Reading the Believer Management System, Oberon was stunned by Osirs' skills.
First, there was the Blessing of Absolute Light, which he himself had granted. That much was expected.
But the other skills? They were beyond anything he could've imagined.
The second skill, Sword Path Instinct, left him speechless. It was something he would've only read about in fantasy novels. The ability to instinctively grasp the way of the sword? It sounded too good to be true.
And then there was the third skill.
Although Mana Detection didn't sound particularly impressive, Oberon realized how extraordinary it truly was. As a Newborn God, he could instinctively sense all mana around him—that was natural. But for a mortal to possess the same ability?
That was something only the most powerful warriors or mages could dream of achieving. Yet, Osirs had it. And not just as some hidden potential, but as an actual skill.
"What kind of talent does this kid even have…?" Oberon muttered, his eyes locked on the screen.
He couldn't believe the sheer potential of his first believer. The more he read, the more excited he became.
But then, he snapped back to reality. The Blessing of Absolute Light was nearly finished, its golden glow wrapping around Osirs like a cocoon.
Oberon watched as the blessing settled within the young man, embedding itself into his soul. Osirs' body seemed to glow for a brief moment, as if he had been reborn.
Satisfied, Oberon waved his hand, allowing Osirs to return to the real world.
The young man's figure faded from his God Domain, leaving Oberon once again alone in the endless field of green grass and darkness.
"Haaa, so much to handle... Being a god is truly something more difficult than I thought."
Oberon sighed, his voice echoing softly in the empty darkness of his God Domain. As he lay on the grass, he began to reflect on how carelessly he had approached Osirs.
By sheer luck and thanks to the innate affinity mortals feel toward gods,he had managed to gain his first believer. But in hindsight, his pitch about flying and cutting mountains was laughably amateurish.
If Osirs hadn't been naturally drawn to him as a deity, his attempt would've probably failed.
"I really need to work on my art of words… and choose them more wisely to manipu...I mean, invite other beings to become my believers." Oberon corrected himself with a sly grin.
Stretching his arms, he lay down on the grass field and looked up at the newly formed star high in the starless night sky.
"So… every believer I have, as long as they're alive, becomes a star in my Domain. And each star slowly gives me faith, which the Godly System then transforms into Faith Points."
The idea seemed simple enough. But then, his thoughts hit a wall.
"But… what exactly is faith?" he wondered aloud, his brows furrowing.
He didn't understand it. Not really.
"All my life on Earth, I wasn't a faithful person. I never believed in any god known to man, ancient or modern. Honestly… I'd probably even call myself a blasphemer."
A bitter chuckle escaped his lips.
"Yeah… I said it often enough, didn't I? That all gods were just lazy beings who don't actually care about us. Just sitting on their heavenly thrones, doing nothing while mortals suffer."
He paused, the irony settling in.
And then, laughter erupted from him. Loud, unrestrained, echoing through the emptiness of his Domain.
"Hahahahaha! So what if I was a blasphemer in the past? Now I'm a god, aren't I?"
The absurdity of it all amused him to no end.
"If I was a blasphemer… then to gain faith must mean making someone trust me, right?"
He grinned, his eyes gleaming with a newfound excitement. His thoughts drifted back to his time on Earth, to the web novels he read and the stories he loved.
A spark of inspiration flickered in his mind.
"Trust, huh? If I want to gather more believers… then I'll have to give them something real. Something worth following."
His smile grew wider.
"To gain faith… I just need to do the exact opposite of what those gods on Earth did, right?" Oberon's voice came out low, almost sad, followed by a hollow chuckle.
"So… I just need to be there for my believers. Stand side by side with them. That's all it takes?"
He glanced up at the lone star shining in the dark, empty sky. Then, he lay back down on the green grass, his eyes clouded with a complicated mix of emotions.
"Maybe… maybe if some god, being, or someone was there for me… maybe my life would've taken a better turn."
Silence.
The space grew still. Quiet.
Oberon's eyes felt heavy. His jaw clenched. His thoughts tangled and twisted with emotions he couldn't quite understand.
But after a few long minutes, he finally regained his composure. A faint smile tugged at his lips.
"So what? Life goes on. Better to focus on the future than cling to the dead past."
He chuckled softly and waved his arm.
A status window appeared before him, glowing with faint golden and black light.
Through the screen, Oberon saw Osirs standing alone, looking confused and glancing around with a puzzled expression.
"Well then…" Oberon grinned, his mood lifting. "Let's see how my first believer is doing."
"What was that?" Osirs muttered, eyes wide with confusion.
