Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – The Interview Invitation

The morning light filtered through the curtains of Snow's apartment as he lazily scrolled through his phone. Just as he was about to relax a little longer, a sharp knock on his door interrupted him.

"Snow, open up," Elena's voice rang from the other side.

Groaning, he shuffled to the door and pulled it open, finding his newly appointed manager standing there, arms crossed and eyes filled with determination. That look was never a good sign.

"You and your entire cast have been invited for an exclusive interview," she announced without hesitation. "It's a big deal, so get ready."

Snow blinked at her, unimpressed. "Do I have to?"

"Yes."

"Can't we just skip it?"

"No."

"What if I fake an illness?"

Elena raised an eyebrow. "Then I'll personally drag your 'sick' self out of bed and make sure you look presentable before we leave."

Snow pouted. "I hate interviews."

Elena smirked. "Hate them all you want, but you're going. No excuses."

Snow sighed dramatically, flopping onto his couch. "Why are you so relentless?"

"Because I'm your manager." She leaned against the doorframe, smirking. "And unlike you, I actually enjoy my job."

He shot her a half-hearted glare. "Are you sure you're my manager? Or are you secretly my babysitter?"

Elena didn't miss a beat. "Both, apparently."

Snow groaned again, running a hand through his messy hair. "Fine, fine. You win."

"I always do."

He squinted at her. "You really think you're superior to me, don't you?"

Elena grinned. "I don't think—I know."

Snow muttered something under his breath but couldn't help the small smirk tugging at his lips. It had barely been a few days since she became his manager, yet somehow, she had already managed to navigate around all his usual excuses and barriers. Annoying as it was, he had to admit—she was good.

"Alright, boss," he said, standing up. "Since you're so keen on dragging me there, you better make sure I look flawless."

Elena smirked. "That's the easiest part of my job."

With that, she turned on her heel and walked out, leaving Snow shaking his head in amused defeat.

Maybe having her around wouldn't be so bad after all.
