Chapter 48 - Chapter 47: Sweet Reunion

Champ's POV

"Executioner Soldiers?" I gasped in shock.

My body froze as I stared at the chaos unfolding before me. Dressed in blood-red, skintight suits, the soldiers marched like a wave of doom. In a brave but reckless move, the Alpha males charged straight at them—pure instinct, pure aggression.

But one by one, I watched them fall.

Their bodies crumpled to the ground, paralyzed instantly. The soldiers had strange weapons—deadly spear with a luminous plasma edge. With just a single prick, the Alphas dropped like puppets with cut strings.

"Mother, what kind of weapon is that?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"That... is a halberd from Verilios," she replied grimly. "Touch the plasma edge, and you lose control of your body. You're finished." She looked at me, her face stern. "Verilios' technology is lightyears ahead of Aurivelle's. We all need to be extremely careful."

We continued to watch in stunned silence.

As the defeated Alphas lay helpless, the soldiers strapped thick black collars around their necks—cold, metallic, and ominous.

"That collar suppresses aggression. It forces Alphas into a calm, submissive state, making them obedient," my mother explained.

"This is wrong! They're tampering with their minds!" I cried out.

And it wasn't just the other Alphas. Even Crest, who had tried to escape, stood no chance. He was captured by the executioner soldiers as well.

Suddenly, a figure in a flowing crimson red robe stepped in front of him.

No halberd. No physical force.

Crest simply fell to his knees—just like that. As if his will had been sucked out of him.

"An Omega male?" I whispered in disbelief. Until now, the only Omega male I'd ever known was my mother. But this one... he didn't look like him. His features looks more like mine, more on the masculine side.

"That's Hart," my mother said, voice low and serious. "Commander of the Executioner team. Yes, Champ—he's an Omega male. And he's not the only one."

"You mean... there's a whole civilization of Omega males who aren't gentle and loving?" Uncle Henry asked, wide-eyed.

"You're exactly right, Henry," she said grimly. "These are Omegas fueled by hatred—bent on vengeance against the Alpha bloodline that slaughtered our kind in the old days. They were once the rulers... and the Alphas stole their throne."

Just then, Hart locked the aggression collar around Crest's neck.

I looked toward Deux—he stood frozen, staring in disbelief, confusion and unease dancing in his eyes. I felt it too.

Hart finished his task, then gave a signal. The soldiers began dragging away Crest and the paralyzed Alphas, like lifeless trophies.

Where were they taking them?

Then, Hart turned. His crimson robe flowed as he began walking toward us—calm, grinning, dangerous. His eyes locked on my mother.

"Alaric," he said in a low, poisonous tone, "how lovely to see you again."

"Hart, stop this madness! This isn't justice! These Alphas had nothing to do with our past!" my mother snapped—something I'd rarely seen her do.

"Maybe not," Hart said with a twisted smile. "But their ancestors did. Their entire bloodline is soaked in sin. And that sin will be paid for—by every last Alpha born into this world."

His gaze flicked to Deux.

My heart pounded.

Hart stepped closer to Deux, circling him like a predator sizing up its prey.

"What a magnificent Alpha male," Hart murmured, almost seductively. "Strong, sculpted, painfully handsome. A perfect specimen... but not for long. Soon, your body will soften. Your muscles will fade. Your features will feminize. And not long after..." His eyes burned. "You'll be pregnant. Or if you are willing, you can be one of my collections."

Rage flared in Deux's eyes. He raised his fist to strike—but froze mid-motion. It was like an invisible force had grabbed him, holding him in place.

Without thinking, I leapt forward and stood between them.

"I won't let you touch my Alpha!" I shouted.

Hart tilted his head and sneered at me.

"An Omega male protecting an Alpha?" he taunted. "How precious. Have they poisoned your mind too, just like they did Alaric's?"

He reached out to grab me—

"Touch even a single hair on my son," my mother hissed, "and I swear, you will never return to Verilios alive."

Hart paused, lips still curled in a grin, but his hand fell back. He believed him. Or feared him. Maybe both.

"So... this is your child," Hart said darkly. "The spawn of a traitor. You're lucky Alaric is here. Otherwise, I would've killed you the moment I laid eyes on you."

"I won't let you do this," I said, my voice shaking—but firm.

And I meant every word.

In the blink of an eye—just as all our attention remained fixed on Hart—a body dropped behind me with a sickening thud.

My heart stopped. Fear gripped me. Was it Deux?

I whipped around—only to exhale in stunned relief. It wasn't Deux who had fallen—it was an Executioner Soldier.

And now, gripping the halberd that once belonged to the downed soldier, stood Deux.

His stance was powerful, unwavering, the weapon pointed directly at Hart like a deadly promise.

"A brave and strong Alpha male," Hart said, eyes glinting with wicked amusement. "It only makes me more eager to add him to my collection... so I can break him slowly."

"I will never let you change who we are!" Deux roared, every word echoing with defiance.

"Oh, really?" Hart replied, voice dripping with menace.

Then it happened. Without warning, Deux's own hand moved—slowly, unwillingly—raising the halberd and aiming the plasma edge at his own throat. My breath caught in my chest. No. No. Hart is controlling him.

"Stop this, Hart!" my mother barked, his voice cracking like thunder.

And then—racing through the trees, panting and pale—came Martin.

"Master Champ!" he cried out, nearly stumbling as he reached us. "The—the Alpha males who arrived in Veydith... they've been taken by red beings!"

His eyes widened as he took in the scene, the devastation around us.

Hart only chuckled.

"Looks like my second army was a success," he said smugly.

"What have you done, Hart?" my mother demanded, fury rising in her voice.

"We simply surrounded Aurivelle," Hart said casually, as if he were speaking of a parade and not an invasion. "A successful show of force, wouldn't you agree? But don't worry—we'll return. And next time, Nihilex will be with me. You'll finally get to see your beloved brother again."

He turned and began walking away.

I tried to follow—but the remaining Executioner Soldiers stepped into my path, halberds raised and pointed at my chest.

All I could do was watch as they vanished into the shadows, taking Crest, the captured Alphas, and all our hope with them.

We stood there, stunned, shattered, the weight of it all refusing to sink in.

"Where are they taking the Alpha males?" Martin asked, panicked. "Only Betas and Omega females remain in Veydith!"

I clenched my fists, my chest tight.

