A large bed, elegant furniture, and a private bathroom. Finally, civilization.
Umbra, still in his shadow form, slithered onto the bed. "Soft."
Lucien smirked. "You like it?"
Umbra shifted into his small beast form—a shadowy panther cub with glowing silver eyes—and immediately curled up in the center of the bed. "I claim this territory."
System: [Congratulations, Lucien. You have now been demoted to the floor.]
Lucien sighed. His own bed, stolen by his own contracted beast.
"Fine, fine. Sleep there. But if you drool, I'm kicking you off."
Umbra purred. "No promises."

As he walked through the academy's corridors, he spotted a familiar face ahead. Aeris Valebrand,one of the strongest in their year, was heading in the same direction.
Lucien casually greeted, "Morning."
Aries turned to him, surprised for a moment before nodding. "Good morning, Lucien. And… congratulations. You actually made it to Class S."
Lucien smirked. "Surprised?"
Aries crossed her arms. "A little. You were weaker than me when we last sparred." Then, with a confident grin, she added, "We're restarting our sparring sessions today."
Lucien felt his muscles ache just thinking about it.
System: [RIP, Lucien. Cause of death: Aries' combat training.]
Still, he just shrugged. "Fine by me. Just don't cry when I win."
Aries raised an eyebrow but smirked. "We'll see about that."
And with that, they continued toward Class S.
