Of the six Cultivation Manuals apart from the last which had no description, each of them promised powerful abilities.
He didn't bother about the sixth as it was clear the system had no information on it.
And also Seth noticed the term domain was stated within the five descriptions.
Curious about this he asked 'System do you have any information on domains?'
[ Replying to the host, within the recent ordeal the information scanned by me wasn't only cultivation manuals and martial arts techniques, through scanning the whole keeper's manor I was also able to gain a vast amount of information. So yes I do.]
Seth's eyes lit up with joy the system is almighty indeed.
'Then what are domains?' Seth questioned.
[ A domain is a personal space in which the creator is a godlike being within. Domains can only be acquired by creatures that have transcended mortality ]
Seth shivered he was once more reminded of how close he was to death at the end of his ordeal.
Shaking his head and banishing all unnecessary thoughts, he went right back to decision-making.
Minutes passed…
"Arggh! It's so hard to choose, they are all so good…." Seth exclaimed torn between these choices.
'if go on like this I would be stuck here for God knows how long.' Steeling himself he closed his eyes and ordered. "System shuffle them."
Due to the allure that the five arts brought Seth was unable to decide which to choose so he decided to choose randomly.
The system did as ordered and Seth stretched his hands and picked randomly, his arms were about to land on the Divine Shadow body art, when…
It quickly swapped places with the heavenly formless demon scripture, it was obvious the system had interfered with his choice as for why….. well that's a story for later, but right now Seth was non wiser as he had his eyes closed when this occurred.
His brain was jolted with the rapid influx of information, under his eyelids his eyes rolled to the back of his head, and his body went limp as he fell downwards, this went on for a few seconds.
But to Seth hours had passed as his mortal brain spent time sorting through the information it was given.
When his eyes opened, they radiated a fierce crimson hue as though reacting to the manual, but this little phenomenon escaped Seth's notice.
'Huh? Is my luck really so bad?' Seth wondered 'I was hoping for the myriad Elemental diagram or the divine shadow Body.' Shaking himself in a self-depreciative manner he accepted his fate.
Right now the entire information of the manuals was etched in his mind as though he always knew it he just had to think of it and recall the information.
It turned out cultivation wasn't as complicated as Seth assumed.
There were two paths in the cultivation world and they were cultivating the yang Qi or cultivating the Yin Qi. This was precisely what divided the cultivation world into two paths the righteous faction the yang Qi users and the demonic faction the yin Qi users.
Qi is the essence of all life, all living creatures contain Qi, but the difference between the two Qi was that creatures most of the time in general only had Yang Qi this was the same for all forms of life including trees.
And the only way to get Yin Qi was to either be born with it or by killing. Yes, the only other way yin Qi could be acquired was through death and slaughter.
So due to the ferocious nature of yin Qi, it was common for Yin Qi practitioners to become be-deviled and ferocious by nature, this was what made practicing yin Qi forbidden.
But regardless still people still followed this path as it promised a quick rise in power.
Luckily for Seth, although the art he was cultivating had the name demon in it, it wasn't a Yin Qi manual but neither was it a Yang Qi manual.
The heavenly formless demon scripture was one of the few arts that allowed one to transform his Yang Qi into a variant Qi called Phantom Qi. Just like the others it seemed only pinnacle cultivation arts have the unique ability of forming a variant Qi that was neither Yin or Yang.
Excited at this prospect Seth assumed a meditative posture he then continued to delve further…
The first requirement to cultivate was to awaken the mind's eye, this was easy for Seth from the description it seemed the mind's eyes were what was called the sixth sense by the present generation, and when he awakened as an irregular he had already acquired the sixth sense.
Focusing on his sixth sense this time he didn't use his soul essence as a guide, he just used his mortal perception. In other to sense his Qi he couldn't use his soul essence as Qi was the exact opposite of soul energy so they can't interfere with each other.
And that was where his first problem lay using his sixth sense without soul essence as a guide was just like fumbling around in a foreign building wearing a blindfold. But though it was a grueling task Seth persisted.
And finally, after a few hours of meditation, he finally sensed his Qi.
It was as though he was looking at a burning flame that encased his entire figure it was burning with a blood-red hue.
According to the manual, it was almost impossible to increase the amount of Qi a person has as every living being was assigned varying amounts of Qi at birth except for a few exemptions, it was impossible to add to one's innate Qi.
Then how does one cultivate you might ask it was quite simple cultivation is not about increasing the quantity, it is about increasing the quality and the density.
Once one can refine his Qi to a certain level, its quality will be such that it will be able to affect the physical world.
Coming back to Seth, he sensed his Qi was just the first phase, the second phase was about condensing it.
Right now viewing from his sixth sense Seth's figure was as though encased with a towering blood-red fire, so his next goal was to reign in control of all that flame and condense it all into his abdomen.
Well unfortunately for Seth this task was easier said than done.
I'm truth just the first phase of cultivating sensing Qi would take even a monster-level genius three days at minimum, not to even speak of the second phase. The reason Seth was so fast was because he had the advantage of being an irregular.
This was why after two hours he began to make some progress using the ancient mnemonic chants of the scripture he was able to form a small vacuum in his abdomen which was forming a pull on his Qi bringing it into his abdomen.
But at the rate at which this was going, Seth was going to be stuck here for a day at least
But thankfully the virtual library had a time-dilating feature of a ratio of 1:6.