"It's begun," my mother said grimly. His eyes clouded with sorrow. "I'm sorry I never told you about Verilios... about my past. I didn't want to go back to that world. Nihilex, my brother, sent me to Aurivelle as a spy. But once I started living here, once I fell in love with this kingdom... I chose to stay. I chose a different life. I never thought the past I ran from would come clawing its way back... and threaten the future I dreamed of."

I stepped forward and took his hands.

"I'm not angry, Mother. I know you only wanted a normal life. I understand. And I know those from Verilios want justice—but they're chasing it the wrong way. We won't let this continue," I said firmly. "If you'll allow it... I want to go to Verilios. I want to confront the Omega King. Come with me. Let's face him—together."

His eyes widened with alarm.

"Champ, he's too powerful. Too cruel. You can't take him on."

"If no one stops him, then who will?" I said. "I won't allow him to twist what it means to be an Alpha—turn them into something they are not. This isn't the future I want. I won't surrender. I won't accept it. If he wants to carve out his version of the future—then I'll carve out mine. One where his vision is erased."

"Champ..." my mother whispered, his voice trembling.

"It might be dangerous for me to enter a land ruled by Omega males," Deux said, stepping forward, "but I'm going with Champ."

My mother sighed, defeated but resolute. "Then I have no choice. I will protect you both... on the road to Verilios."

"I'm sorry I can't join you," said Uncle Henry, stepping closer. "My mission is to heal King Theron."

My mother nodded in understanding, granting him her blessing.

"Uncle," I said, turning to him, "do everything you can to bring King Theron back... for Deux."

"I promise, Champ," Uncle Henry replied. "Just make me one promise in return—that we'll all see each other again."

We nodded in solemn agreement.

Uncle Henry turned and sprinted toward the Alpha King's estate.

And we—we began our return to Veydith. To warn the Omega females. To tell Kali. To prepare...

Because our next journey would take us deep into the heart of Verilios.

And there... destiny awaited.

...

...

...

When we returned to Veydith, dread hung in the air like a thick fog. Everyone left behind was gripped by fear and confusion.

"Alaric!" Kali called out as she ran toward us, breathless and panicked. "The Alpha males—they were taken! By creatures we've never seen before! There were so many of them—and they were terrifying! But... they didn't touch us. They ignored the Betas and Omega females. It was only the Alpha males they wanted..."

That was when my mother told her everything. No more lies. No more secrets. He confessed it all—his past, his bloodline, his betrayal, and the painful truth he had hidden from his best friend for so long.

Kali's brows furrowed. She inhaled deeply, as if trying to steady herself against the weight of this revelation.

"I don't know what's real anymore... With everything you said... with Voder's return... What's really happening to our world?" Kali's voice cracked as tears welled in her eyes.

But my mother embraced her tightly, wrapping his arms around the woman who had stood by his side for so many years.

"I'm sorry, Kali," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I didn't tell you because I wanted to protect you. I was afraid... afraid that if you knew who I really was, you'd see me differently."

Kali closed her eyes—and returned the hug with just as much warmth.

"Do you really think my view of you would change just because you're not from Aurivelle?" she said softly. "You're still Alaric... the same friend I've always known. Nothing will ever change that."

"Thank you... truly," my mother whispered.

He pulled away, his eyes now sharpened with resolve.

"But now... we're going back to Verilios. To face the Omega King. He's not just any enemy—he's the most dangerous one we'll ever face. And I won't allow him to create the future he wants... where Alpha males are stripped of their identities."

"I don't want that future either," Kali said, shaking her head. "I don't want to wake up one day in a world we no longer recognize. I want the world we grew up in—the one we fought to protect."

"We're leaving for Verilios now," my mother announced. "Stay vigilant. They may have captured most of the Alpha males, but they won't stop until they've taken every last one."

And so, we prepared.

Using Deux's vehicle, we followed my mother's directions toward the west side of Veydith—toward the towering mountains that loomed like guardians of a hidden realm. Between those two stone giants was the secret passageway to Verilios, sealed off from the rest of the world.

A hidden entrance appeared before us—an ancient gateway buried in the stone. My mother stepped forward, activating a scanner embedded in the rock. Beams of light swept across his body from head to toe, reading something beyond the surface—his very origin.

"This scanner checks whether you are a born Omega male," he explained. "You'll be allowed entry, Champ."

His voice trailed off.

We all waited, breath held.

Then—a low chime echoed.

The gate creaked and began to open.

A pitch-black corridor stretched out before us, like the gaping maw of some ancient beast.

The three of us exchanged glances.

A single nod was all it took.

"I'll go first," my mother said.

He stepped inside without hesitation.

I followed.

And behind me, I felt Deux's presence—silent, determined—as he entered and sealed the passage shut behind us.

The shadows of Verilios awaited.

And so did fate.

...

...

...

As we emerged from the secret passage, what greeted my eyes was a world unlike anything I had ever known.

It was a kingdom—vast and gleaming—with an ambiance so futuristic it made Aurivelle feel like a relic of the past. Towering structures of seamless glass, floating walkways, holographic signposts. And the air... it carried an alluring scent, soft and sweet, like a hypnotic perfume laced into the very wind. I realized it must be the natural aroma of the Omega males who lived here.

"Stay alert," my mother warned in a low voice. "This place is dangerous. Keep your eyes open. Don't trust the silence."

We moved quickly, slipping into the shadows of the buildings that loomed over us like silent sentinels.

There were no people in the streets. No chatter. No footsteps. Just the hum of technology and the cold neon lights glowing in windows above.

But it was too quiet.

The kind of quiet that presses into your chest.

"This silence... it's deafening," I muttered, scanning the streets, every nerve in my body on edge.

Then something caught my eye. I froze.

Posters. Giant banners plastered across walls.

My stomach turned. My breath caught.

Images—grotesque, degrading—of Alpha males shackled at the neck, kneeling like animals beneath regal-looking Omegas dressed in flowing silks and ornate crowns. The visual imbalance was jarring, disturbing. Like a twisted inversion of everything I'd known.

Beside me, Deux stared at one of the posters in grim silence.

"I had no idea a kingdom like this existed... hidden just beyond Aurivelle," he said, his voice heavy. "This kingdom... the hierarchy is reversed."

"Yes," my mother replied solemnly. "In Verilios, Omegas rule. And Alpha males... are considered the lowest of all."

He glanced up at the night sky. His eyes sharpened.

"It's time. We have to hide—now."

"Time for what?"

He pulled us toward a narrow alleyway where we squeezed into the darkness between walls.

