The Academy soon came into view, and they walked past it, but instead of heading straight home, Asher accompanied Emma to her apartment.
It wasn't far from his own, just three apartments away, and the elevator was working fine, although it was slow.
On arrival, Asher spotted a brown-haired man with blue eyes, exactly like Emma, he wore a waist coat with a white shirt inside and washed denim jeans.
He was standing by the balcony, while his gaze was fixed on his watch until he noticed them.
"Ah! You must be Asher," he said warmly, motioning for him to go inside. "It's been so long. How is your mother doing?"
"She's doing fine, sir," Asher replied with a smile and shifted his gaze to the man's wristwatch.
"Stay for lunch. We're having noodles and chicken."
Asher hesitated briefly. He considered the food but then realized he didn't remember much about Emma's father. Eventually, he nodded.
