Chapter 18 - Get off my phone

Mason's frown deepened. Where was Julian? He tried calling Julian's phone again, but it still went straight to voicemail.

Vivian, Mason's wife, noticed his concern and placed a gentle hand on his arm. "Honey, is everything alright?"

Mason sighed, his eyes scanning the room once more. "I'm trying to reach Julian. Isn't he supposed to be here already with Sophia?"

"Yes, Sophia told me she would be here with him."

Julian's car was parked in a secluded spot along the street, the back seats had been reclined for more comfort as a lady straddled him.

Natalia James, a renowned actress in Country A, had her head thrown back in ecstacy as she moved atop Julian, her nails digging in his broad back.

Her long, straight black hair fell down her back as Julian's arms wrapped around her, his hands tracing circles on her skin beneath her black dress.

The dress had slid up above Natalia's hips, revealing soft thigs. Julian's face was buried in her neck, his lips grazing her skin as they both lost themselves in the moment.

He fingers slid upward and pinched her bare nipple, increasing her moans and she tightened around him.

"M..my.. goodness! Ahh... Julian."

"Faster... Nat!"

His hand moved to her waist as he took control and guided her movements faster, Natalie matched his thrusts with same desire as they both chased for a release.

But the sudden blast of Julian's phone ringing slightly startled both Julian and Natalia, their bodies momentarily freezing as they gazed at the phone.

Julian's eyes narrowed as he glared at the screen, his expression darkening as he saw Sophia's name flashing on the caller ID. "What does she want? " he muttered, his voice laced with annoyance.

He ignored the call, his lips reconnecting with Natalia's as they resumed their intimate dance. But the phone rang again without stopping, its insistent ringing piercing the air.

This time around it was his father calling.

Julian's patience snapped. He disconnected his lips away from Natalia's, his hand slamming down on the phone as he turned it off.

The air was once again filled with their pants and moans with their bodies moving frantically in tandem as they reached climax.

"Hmm.. that was great Nat." Julian embraced her and kissed her one more time as she got down from him.

"Yeahhh... I know." She slurred. "Let's go for another..?"

"Would love to... but, fuck I gotta roll."

"Really..??" She smirked and moved her hand downward, tracing her fingers on his groin.

"Shit!" Julian tensed up again, he wanted to take her once more, but he controlled himself and pulled his shorts and trousers back up.

"We'd continue this some other time Nat."

"Whatever you say."

Natalia expertly reapplied her lipstick, touched up her makeup, and adjusted her clothes perfectly.

She picked up her handbag, slipped on her sunglasses, and turned to Julian.

"I'm leaving then."

"I'm sorry, but I won't be able to give you a ride now," Julian said, feeling a pang of regret.

Natalia's smiled. "Don't worry, my driver should be around by now. I texted him earlier."

Julian nodded, relieved. "Okay, then. See you around babe," he said, his eyes locked on Natalia's.

Before she stepped out of the car, Julian leaned in and placed a light kiss on her lips. After which she straightened her hair, then slid out of the car gracefully.

As soon as Natalia left, Julian started his car, adjusted his clothes, and began driving towards his original destination. He turned on his phone and returned Sophia's call.

Sophia's voice which was a mix of annoyance and concern came through as she picked up on the first ring. "Julian, where have you been? I've been calling you, but you weren't answering."

Julian adopted a calming tone, trying to placate her. "Calm down, Sophia. I had an emergency meeting with Mr. Sullivan Dior. I couldn't take your calls, but it's all done now. That's why I'm calling you back."

Sophia's skepticism was apparent. "Really? But you should have at least excused yourself or send me a text." she said, her voice laced with doubt.

Julian reassured her, "Yes, darling and I'm sorry. Everything is fine now. Where are you? I can come pick you up.

Julian picked Sophia up, and together they arrived at the Noir Dine, Mason, Julian's father, briefly asked about his whereabouts, but he decided to discuss it later.

Instead, Mason proudly talked about Julian's key role in their company's latest success. He praised Julian's contributions to the company's growth and expressed confidence in Julian's future leadership.

The group cheered, and Julian said a few things. Sophia joined in, praising Julian and their future together, including their unborn child. She basked in the attention, playing the role of a kind and gentle partner.

Christian's phone buzzed in his pocket as he headed to the kitchen to get some fruits. He had just showered, and his hair was still a little damp. He wore simple clothesand slippers.

He picked up the call, glancing at the unknown number flashing on his screen. "Hello?"

"Hello, sir. We found him," the voice on the other end said.

Christian's expression turned serious. "Perfect!Have Rezo handle it for now, I'm not available at the moment. So don't disturb me, dude. I'm spending time with my wife for now."

"But you said.. wait wha-"

The person on the phone wanted to speak, but Christian cut him off. "Please, only urgent calls. And don't forget the preparations I asked you guys to make. I want it to be perfect. My wife has been working hard to prepare great gifts for my parents, so I want to return the favor." He smirked.

Christian continued, "Tell Max to hurry up and send the gifts over to my good in-laws after you're done. And, by the way, take the weekend off or something and go find Samantha. I'm sure she loves you, but you're too busy to notice. Get her number from Jerry, he's got every woman's number in his phone!" Christian chuckled. "Now, get off my phone, please!"

He hung up and proceeded to get a bowl of fruits.

The person he just spoke to stood there, phone still in hand, with an incredulous expression. He double-checked the number to ensure he had called the right person. Yes, it was definitely his boss Chris.

"What the...?" he muttered to himself, trying to process the conversation. Had his usually stoic and serious boss, just told him to go find Samantha because she loved him?

He couldn't believe his boss had picked up on Samantha's feelings. She was indeed a colleague, and a flirtatious one at that. He had always kept their interactions strictly professional, despite her obvious attempts to get closer.

As a member of the intel team, they had to work together, but he had never had anything other than necessary to do with her and doesn't plan to.

He was surprised how his boss had noticed, considering he usually seemed oblivious to office dynamics.

And what was that about spending time with his wife??!!

He had just been given a cryptic order to handle a situation, so he moved to inform Rezo about their boss's orders.

But just as he turned to the right, he spotted Samantha walking towards him. Her eyes sparkled with a familiar annoying glint.

Before she could notice him, he swiftly turned around and took a different route, dodging her altogether. He didn't want to deal with her right now, especially after Christian's unexpected comment.

Christian walked into Remy's workspace, carrying the plate of freshly cut fruits and a knife laid on top.

Remy sensing someone's presence looked up from her sketchbook, her eyes locking onto Christian's.

A bright smile spread across her face, "Hey," she said, her voice warm and inviting. "Don't just stand around the door come in."