Moments later, the stillness shattered.

The streets burst into life as Omega males and females poured out of their homes in perfect unison.

"W-What's happening?" I whispered. "Just moments ago it was dead quiet. Now they're... it looks like they're preparing for a parade."

"Obedience Ritual," my mother murmured. "It's a daily ceremony. Every Omega must present themselves to be inspected—evaluated for health, poise, and appearance. It's a show of order. Of dominance."

We stayed hidden, peering through the shadows as the ritual unfolded. Omegas lined up gracefully along the walkways. Then, a commanding figure stepped into view—a woman in an azure blue robe, her aura as sharp as a blade.

(Whip!)

"That's Elexa. Commander of the Breeder Faction," my mother whispered.

All the Omegas bowed low to her.

(Whip!)

I flinched.

The whip snapped so loudly, it pierced the air like lightning. I hadn't even noticed the figure behind her—until now.

"Is that an... Alpha male?" I asked, breath short, horrified.

He was on all fours—leashed, gagged, collared. His eyes vacant, and covered on the side with horse blinders. His body restrained in a manner I'd only ever seen in the secret footage Jiggs once showed us. But witnessing it in person? It was worse.

"That collar he's wearing suppresses aggression—makes them calm and submissive," my mother explained, her voice tight with pain. "And the device locked around his manhood—it's a chastity cage. It humiliates them, renders them useless for reproduction. To shrink it and make it limp. Their mouths are gagged too, to prevent them from scent-marking any Omegas. During these rituals, Alpha males must follow officials like dogs on a leash... it's to remind everyone of their place—of how low Alphas have fallen in this kingdom."

I exhaled shakily and shook my head.

"This... this is not justice," I said, the words burning in my throat. I looked to Deux.

He met my eyes, but only shook his head slightly.

He didn't need to say anything. I could feel it—this place made his blood boil.

Once the ritual concluded, the Omegas dispersed, and Elexa vanished from sight.

"Mother..." I asked quietly, "Is this why you left this world?"

"At first... no. I came to Aurivelle with vengeance in my heart," he confessed, his eyes distant. "I wanted to follow in Nihilex's footsteps. I wanted to punish the Alpha males who ruined the lives of so many Omegas. I believed in the mission. I believed in the cause."

His voice faltered.

"But when I was sent to Aurivelle to spy... I saw another way. A better way. I saw a world where every life—Alpha, Beta and Omega—had worth. I learned that we can coexist... without chains... without fear... without dominance."

"Then why are the Omegas here so cruel?" I asked. "I thought Omegas were supposed to be kind... softhearted."

"They were," he said. "But this kingdom... it was forged in hatred. These Omegas were raised in bitterness, taught that pain is the only justice. Over time, their hearts hardened. Mercy turned to malice. This is what vengeance without end creates—Omegas more ruthless than any Alpha."

"They're worse than the Alphas of old Aurivelle," Deux muttered darkly.

"They are," my mother agreed. "Because they know they have unmatched power here. They can bend anyone to their will—and they do."

We moved again, weaving through the back alleys until we reached a massive structure.

And then... my heart stopped.

Projected across the face of the building... was the image of my mother. A giant screen flashing red text underneath it.

"TRAITOR – EXECUTE ON SIGHT."

"Mother..." I whispered. "Jiggs was right. They're hunting you."

"They hate me," he said, his voice calm but resolute. "Because I turned my back on them. Because I chose Voder... and I chose you. And I will never regret that. No matter the cost."

His hand brushed mine gently, then tightened into a fist.

"No matter what happens, Champ... I would choose you again. Every time."

We were just about to move when I felt something sharp press into my back.

I froze.

Spinning around, my eyes widened in alarm.

Halberds. Five of them—all aimed straight at us. Five Executioner soldiers stood before us, cold and unreadable, their weapons steady, their faces masked in rigid authority.

I slowly raised my hands.

"Looks like we got a little too comfortable sightseeing," I muttered nervously, swallowing hard.

"Alaric," one of the soldiers said flatly, "you are ordered to surrender by decree of King Nihilex. You will come with us. Resist, and we'll have no choice but to drag you in chains."

Deux tensed, ready to attack—but my mother's hand shot out to stop him.

"Deux, no," he whispered, calm but firm. "We'll go with them."

"Hands up!" barked another soldier.

Three of them stepped forward to lead, while the remaining two moved behind us, their halberds never lowering.

We began to walk.

"Mother," I whispered under my breath, "why aren't we fighting back? We could take them."

"We could," he murmured. "But I'm more worried about Deux, Champ. If he gets captured—especially by a high-ranking Omega male—he won't just be in danger. He'll be targeted."

He paused, his voice dipping darker.

"Deux has a scent that's... dangerously irresistible to Omegas. He'll be hunted like a prize."

I glanced sideways at him. He walked quietly beside me, seemingly emotionless, eyes fixed ahead.

But I knew better.

Beneath the calm, he was a storm barely restrained. Rage simmered behind those eyes. I could feel it pulsing through him.

"Deux..." I whispered. "We strike when the time is right."

"I know, my love," he murmured back.

His voice was low, barely audible—but it sent a shiver down my spine.

I took a slow breath and kept walking.

Soon, we reached an enormous palace—cold, towering, and made of obsidian-like stone that reflected no light.

And that's when I saw them.

Alpha males from Aurivelle—dozens of them—lined up in chains. They were being herded, marched down another corridor, disappearing one by one into a passage I didn't recognize.

I spotted Crest among them.

But he didn't even blink.

None of them did.

Their collars gleamed under the sterile lighting—aggression suppressing, emotion-erasing. They didn't resist. They didn't speak. They didn't even look human anymore. Their eyes were blank. Hollow. Like their souls had been stolen.

I stopped in place, horrified.

But the sharp jab of a halberd prodded me forward again.

I turned my head sharply and glared at the soldier.

"Champ..." my mother warned gently.

"You're lucky my mother stopped me or I'll break your bones," I hissed through clenched teeth to the soldier, glaring at him with all the rage I could muster.

We were led further into the palace until we reached a massive hall—at the far end of it stood a grand, empty throne, ornate and eerie. I knew in my gut... this was the seat of Nihilex.

"Move," one of the soldiers barked. "They're to be taken to the holding cells."

"Affirmative."

Three of the soldiers in front us went on a separate direction, while the remaining two soldiers behind us nodded and raised their halberds again. We were herded onward like cattle.