Watching from his God Domain, Oberon chuckled softly and sent a message to his first believer.
High above the small peak near his village, Osirs saw a familiar black and yellow screen appear before him. He remembered what it was and quickly read the glowing text.
[The God of Light is chuckling at your confusion and is amused by it!]
"So… this wasn't a dream?" he said, his voice trembling with disbelief.
Before he could process it, another message appeared.
[The God of Light says this is not a dream, but reality!]
"Reality? How absurd…" Osirs thought, but he kept his thoughts to himself.
The strange phenomenon had left him speechless. His mind raced with a thousand questions. But before he could even ask one, another message appeared.
[The God of Light recommends you say the words, 'Status,' out loud.]
"Status?" Osirs repeated hesitantly.
The moment the word left his lips, another black-and-yellow screen materialized before him. But this time, it was far more detailed than the simple messages he had seen before.
[The God of Light is chuckling at your Confusion and is amused by it!]
"So this wasnt a dream?"he said out in shock, but soon a second message appeared.
[The God of Light is saying that this wasnt a dream but reality!]
"reality? How absurd!"Osirs though, but didnt said this out loud and just became silent, but then another message come to him from this god of light.
[the god of light recommendeds you to say out loud "Status"!]
"status?"Osirs muttered and then a second black yellow glass came but there was much more than the message he read before of the god of light.

"What… is this?" Osirs whispered, his voice trembling with awe.
His eyes scanned the information, line by line.
Confusion turned to shock.
Shock turned to disbelief.
And disbelief slowly transformed into excitement.
"Is… Is all of this about me? Is everything written here… the truth?"
He couldn't believe it.
He had skills? He had titles? And that blessing from the God of Light…
Everything felt like a strange, impossible dream.
But the cool breeze brushing against his skin, the warmth of the sun on his face... It all felt real.
So very real.
[The God of Light says that everything is the truth and is pleased with your progress!]
As Osirs tried to make sense of everything, Oberon, back in his God Domain, was growing increasingly frustrated.
The concept of a "god" didn't exist in this world's common sense. Osirs couldn't fully understand what it meant to be a believer or even grasp the basics of what Oberon was trying to explain.
"Damn it… How am I supposed to teach him if he doesn't even know what a god is?" Oberon muttered, pacing through his empty domain.
He opened the Godly System's Store once again, scrolling through endless lists of items and abilities.
Most of them were far too expensive for him. Faith Points were precious and Oberon was painfully aware of how poor he was.
He needed something simple. Something effective. And, most importantly… something cheap.
After what felt like ages of browsing and scrolling, he found exactly what he was looking for.
[Divine Knowledge Delivery]Description: A method for a god to send specific knowledge or information directly to a believer. This delivery can contain anything as long as it does not transcend the mortal boundary.Price: 10 Faith Points
"Divine Knowledge Delivery! That's perfect!" Oberon's eyes lit up with excitement as he read the description.
As he pondered what the "mortal boundary" even meant, a bit of understanding came to him.
The mortal boundary was the limit separating mortals from the divine. It was the barrier between spirituality and mortality.
A line that couldn't be casually crossed.
No higher being, not even gods, could freely pass down their divine knowledge or power to mortals without restriction. To do so would require an immense amount of Faith Points.
If Oberon were rich, he could have simply granted Osirs perfect knowledge of mana, gods, and the world itself. But he wasn't. He was just a poor Newborn God.
However, this Divine Knowledge Delivery skill didn't seem to violate those rules completely. It existed in some sort of "gray zone."
As long as the information remained within the limits of a mortal's understanding, it could be delivered safely.
A smile crept onto Oberon's face.
"Perfect. This will do."
With that thought, he activated the Divine Knowledge Delivery and sent it to Osirs.
[The God of Light has sent you a delivery. Do you want to open it? YES / NO]
Osirs saw the strange message floating before him and, without hesitation, clicked YES.
The moment he did, knowledge flooded into his mind.
He suddenly understood everything about the system. What it meant to be a believer. And even, to some extent, what Oberon truly was to him.
His eyes widened, then sparkled with newfound clarity. His gaze looked enlightened, shining with a clear sense of understanding.
"So… it's like that." He spoke softly, a smile forming on his lips before he let out a small, amused chuckle.
"I must thank the God of Light for giving me this opportunity to rise in this world, shouldn't I?"
As if in response, another message appeared before him.
[The God of Light says that he is already excited for your journey and hopes to be of great help!]
Osirs's smile widened. That was all he needed to hear.
With renewed determination and gratitude, he turned away from the small mountain peak and began his walk back toward his village, the Averze Village.
