxima! Fianto Duri! Repello Inimicum!"

The combined magic of all the Aurors converged into an enormous protective shield in the sky, replacing George's barrier and deflecting the lightning.

Meanwhile, One-Eye, realizing things had taken a bad turn the moment George cast Three Pillar Gods, immediately began retreating toward the exit at the center of the magical street while maintaining his storm.

If he could just reach the stone archway leading to the Muggle streets, he could Apparate away—no Auror would be able to track him.

"You think you can escape, old man?"

Seeing the Aurors had the lightning under control, George dispelled his barrier, replaced it with a Shield Charm, and flapped his wings, speeding after One-Eye.

Originally, he had wanted to extract clues about ancient magic from One-Eye. But now that the dark wizard had demonstrated such a powerful ancient spell, letting him escape was out of the question.

However, George didn't chase too aggressively. Instead, he allowed One-Eye to put some distance between them, ensuring they were out of the Aurors' line of sight before accelerating and cutting him off.

"You little brat… You've got a death wish!"

Seeing George block his path, One-Eye abandoned the lightning storm and immediately fired a Killing Curse.

"Avada Kedavra!"

A green bolt of magic shot toward George at terrifying speed.

"Damn, his casting speed is insane!"

George barely managed to twist midair, narrowly dodging the curse before landing on the ground.

Compared to the other dark wizards, One-Eye was on a completely different level. His Avada Kedavra had been executed with flawless timing and precision—George had almost been caught off guard.

"Avada Kedavra!"

The moment George touched down, a second Killing Curse followed.

But now that he was on solid ground, his movements were far more agile. He easily sidestepped the attack while charging forward, countering with his own spell.

"Expelliarmus!"

A red beam shot toward One-Eye, but the dark wizard flicked his wand, effortlessly deflecting it before retaliating.

"Impedimenta!"

An invisible force suddenly weighed down on George, drastically slowing his movements—One-Eye had hit him with an Impediment Jinx.

In terms of mastery over standard wizarding spells, George—despite being a first-year—was already on par with an average Auror. But against a top-tier dark wizard like One-Eye, he was still outmatched.

Fortunately, George's arsenal wasn't limited to conventional magic.

"Sectumsempra!"

With a slash of his wand, an invisible blade of magic shot forth. Simultaneously, eight razor-sharp blades streaked toward One-Eye from all directions.

"To have such skill at your age… Impressive. But you're still green."

Seeing George control the blades with what he assumed was a Locomotor charm, One-Eye smirked and cast a Freezing Charm.

"Immobulus!"

A surge of magic erupted, forcibly halting the eight blades midair.

But while the blades froze, the Sectumsempra curse did not.

The invisible slashing spell cleanly severed half of One-Eye's right wrist—the one holding his wand.

To prevent any potential wandless magic, George activated another spell.

"Light Array!"

A luminous magic circle materialized above One-Eye, firing beams of light that hammered the dark wizard into the ground.

By the time George reached him, One-Eye was already sprawled on the pavement.

"Legilimens!"

Combining his psychic abilities with the Legilimency spell, George invaded One-Eye's memories.

"Found it."

He quickly located what he was searching for.

"Stupefy!"

A Stunning Spell rendered One-Eye unconscious. George then rummaged through his robes and pulled out a tattered, diary-sized spellbook titled:

*"Incantations to Summon Heaven's Thunder."*

It was the ancient lightning magic One-Eye had used earlier, excavated two years ago from a third-century wizard's tomb.

"Geminio!"

With a flick of his wand, George duplicated the book perfectly. Tucking the copy into his Wardrobe Magic space, he slipped the original back into One-Eye's robes.

The Doubling Charm was one of the spells he'd recently learned from Amy. It could replicate non-magical objects flawlessly—though the copies would eventually vanish once their magic dissipated, and experienced wizards could detect the difference.

"George! George!"

Just as he finished, Amy, Lina, and the Aurors arrived.

The moment the lightning stopped, they had rushed over, fearing George might have been killed in a duel against One-Eye—a dark wizard infamous even on the international stage.

"Episkey!"

Worried the Sectumsempra wound might prove fatal, George was healing One-Eye with a counter-spell when the group arrived. Calmly, he turned and said:

"Don't worry, I didn't kill him. He's just unconscious."

*"We weren't worried about him—we were worried about you!"*

Amy and the French Ministry Aurors stared at the scene before them, utterly speechless.

They knew George was strong—his lightning-fast rescue of the hostages and his solo defense against the storm had proven that.

But seeing him defeat One-Eye, a globally wanted dark wizard, in a one-on-one duel? That was beyond comprehension.

Especially since George… was just a boy. A small, eleven-year-old boy.