We were forced to walk deeper into the darkness, down a narrow corridor, through winding paths carved into stone. Eventually, the light disappeared, and the air grew colder, damper... until we arrived at the mouth of a dark cavern.

"Inside!" snapped one of the soldiers. "Now!"

We hesitated.

We could fight. We should fight. But we didn't know what lay beyond that cave. For all we knew, an entire army of Executioners was waiting.

And these soldiers—these men—they carried no scent.

Not Alpha. Not Omega.

Betas, I realized. That's what they were.

"Move it! Or would you prefer we kill you here and now?" one shouted, rage lacing his voice.

"All right, already! We're going!" I snapped and ready to fight.

"Champ!" my mother hissed.

"They keep pushing!" I growled, shooting a glare back at the soldier. "We're going in! Don't get your halberd in a twist!"

With that, we stepped forward.

The cave swallowed us.

Inside, we found a sloped tunnel leading downward—deeper into the earth.

It wasn't just a prison. It felt like a lair. Like a place carved for secrets. For shadows. For the unseen.

By the time we reached the bottom, we no longer felt like prisoners on the way to a dungeon.

We felt like infiltrators entering the belly of the enemy.

And what waited for us inside...

Wasn't a cell.

It was a hideout.

...

As soon as the three of us made it to the bottom, the two Executioner soldiers followed, halberds pointed directly at us.

Deux and I were already bracing for a fight.

"Prepare yourselves," one of the soldiers sneered. "This is your end."

Then—stab!

"OW!" I yelped, more offended than injured, slapping the halberd away from my chest. "You poked me in the nipple, you pervert!"

The soldier barely had time to react before Deux snatched the halberd with one hand and stepped forward, his entire presence radiating menace.

"Face me," Deux said coldly, his voice like the calm before a storm.

The soldier tried to yank the halberd back—but it was no use. Deux was too strong, too steady.

"These guys are weaklings," I muttered, rolling my shoulders and cracking my neck. "Come on, let's brawl."

Then—suddenly—the soldier released his hand from his halberd Deux was trying to hold firmly.

"Wait! Wait! I surrender! I surrender to both of you!" he cried, yanking off his helmet.

My eyes widened in complete disbelief.

"Jiggs?!" I gasped.

"Champ!" he beamed and instantly lunged at me, hugging my legs with all the force of a missile. "I missed you so much! So, so much! Do you know what I've been through while you were gone?! I thought I was going to die!"

"Jiggs..." I said with a laugh, heart swelling with relief. "I can't believe it's really you..."

Before I could say more, the second Executioner soldier—who'd remained still—slowly lifted his helmet.

And then...

My knees nearly buckled.

Tears streamed down my cheeks.

"Champ... Alaric," came the calm, steady voice I remembered so well.

And then, in one motion, we were both swept into a warm, tight embrace.

"Voder..." my mother whispered, his voice breaking.

"Father..."

"I've missed you both so much," he said softly, wrapping us tighter.

I was so overwhelmed with joy, I almost forgot Jiggs was still hugging my legs—and now sobbing along with us.

Meanwhile, Deux stood a few steps away, smiling gently as he watched the reunion unfold.

"I never thought I'd live to see the day I'd hold you both again," Father said, pulling back and smiling at us. "This moment... it's everything."

"Alaric..." my father said, his smile trembling through the tears. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you."

"You never had to," he whispered, cupping my father's cheeks with his hands. "All I thought about, every day we were apart, was you. You gave me the strength to survive."

My father held his hands in return, eyes brimming with emotion.

And then, after all these years, they kissed—soft and sweet and utterly full of longing.

"Awwww! So sweet!" Jiggs cooed, finally standing beside me but still wrapped around my side like a very clingy scarf.

"Jiggs! Can you not?" I snapped, trying to push him off.

"I missed you so much, Champ!" he grinned. Then, turning to Deux, his eyes narrowed. "Except you, because you always bully me."

"I don't care, you annoying insect," Deux replied flatly.

I couldn't help but laugh. Even in this madness, somehow Jiggs had this uncanny ability to make everything lighter.

"Mr. Voder!" Jiggs suddenly whined, pointing dramatically. "Deux is being mean to me again!"

Father turned to Deux sharply, squinting at him like a laser sight had just locked on.

Deux straightened immediately, visibly alarmed.

"I-It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Voder," he said quickly, bowing with exaggerated respect. "A privilege to stand before a legendary Alpha such as yourself."

"This one?" Father said, ignoring Deux's words and turning to Jiggs. "This is the one who bullies you?"

"Yes! That's him!" Jiggs said proudly, as if he'd just won an argument.

"Unbelievable! You're teaming up against Deux?!" I protested.

I glanced at my mother, who just laughed softly and let the chaos unfold.

Father strode up to Deux and began circling him like a lion assessing a rival. His eyes scanned him from head to toe, calculating, scrutinizing.

"Father! Must you inspect him like a meat slab?" I asked, half-embarrassed, half-amused.

"Grrrr..." Father growled lowly, eyes narrowing.

Deux didn't flinch, simply watching Father with respectful silence.

"You thought you could just waltz in and win over my son without facing me?" Father snarled. "Think again."

"I have powerful allies now!" Jiggs declared proudly, standing beside Father like a mini sidekick. "You'll never defeat me, Deux!"

I rubbed my temples. This is chaos.

"Father," I finally interjected, "this is Deux. My mate. My Alpha."

Father's eyes widened, then—without warning—he grabbed Deux by the collar and yanked him down eye-level.

"You really thought you'd get away without a little pain first?" Father barked. "You think being his lover means you're safe from me?"

"Mother! Look what Father's doing!" I cried.

"Let him," he said, chuckling. "He's just doing what any father would. You were apart for so long... let him have his moment. And for sure, he is dying to wait for this moment to happen. To scare off any Alpha males who wants to mate you."

I sighed. Loudly.

There was no stopping this now.

It was becoming obvious—my father wanted to put Deux through the wringer. And Jiggs? Oh, he was loving this. The way he bounced in place like an overexcited squirrel told me he was ready to stir the pot just to see it boil.

"I will do everything I can, Mr. Voder," Deux said with conviction, "to earn your approval as Champ's mate. I'll prove that I am worthy."

Father frowned. His eyes narrowed. A storm brewed.

"In that case... I challenge you to a fistfight," he declared. "Winner stands, loser falls. No powers. No tricks. Just knuckles."

