Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Hunt Begins

A Silent Stalker

The couple Hyejin had watched during dinner left the restaurant shortly after her and Seo Jun. She followed them at a distance, her footsteps light and deliberate. Her face was composed, giving no hint of the dark thoughts swirling in her mind.

Standing near a lamppost, Hyejin pretended to wait for a taxi, her posture casual. The couple walked past her, the girl clinging to the boy's arm as if trying to avoid angering him. Hyejin's ears sharpened to catch their conversation.

"I told you not to bring that up again," the boy snapped in a low voice.

"I-I wasn't trying to upset you," the girl stammered, her eyes darting nervously.

"Then stop being so damn sensitive," he hissed.

Hyejin's lips curled into a faint smirk. Such fragile love wrapped in control and fear.

Her eyes followed them like a predator studying its prey, calculating their every move. She remained still, blending into the background, until something in the reflection of a nearby car's rearview mirror caught her attention.

Seo Jun.

He was standing at a distance, leaning against a pole, his eyes fixed on her. He wasn't trying to hide; his expression was curious and somewhat amused.

Hyejin turned her head slightly and let out a cold, knowing smile. And she saw seo jun standing there and She waved a hand gently for a taxi , and then she saw the first couple though signaling goodbye, and mouthed, "Let's meet again."

Seo Jun watched her..and then Hyejin turned on her heel and walked away, her steps deliberate and unhurried, disappearing into the night.

The Dorm and The Plan

Back in her dorm, Hyejin leaned against her desk, her mind buzzing with thoughts. The boy from the couple was her next target, but Seo Jun's presence complicated things.

"Why was he following me?" she muttered, her fingers tracing the edge of her sketchpad. She opened it and began sketching the couple from memory—each detail vivid and precise.

Her strokes were sharp, almost violent, as she captured the boy's smug expression and the girl's timid posture. When the drawing was done, she leaned back and studied it, her lips curling into a smile.

"I'll deal with you soon," she whispered to the sketch, referring to the boy.

But then her mind shifted to Seo Jun. His sudden appearance unsettled her. He was curious about her, which made him both intriguing and dangerous.

A New Day, A New Encounter

The next day, Hyejin went about her usual routine at the university, attending classes and avoiding unnecessary interactions. However, as she exited her art studio, she found Seo Jun waiting outside.

"Good morning," he greeted, his smile as charming as ever.

Hyejin raised an eyebrow. "You seem to have a lot of free time."

"I just like being around you," Seo Jun admitted, his honesty catching her off guard. "You're... fascinating."

"Fascination fades," she replied coldly, walking past him.

"Not with you," Seo Jun called after her, falling into step beside her. "You're like a puzzle I can't figure out. And I love puzzles."

Hyejin stopped abruptly and turned to face him. "And what happens when you solve the puzzle? Will you lose interest?"

Seo Jun chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I don't think you're a puzzle anyone can solve. That's what makes you so captivating."

Hyejin stared at him, her expression unreadable. Inside, she was calculating. He's getting too close. Maybe it's time to put him in his place.

The Plan Takes Shape

That evening, Hyejin sat in her dorm, sketching once again. This time, it was Seo Jun's face that appeared on the paper. She drew him with his signature smile, but in her mind, she imagined him broken—vulnerable and terrified.

"Curiosity can be dangerous, Seo Jun," she murmured to herself.

Her plan for the boy from the couple was still in motion, but now she had a secondary target in her sights. Seo Jun's obsession with her made him unpredictable, and unpredictability was a threat she couldn't ignore.

As the night wore on, Hyejin smiled to herself. Let the games begin.
