Chapter 72 - 72

With permission granted, Kara propelled herself forward at high speed, using her magical power as reinforcement for her legs, combined with Soru.

Even the Yonkou commanders barely had time to react before she had already passed them, appearing in front of her father with a wide smile, full of destructive excitement.

Kara said nothing. Her expression, drenched in pure combat intent, spoke for itself under Whitebeard's intense gaze.

Before their fists collided, both launched a clean, straightforward punch"no tricks, no Haki, no abilities"just pure strength. The impact echoed across all of Marineford.

"You're way too green to face me, brat! "roared Whitebeard, lifting one of his legs to kick Kara in the stomach.

She responded immediately. This time, both attacks were imbued with Haki, causing the ground beneath them to completely shatter.

The blow sent Kara flying several meters back, but she recovered in the air, propelling herself once more toward Whitebeard with a punch wrapped in Haki, magic, and her special ability.

Whitebeard also threw his punch, this time with the power of the Gura Gura no Mi and Conqueror's Haki. The clash sparked black lightning everywhere.

Their fists, mere inches from touching, seemed frozen in time. Everything around them trembled and crumbled under the pressure.

"That's not Conqueror's Haki "spat Whitebeard with disdain". It's just an imitation.

"Hahaha! I don't need it to take you on, old man "Kara replied with a wild grin, slamming her other hand into the ground. It fractured into blocks, making Whitebeard lose his balance for an instant.

Kara took the chance and aimed a punch directly at the Yonkou's stomach. Whitebeard hardened his torso with Haki and took the hit. Kara's Crash technique left grid-like marks on his body, but it didn't stop him.

The Yonkou counterattacked with another punch charged with power. Kara crossed her arm to defend herself but was sent flying again.

She spun mid-air, stabilized herself, and used Sky Walk to land with agility. Still thrilled by the battle, she looked at her arm, which trembled slightly. Even with Haki, the impact from the Gura Gura no Mi was damaging her bones.

"The last time I felt like this was when my mom thought my dad had cheated on her and sent me to hunt him down all over the Kingdom of Fiore… we ended up destroying three towns and a city "she commented, laughing as she hurled herself at Whitebeard again, not caring that he was one of the four most powerful pirates in the world". Grandpa nearly had a heart attack "she added fondly.

It was something she had learned from her guild. As much as she hated to admit it, she loved chaos, fights, and fun.

Meanwhile, the commanders who tried to intervene were quickly intercepted by the Shichibukai and the admirals.

"Oho… We can't allow them to interrupt our little destroyer "said Kizaru, appearing in front of several of them with a smile as his fingers lit up with light.

Elsewhere, Ace was still facing off against Marco, who was trying to advance to help his brothers and father. But he had to stop the electric coins destroying everything in their path. If he didn't, his brothers would be hurt. Each coin had different materials, which made each destructive flash stronger or weaker. That's why he was struggling more than expected.

"You're a nuisance! Get out of the way! "shouted Marco, launching a blue flame at Ace.

Ace dodged with electric speed, laughing mockingly.

"Hey, hey… my big sis is having fun. If you bother her, she'll come after me later "he said, joining his hands and gathering lightning". One million volts!

"Come on, old man! Use all your strength! "shouted Kara, reappearing in front of Whitebeard.

"You're like an annoying fly! "growled the Yonkou, this time swinging his naginata with brutal speed.

The blade appeared before Kara could react. Her eyes widened in surprise… and she was split in two.

The slash continued, even hitting nearby Marines, leaving many injured or dead.

"Kara! "Boa Hancock screamed in panic as she struck the pirates blocking her way.

Zoro, covered in the blood of his enemies and his own, tried to push forward, but more enemy pirates kept attacking relentlessly.

Uta and Chopper covered their mouths in horror. Sengoku furrowed his brows in fury. Aokiji froze the pirates around him and rushed toward Kara"maybe he still had time to do something.

And then the unexpected happened.

Kara's two halves exploded into magical smoke… and turned into hundreds of tiny Kara dolls that scattered across the battlefield.

Everyone stood silent, watching.

"…It was the old man who cut us… ATTACK! "yelled one of the mini-Karas, pointing at Whitebeard.

Immediately, all the mini-Karas leapt toward the Yonkou. Just as he was about to repel them with a seismic strike, the dolls began glowing and quickly fused together, recreating the original Kara.

With a mocking and excited grin, Kara attacked with a strike at the maximum of her magical power, Haki, and her magic crash.

Even Whitebeard barely managed to dodge by moving to the side, sensing the danger. Still, his shoulder was hit. For the first time, the Yonkou was truly wounded.

Chunks of flesh and blood flew into the air. The Yonkou's arm lost half its shoulder, and blood quickly drenched it.

Kara's magical attack continued behind him, obliterating pirate ships and marine vessels in the distance"showcasing the full might she put into that strike.

Luckily, no one was in that area… or it would have been a complete massacre.

Howling in pain and rage, Whitebeard channeled all his power into the fist of his remaining arm. A roar echoed through the air as he launched it straight into Kara's stomach, hitting her dead on.

The blow was brutal. The vice admiral was sent flying like a projectile at full speed, crashing through Marineford's buildings that crumbled like sandcastles upon impact.

From the rubble, Kara emerged staggering. Her body dripped with blood, her uniform torn and blackened by smoke and dust. She took a few shaky steps before dropping to her knees, clutching her wounded abdomen tightly.