"If that's what will make you happy, Mr. Voder," Deux replied calmly.

"Yes! I need front-row seats to this!" Jiggs cheered, already pretending to eat popcorn.

"Mother, please!" I turned to her in desperation. "They're starting nonsense again!"

He gave us all a gentle smile, unbothered, graceful as always.

"Deux, Voder," he said sweetly. "Can we kindly put the chaos aside for now? We have far more urgent things to do."

"Understood," said both my father and Deux in unison, like obedient schoolboys caught misbehaving.

"No! We need the showdown!" Jiggs protested.

Mother merely looked at him.

Jiggs froze mid-whine.

"I—I'll shut up now," he mumbled, zipping his mouth with imaginary tape.

Thank the stars for Mother. The great chaos-tamer. He didn't even need to raise his voice. One look, and order was restored.

But then my father leaned toward Deux and whispered, "We're not finished. This hasn't even started."

"Voder..." my mother chided gently.

"I'll behave," he sighed.

So this is where I got my chaos from, I thought. It's genetic.

"By the way," I said, turning to my father, "how did we not pick up your scent when you were with us this whole time?"

"Ah!" Jiggs cut in proudly. "Because your legendary father has a secret technique! One only he can do! He can conceal his scent!"

"Really? You can do that?" I asked, eyes wide with fascination.

"It's... not that impressive," my father chuckled, "but it's been pretty useful."

"And you, Champ?" Jiggs turned to me with playful curiosity. "What's your rare ability?"

I was about to answer when a new voice echoed down the corridor.

"I caught some cattle. We can divide them up for dinner," said a deep, unfamiliar voice.

We turned.

A towering figure entered, dragging an entire dead cow like it weighed nothing. When he saw us, he froze—and dropped the carcass with a loud THUD! that rattled the floor.

"Silver..." Mother whispered.

"Ah..." he muttered, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. "Looks like I interrupted a family moment."

He started to back away.

But Mother stepped forward—and without hesitation, wrapped him in a warm embrace.

"W-Wait..." Silver stammered, his entire body stiff. "What... what are you doing?"

"Don't walk away, Silver. I'm not angry," she said softly, resting her head on his shoulder. "You're my son."

Silver blinked rapidly. Then closed his eyes.

And for the first time ever... Silver cried.

Not a sniffle. Not a dramatic sob. Just silent, trembling tears he tried desperately to suppress—until he couldn't.

"Don't think for a second I'd ever reject you," Mother whispered. "You came from me. No matter what happened... no matter what our connection is... you'll always be my child."

I stared in awe. Silver... crying? The icy, intimidating warrior I once loathed?

And yet, here he was—soft, broken, human.

It hit me then. He wasn't a monster like his father Crest. He wasn't the arrogant, distant rival I once feared.

He was... my little brother.

Yes, he was born after me, inside the Omega Secret Facility.

Sure, his personality was still rough around the edges, but he had changed. Grown. And for the first time—I saw him not as a threat, but as family.

Silver pulled away from the hug, turned his back, and quickly wiped his tears.

"Forget you saw that. Forget I got emotional," he said firmly. "Champ..."

"Yeah?"

"Now that you know the truth..." He paused, took a deep breath. "I'm sorry for everything I did to you before."

I smiled and walked up behind him—then, without warning, I hugged him from behind.

He froze.

"I forgive you," I said gently.

"Champ..." he said, stunned.

"That's big brother Champ to you," I teased. "Don't forget I'm older than you—even if your face makes you look like the ancient one."

"Oh yeah, huh? You do look older, Silver!" Jiggs chimed in like a gremlin.

"Shut it," Silver growled.

"HMPH!" Jiggs pouted, crossing his arms and pouting at both of us.

"Let me go," Silver grumbled. "I'm not used to long hugs."

"Well, get used to it," I said, grinning. "You're part of this family now. And I'll hug you whenever I want. Alpha attitude or not—you're stuck with me."

"Tch," he muttered, clearly annoyed... but not pulling away anymore.

Then Jiggs raised a hand dramatically. "Champ! Since you're so late to the party, let me enlighten you about something juicy!"

"What is it?" I asked, curious.

"Silver isn't an Alpha."

I let go instantly, spun him around, and grabbed his arms like I was inspecting a rare animal.

"Wait... You're an Omega male too?" I gasped, poking his biceps, checking his neck, squishing his cheeks.

Silver didn't fight me. And I was loving it.

He allowed me to mess with him. He allowed it!

For the first time ever, I felt like a real big brother.

"You are so not scary anymore," I chuckled. "You're like a little baby now."

"I'm not an Omega!" he shouted. "Can you not squish my face?!"

Laughing, I let him go.

"Then... what are you?" I asked.

"He's a Sigma Male," Jiggs chimed in proudly, like he just announced a celebrity's entrance.

"Sigma Male?" I tilted my head. "Never heard of it."

"It's a subclass of Alpha," Jiggs explained. "Independent. Lone wolf. They don't follow packs like traditional Alphas."

"Ohhh! That explains it!" I said, smacking Silver's arm lightly. "That's why you're always brooding and doing things solo!"

"Sigma Male..." Mother echoed softly. "That means... he's the product of an Omega male like me mating with a standard Alpha male. The result is a Sigma."

Father growled. "I still can't believe that bastard Crest got the better of you. Just wait till I find him!"

"I think karma already caught up with him," I said calmly. "He's one of the Alphas captured by the Executioners. Sooner or later, he'll taste the same cruelty he inflicted on others. Every ounce of it."

We all turned to look at Silver—who stood quietly, eyes distant.

And in that moment, I realized...

This journey had only just begun.

"Sorry, Silver. I know we're talking about your father and all but—" I started, only for Silver to cut me off with the edge of his voice.

"I already disowned him the moment I learned the truth," he said coldly. "Everything he did... I don't care if he becomes one of the gene-altered Alpha males. He deserves it."

"Still," I said, my tone growing grim, "what's happening now... it won't just affect him. There could be hundreds of Alpha males out there undergoing the same transformation. I want to help them. I don't want a future where the identity of true Alpha males is wiped from existence—where Nihilex's twisted version becomes the new normal."

"Sounds like... another mission!" Jiggs declared cheerfully, practically bouncing on his heels. "I've been waiting for this! Finally, another adventure with you, Champ!"

I couldn't help but smile, and we fist-bumped like old times.

"I've missed this, honestly," I said with a chuckle.