And even then… her eyes burned with excitement.

The onlookers stared in shock. Kara, a Vice Admiral, had not only survived Whitebeard's colossal punch, but had also managed to wound him"one of his arms was now useless.

"Come on… get up," she muttered through gritted teeth. She tried to stand, but her body, betrayed by pain and exhaustion, forced her to collapse again.

"Damn it… I've got little magic left, barely any Haki… and my body's a mess," she growled in frustration.

Chopper and Uta came running to her side.

"Kara, lie down immediately! I need to examine you!" Chopper exclaimed, already pressing key points on her body for a quick diagnosis.

"I'm fine… I just need to recover some energy and I'll be back," Kara said with a forced golden smile, hiding her pain.

"Fine?! You have several broken bones! And that's just from a basic checkup!" Chopper replied, frowning as he tried to get her to lie down.

"I've been worse… We need to beat that pirate before the old man""

But she couldn't finish. A body crashed beside her, tearing down another part of the wall. It was Garp, covered in blood, coughing heavily.

"Grandpa!" Kara cried out in distress.

"I'm fine… I just got distracted for a second watching you get crushed," Garp said with a forced smile, spitting out blood.

While fighting Kaido, he had lost focus upon seeing Kara struck, giving the Yonko the perfect opportunity for a surprise attack.

All eyes turned to the new chaos: Kaido and his crew had just landed, with the bounty hunter guild close behind them.

It seemed they had prioritized reaching land over continuing the sea battle.

"Hahahahaha! Looks like the party's not over yet," Kaido laughed thunderously, eyes gleaming with bloodlust.

Sengoku gritted his teeth.

"Damn it… now we have to fight two Yonko and their crews," he growled, knowing that even with the bounty hunters helping to surround the pirates, it was a nearly lost war. Many of his men would die.

Kaido's pirates advanced, many grotesquely transformed into animal hybrids: some had giraffe heads emerging from their torsos, others lion jaws in their stomachs. All wore feral grins.

"What are you doing here, Kaido?" Whitebeard asked as his commanders regrouped at his side. Marco, barely holding on, moved away from Ace and quickly stopped the bleeding from his arm.

"Is that how you treat an old friend? I came to have fun… and strike a few shady deals," Kaido replied with an arrogant smile.

"I don't care what you're doing. I came to rescue my son. Nothing more," Whitebeard stated firmly.

"Fine. Then I'll lend a hand… for old time's sake," Kaido said, unleashing his Conqueror's Haki, which swept across the island like an invisible storm. Whitebeard didn't reply, but his own Haki roared in answer.

Sengoku knew the battle was lost. Whitebeard was old… and Kara's damage had made him more vulnerable. But Kaido… adding Kaido was another story entirely.

Meanwhile, on a ship not far from Marineford, a group of men in uniforms similar to the Marines', but with the symbol of the World Government, observed through screens and binoculars.

"Sir, Kaido has landed on the island," one of them reported.

The leader, calmly peeling a mandarin, smiled.

"Let me know when half the Marines are dead. Then we'll step in to 'save the day.' With Kaido's help, we'll kill Whitebeard. Then, we'll negotiate with him as planned… Though I didn't expect him to take part in such a grotesque spectacle," he said, eating the peel and tossing the fruit's inside into the sea.

"It's all for the formulas Vegapunk discovered. Though that idiot refused to continue, Kaido is willing to negotiate for the incomplete information," another added.

"Pirates are fools. And the Marines… will soon be history. Thanks to us… the new 'Admirals of Justice,'" said a woman hanging upside down from a mast, laughing gracefully.

"Sir! A Sea King is approaching at high speed!" a subordinate shouted.

"Bah, just keep it away. Don't bother me with nonsense," the leader snapped.

"Sigh… My father's going to kill me if he finds out. I just hope I survive," Kara whispered in turmoil. Then she stood up, ignoring Chopper's attempts to hold her back. She knew if the war continued like this, many of her comrades would die.

Something she could not allow. After all, even if most of them were idiots… they were the friends she had made in this world.

She crossed her arms, breathing slowly as what little magic power she had left gathered within her.

"With this, I can only take down the common pirates. The Yonko and their commanders… they're your problem now," Kara said firmly. At the very least, she could save the lives of the regular marines"men with families waiting for them.

Garp didn't understand what she meant, but instinct told him he had to stop her.

"Fairy…" Kara whispered.

At that moment, everyone felt it"the crushing pressure of a power that surpassed even the Conqueror's Haki. All eyes turned to her, including the Yonko and the Admirals, sensing she was the cause.

But Kara was looking elsewhere, her face bathed in surprise and a hint of crazed joy.

That power wasn't hers.

A thunderous crash shook the island. Everyone turned to look.

The great ice wall surrounding Marineford shattered into thousands of cubes. The inner walls. The buildings. Everything began to collapse, clearing a path for a single person.

And from within the destruction, a red-haired man in a black coat walked with calm determination. His gaze burned with contained fire.

"Sorry to interrupt," he said as the world trembled with his presence. "But I felt one of my daughters was about to do something very stupid. One of the few things I ever forbade her."

And everyone felt it"that chill down the spine. That primal instinct that screamed: run or die.

An aura like that of a Yonko… but different. More unstable. More devastating. It was the embodiment of destruction.

The true nightmare had just arrived on the scene.

The loving father"Gildarts Clive.