"But," Jiggs added, face softening, "there's someone I want to save too. An Omega male. A friend of mine. He wanted to meet you, Champ—I told him all about you."

"Oh no," I groaned. "What kind of nonsense did you tell him about me this time?"

"Nothing bad!" Jiggs said, grinning wide. "Only the good stuff, I swear. His name's Melior."

"Melior?" my mother asked suddenly, his tone shifting.

"You know him?" I blinked.

"Yes," he said, eyes full of emotion. "He was like a little brother to me. What happened, Jiggs?"

"He was caught," Jiggs said, frowning now. "Accused of betraying his position. Nihilex imprisoned him."

"What?" I gasped.

"And the one who reported him... was Kaia," Jiggs added grimly.

"Kaia? From university? She was a spy?" I nearly choked.

"Yep. Sent by Nihilex to observe us in Aurivelle. She got close to you, remember?"

"Well that explains why she was always hanging around me..." I muttered.

"But none of that matters now," Jiggs said quickly, waving it off. "We need to rescue Melior. And, uh... I kinda need him because... well, forget it! Let's just focus on saving him!"

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Need him for what, Jiggs?"

"Nothing! Nope! Not saying a word!" he said, suddenly rubbing his inner thigh and shifting uncomfortably.

I squinted.

I'd been trying not to notice it, but he'd been scratching that area for a while now.

"Ahhh..." Jiggs moaned softly as he scratched again, his eyes rolling back like he was about to ascend to another plane of existence.

"Disgusting!" I snapped. "Are you seriously scratching your groin in front of everyone?!"

"Huh?" he blinked, confused. Then I noticed something—his pants.

"Wait... did you pee yourself or something? Are your pants wet?!"

"Wha—WHAT?!" he yelped and looked down.

And then his eyes exploded wide.

He turned and bolted without another word, clutching his behind.

Silver, ever the mysterious brooder, followed without a sound.

"What the hell just happened?" I muttered, scratching my head. Then I squinted. "Is it just me... or did it look like something pearlescent was staining the seat of his pants?"

"You're not imagining it," Deux said beside me, deadly serious. "I noticed earlier. There's... fluid. Glowing white. Almost like pearl... and it's coming from his lower region."

"Could the transformation already be starting?" my father said suddenly, eyes narrowing.

"Wait, what transformation?" I asked, whirling toward him.

"It's not my place to say," he replied, folding his arms. "This is something Jiggs needs to tell you himself."

Confused and concerned, I followed the path Jiggs had taken, with Deux right behind me.

Eventually, I found them.

And when I peeked into the room... I froze.

My eyes bulged.

WHAT IN THE HOLY PEARL-FLUIDED HELL?!

Jiggs was sitting on the floor, pants around his ankles, glistening pearl liquid pooling around his thighs.

Silver was kneeling in front of him, blocking my full view, but what I could see was enough to turn my brain into a fried circuit board.

"Silver! There's so much of it! Am I dying?! Is this how I go?!" Jiggs sobbed dramatically.

Silver leaned in closer.

"I want to taste it," he murmured, eyes glowing.

"PLEASE NO! GROSS! SILVER!" Jiggs squealed, trying to cover himself with his hands.

"But the scent... it's so sweet," Silver said, started to lick the fluid from Jiggs' thighs!

I slapped a hand over my mouth, suppressing a scream.

Is this what's been happening when I wasn't around?!

Did Jiggs give in to Silver?! Or worse—was he being forced?!

Fueled by panic and pure instinct, I dashed into the room, Deux close behind me.

"JIGGS! SILVER! WHAT IS THIS?!" I cried out, pointing accusingly.

Jiggs's mouth fell open, his face flushing bright red. "C-Champ!"

"Explain this! Why are you showing your... shimmering nether private parts to Silver?!" I barked. "Is he coercing you? Are you okay?!"

Silver looked up at me, completely unbothered.

"Jiggs is a Beta. He's vulnerable. And you, Silver—are you taking advantage of him just because he can't fight back?"

"No! No! It's not what you think!" Jiggs said quickly, waving his hands like crazy. "I swear!"

"Then why were you moaning about dying while Silver was trying to LICK you?!" I demanded.

Jiggs took a deep breath, eyes trembling with fear and confusion. Then he looked up at me with the most serious expression I'd ever seen him wear.

"Champ..." he whispered. "I'm not the Jiggs you once knew."

"What are you talking about?"

He sniffled, wiped a tear from his eye... and said it.

"I... I am Mother Jiggs now."

My brain short-circuited.

"WHAT?!"

"Look at this, Champ!"

And just like that, with no warning at all, I was thrown into a scene so bizarre I couldn't even speak. My mouth opened, but no words came out.

Even Deux panicked—he reached out and covered my eyes.

"Jiggs! What the hell is that?!" I shouted, yanking Deux's hand away, only to lock eyes with the sight directly in front of me—unfiltered, high-definition, full frontal.

Jiggs, legs spread wide, was showing me something I never, ever expected to see.

"Why... why do you have a birth canal—and why is it leaking white pearl fluid?!" I gasped, eyes trembling.

"This is what I've been trying to tell you!" Jiggs yelled back, voice bordering on hysteria. "I'm not the same! I am now... Mother Jiggs!"

My brain struggled to reboot.

"HOW did this happen?" I demanded. "Don't tell me you are an Omega male now?"

"To make it short," he said—though he absolutely did not make it short, "I was helping Melior—the head of the technological faction who created the gene-altering formula for Alpha males! We were working on a special formula that doesn't change your appearance, but grants you the ability to get pregnant! It was meant for Silver—but instead, it accidentally got injected into ME! And now, the changes are kicking in! A full reproductive system is growing inside me—and now... I have a birth canal! And it's LEAKING! That's why I need Melior! I NEED him to check me! And I am not an Omega male but still a Beta!"

He ranted so fast I thought his mouth might catch fire.

"I'll clean the fluid," Silver said suddenly.

"Wait—what? Silver, don't—"

But he was already leaning in.

He spread Jiggs' thighs apart with the expertise of someone far too comfortable doing so, and with a slow, deliberate motion, licked the fluid right from the birth canal!

My soul LEFT my body.

Even Deux, unshakable Deux, was frozen in shock.

"M-MFFF! Silver—it tickles!" Jiggs whimpered, squirming as Silver continued to lap up the pearly fluid like a sommelier savoring rare wine.

I wanted to stop them. I tried to stop them. But I was paralyzed by the sheer insanity happening in front of me.

And when Silver finally pulled back, looking pleased, flushed, and glowing as if he'd just consumed a delicacy, I felt like I needed to bleach my eyes.

"Champ! Tell me!" Jiggs cried, shamelessly spreading his legs again, "Is it normal sized?! Is my birth canal okay?! LOOK AT IT!"

"PLEASE, HAVE MERCY ON MY EYES!" I cried out in horror.

"Just take a look, please! You have one too, right? Let's compare! Come on! Show me yours!"

"THIS ISN'T A TOY COLLECTION, JIGGS!" I shouted. But despite myself, I leaned in closer to inspect.

I didn't go too close, because I could still see his manhood just hanging there, and I did not want to be near that.

(Twitch!)

I flinched as the outer ring of his birth canal moved—he had muscle control!

"This is real..." I whispered. "You might actually be able to get pregnant, Jiggs."

"I know, right?! I didn't ask for expedited shipping, but boom! Delivery complete!" he said, panicking, like he'd accidentally subscribed to a pregnancy trial program and forgot to cancel before the free month ended.

But because this was serious—because we were in this madness together—I had to be there for him. As a friend. As a fellow future baby-bearer.

"Why is it leaking fluid?" he asked desperately. "Am I going to die?! Silver may have swallowed too much!"

"I'll squeeze the birth canal," Silver offered, licking his lips again.

"NO YOU WON'T!" Jiggs shrieked. "What if this is internal fluid hemorrhaging?! What if something inside me exploded?!"

"Did your canal ever leak, Champ? Be honest," he turned to me, eyes watery.

"Mine? No. I don't remember any fluid leakage when I discovered I had a birth canal," I said, raising a brow.

"Then WHY ME?! Am I broken?! Is this my curse?!"

"Do you feel any pain?" I asked gently.

"No, just... an itch earlier, and I may have scratched a bit too hard—OH GOD! Maybe I did this to myself!" he wailed.

Then, out of nowhere, Deux leaned closer and whispered to me:

"If yours ever leaks, I can clean it for you."

"YOU—NOT YOU TOO!" I barked. "You're not helping!"

Just then, my parents appeared in the doorway, confusion painted across their faces.

"What is happening here?" my mother asked calmly, as if we weren't in the middle of the strangest biological episode of our lives.

"Madam Sir Alaric! HELP ME!" Jiggs cried. "I'm leaking! I'm turning into a baby machine! I'm gonna DIE!"

Instead of helping immediately, we laughed. Loudly. But also, we really did pity him. Jiggs didn't know what was happening to his body—and neither did we.

Because truthfully, Jiggs was the first Beta in history to ever develop a birth canal. Even Beta females didn't get pregnant. Jiggs... was a legend in the making.

My mother knelt down and examined him professionally—unbothered by the full frontal experience.

"I can't say for certain what's happening, Jiggs," he said with quiet seriousness. "But my guess is that, since you're a Beta, your body is altering differently. No Beta has ever undergone this transformation before. We need Melior. He'll know."

"Then what are we waiting for?!" Jiggs cried. "Let's GO!"

"Yes, let's go," I sighed. "Because I know you won't shut up until someone tells you you're not dying."

"I agree," my mother added. "Rescuing Melior is now our top priority. He knows the inner workings of Verilios. He may be the key to our success."

And so we made a decision.

I, Jiggs, Silver, and Deux would travel to wherever Melior was being held—and bring him back.

As for my mother and father?

They had other business.

Where they were headed... even I didn't know.

...

...

...

We had arrived at a military warehouse—an enormous, cold, metallic compound that stretched across the horizon like a steel colossus. This was where Jiggs's GPS tracker said we'd find Melior.

Unfortunately... the tracker only marked a dot over the warehouse symbol, and the facility in front of us was the size of a damn city block. Not helpful.

Still, we had no choice.

We slipped inside the warehouse quietly, shadows among shadows. No alarms. No movement—yet.

Until we realized something bone-chilling.

This wasn't just any warehouse.

We had walked straight into the den of the Beta soldiers basecamp.

Rows upon rows of soldiers with different color coded uniforms, red, blue, and green, were patrolling the area, and judging from the large barracks and weapons stockpiles, this wasn't just a supply depot—this was their main base.

"Really, Jiggs?" I hissed, crouching behind a stack of massive crates. "This is where you brought us?"

"How was I supposed to know?!" Jiggs whispered back defensively. "I've never been here before!"

(Sniff!)

"I smell Alpha males," Deux said softly, eyes narrowing. "I think they're keeping the ones they captured from Aurivelle... here."

"I smell Omegas too," Silver added. "This place is crawling with high-ranks. Getting out won't be easy."

"What's the plan, Champ?" Jiggs asked, his voice thin with tension.

"We keep moving," I said. "We stay hidden, and search for Melior. We're already in enemy territory—we have to be smart."

Everyone nodded. We moved like ghosts—silent and swift.

Eventually, we reached a door.

Voices spilled from the other side. Shouting. But not screams of pain—more like... cheers. Celebration?

Jiggs found a small hole in the rusted metal wall and peeked through.

"I see a crowd of soldiers," he whispered. "They're shouting like crazy—like they're watching some event. I can't see what they're looking at, but it's intense. Also... a group of Alpha males are gathered on one side."

(Sniff!)

"There's a mix of scents behind this door," I said. "We might be able to sneak in. Jiggs can blend in wearing his Executioner uniform. I'm an Omega male no one here recognizes. As for you two..." I looked at Deux and Silver. "Just stay with us. Try not to draw attention. We still don't know what we're walking into."

With quiet nods, we slipped inside.

The moment we entered, an eruption of noise slammed into us.

A massive crowd of soldiers were packed into the room like fans at a gladiator arena. At the front row, high-ranking Omega males and females lounged like royalty, sipping something out of pearl-gilded goblets.

In the center of the stage, an Alpha male was on his knees surrounded by the other fainted Alphas—panting, covered in bruises, and blood leaking from wounds trickled down his arms and chest.

"What is this...?" I whispered.

Then—WHIP!

A sharp crack echoed through the chamber.

My skin crawled.

"Oh no. I know that sound," Jiggs hissed, trembling. "That's Elexa! Why is she here?!"

"We saw her earlier," I said. "She looked... intense."

"She's terrifying," Jiggs muttered. "Every time she whips that thing, I swear my soul detaches. And—I'm not joking—I think I felt pearl fluid leak from my birth canal just now."

"I'll lick it for you," Silver whispered immediately.

"Hey, Champ," Deux added with his usual deadpan tone, "are you leaking too? Because if so, I'd also like to taste yours. Based on Silver's expression earlier, it seems... satisfying."

"SERIOUSLY?" I snapped, keeping my voice down. "We're in the middle of enemy territory—not a birth canal buffet! We're here to rescue Melior, remember? Let's get moving. This is the wrong room."

We were about to slip out when Elexa raised her voice again.

"And now," she said with that deadly smile, "the final quality match of the day shall begin."

WHIP!

The entire chamber fell into silence.

Then... someone stepped onto the stage.

He wore a flowing chrome-black robe—sleek, reflective, and cold. The air around him seemed to freeze.

My eyes locked onto him.

Brown hair with golden streaks. A face carved from stone—beautiful yet cold, masculine yet faintly androgynous. His presence was suffocating, like a black hole had entered the room. An Omega male, but not like the others. This one didn't smile. Didn't blink. Didn't even breathe wrong.

I felt something twist in my gut.

"...Who is that?" I asked.

"Black robe..." Jiggs whispered, his voice trembling. "Champ... CHAMP, YOU LOOK A LITTLE BIT LIKE HIM!"

"What?" I blinked.

"I'M TELLING YOU!" Jiggs gasped dramatically. "That's him! That's Nihilex! There's no doubt—look at your hair! Your face! You're practically having same features! Wait—do you think he's your real mom?!"

"Jiggs, shut up!" I hissed. "What the hell are you saying?! We came from the same bloodline, we look the same of course."

Then... Nihilex spoke.

"I now declare the next quality match... begun. All remaining Alpha males," he said in a smooth, commanding voice that cut through the noise like a blade, "step forward. Enter the arena."

And the entire room held its breath.

Including me.

And then, it began.

Like puppets with invisible strings, the Alpha males started walking—obediently, without question, without resistance—straight to the center of the stage.

It was as if Nihilex's voice had latched itself into their nervous systems and overridden their wills entirely.

And not even a second later—my heart dropped.

Silver.

Deux.

They began walking too.

"Wait! Where are you going?!" I shouted, grabbing Deux's arm.

"I don't know!" he said, eyes wide in panic. "My body—it's moving on its own!" He yanked his arm free, still walking, even as he tried to resist.

"Silver!" Jiggs called out next, voice rising. "You too?!"

"Don't ask me!" Silver growled, frustration flashing in his eyes. "I don't want to move—but my body's not listening to me!"

They kept walking... both of them... until they joined the line of Alpha males already on stage. Their expressions had dulled. Their movements, robotic. Their minds—gone.

"Oh no, Champ!" Jiggs gasped. "They're under Nihilex's control! He's that powerful—just one command and every Alpha male follows him like a mindless drone!"

Even Silver—a Sigma male—one of the rarest, most resistant types... was no exception.

"What if... what if Nihilex's unique ability is like an ultimate override?" Jiggs whispered. "One voice command, and every Alpha and Sigma male obeys him... no matter how strong-willed!"

I stared ahead, heart thudding like a war drum in my chest.

Nihilex hadn't even shown his real power yet—and already, he had taken Deux and Silver like they were nothing.

What happens if he decides to go all-out?

"Champ... what do we do now?" Jiggs asked, trembling.

I didn't have an answer.

The Alpha males were now in the center of the stage, standing eerily still like statues. Nihilex walked in front of them with that same unreadable expression—cold, regal, terrifying. He studied each Alpha one by one, eyes sharp like he was choosing meat cuts from a butcher's display.

Then he spoke, and his voice carried like a divine decree.

"For this Quality Match," he said, "the rule remains: survival of the fittest. Those who fall will become servants. The two Alpha males who remain standing after ten minutes will be sent to the Alpha Breeding Facility."

"Alpha what?" I whispered.

Jiggs leaned in, panic breaking out in his voice. "That's the Alpha version of the Omega Secret Facility—but worse! Think... think Alpha dairy farm! Except instead of milk, it's... you know—seeds of domination!"

I audibly swallowed. My knees wobbled.

But Nihilex wasn't done.

"To make today's match even more exhilarating," he added, "the final two victors will face off once more. The winner of that match will earn the right to impregnate the loser—right here, in front of everyone. You will all witness... an Alpha male being bred by another Alpha male."

WHIP!

The crowd erupted.

Cheers. Laughter. Excited shrieks. Even some Omegas in the front row fanned themselves.

"Yes! That's what I'm here for!" one of them shouted. "I've waited ages to see an Alpha male breeding another Alpha male!"

Suddenly, metallic walls began to rise around the stage—massive steel bars that clanked and locked into place, transforming the stage into a cage. A glowing, golden field sealed the top. There was no escape.

I backed away instinctively.

"No," I whispered. "No, no, no!"

Because now... it was obvious.

Only two of them—out of the countless others who now standing on the cold, metallic floor of the arena. The match hadn't even begun in full, yet the stage had already separated the strong from the weak, the chosen from the discarded.

And of course...

It had to be them.

Deux.

His figure, tall and commanding, radiated a raw, lethal calm. His fists were clenched at his sides, muscles rigid, veins bulging beneath his skin as he fought the invisible strings tugging at his mind. He wasn't himself—none of them were—but his Alpha instincts still glimmered faintly behind that blank, steely stare.

Silver.

A perfect storm of feral grace and burning restraint. His eyes flickered with defiance, but his limbs moved like a puppet, pulled by an unseen master. Each step he took was like thunder rolling in the distance—a warning of something catastrophic waiting to be unleashed.

And in this horrifying spectacle... this twisted coliseum masked as entertainment...

Only one truth hung in the air like the scent of scorched metal.

One would breed.

The other... would be impregnated.

"No..." I whispered at first, voice barely audible over the roar of the crowd. Then louder. "No!"

My heart pounded so hard it hurt. My lungs struggled for air, as if the very idea of what was about to happen was suffocating me.

"This can't be happening!" I shouted, clutching my chest, my voice breaking with a mix of dread and helpless fury.

But deep inside... I already knew.

It was too late.

Above us, a glowing crimson countdown lit up the ceiling.

00:10:00

The match had begun.

The cage was sealed.

And this was no longer a game.

This was the beginning of our worst nightmare—

A war of dominance.

Of identity.

Of fate.

And Deux and Silver, were its unwilling champions.
