VR- Battlefield - FINAL ROUND
The moment the word "Interesting" left Ryu's lips, a chilling wave passed through the battlefield. His smile, sharp and predatory, sent a shiver down the spines of the warriors surrounding him. Cassandra, breathing heavily, glared at him, her crimson eyes burning with fury. He tilted his head slightly, studying her with an amused expression.
"How many times can you revive? Once? Twice?" Ryu mused, his tone eerily casual as he looked at her trembling form. "Maybe we can figure that out."
Before he could make a move, Evelyn stepped forward, positioning herself in front of Cassandra. Her shield and sword glowed with divine radiance, her golden blonde hair shimmering like a beacon of defiance. At that moment, she looked like a war goddess descending onto the battlefield.
"Everyone, stop holding back!" Evelyn's voice rang out with command. "Up until now, we haven't even wounded him, and he's dominating us even with our numbers! Stop saving your strength for Alistair! If we don't take him down now, we won't even get a chance to fight Alistair!"
The first to respond was Lunara. Still mid-air, her bat-like wings carried her effortlessly as she raised her hands towards the sky. With a mere gesture, hundreds of blades formed from pure darkness, hovering ominously before launching toward Ryu at blinding speed. Each blade cut through the air like a death sentence.
Ryu merely smiled, his form flickering as he dodged the onslaught, each blade missing him by mere inches. He danced between the razor-sharp darkness, a crimson blur amid the storm of death.
Then, he felt a shift beneath him.
Sensing the surge of mana, Ryu leaped away just as the ground beneath him trembled and tore apart. A towering golem, composed of intertwining vines and stone, emerged, standing at least two meters tall. Its glowing emerald eyes locked onto Ryu with primal intent.
Ryu's eyes flicked to Slyvara, who had summoned the construct. He chuckled. "Something new, huh?"
Even as he continued to evade Lunara's relentless barrage, the golem charged, its massive fist descending upon him with earth-shattering force. Ryu sidestepped effortlessly, countering with a precise slash across its torso. But the damage repaired instantly as vines and stone reformed the wound.
"Intresting" ryu smirked eyeing where he slashed.
Leon used the opening, vanishing in a streak of blue lightning before appearing behind Ryu. His greatsword crackled with electricity as he unleashed Skybreaker Strike, a devastating downward slash that sent a deafening shockwave across the battlefield.
Ryu responded in kind, his blood-red aura surged clashing against Leon's thunder-infused blade, generating a sonic boom that rattled the air.
Lyria appeared behind Ryu using Moonshadow Step, her reaper coated in ice mana, aiming for his blind spot. But before her strike could land, Ryu used telekinesis to shift the angle of her weapon mid-swing, throwing off her attack by mere inches from his heart.
From the opposite direction, Dain appeared, his fist glowing with destructive fire. But instead of attacking Ryu directly, he slammed his fist into the ground, unleashing Eruption Drive. Volcanic energy exploded outward, shaking the battlefield and launching debris in every direction.
Ryu barely evaded by using Flickering Phantom, appearing mid-air.
But they had anticipated that.
"Now" Evalyn shouted.
Elaine, standing firm on the ground, unleashed Silver Rain Volley, firing a barrage of mana-infused arrows that homed in on Ryu from below, moving like streaks of silver.
At the same time, Lunara released the remainder of her dark blades, while Dain's red hair catching flames as he closed his hand together slowly opening them showing a sphere of flames and launched towards ryu burning remaining glass from heat . Infernal Meteor, a condensed sphere of molten fire that blazed through the air towards Ryu.
Leon raised a hand to the sky, his blue eyes gleaming with divine power. Heaven's Wrath was unleashed—a devastating column of lightning descending from the heavens.
Sky cracked with lightning.
All of it converged on Ryu at once.
He merely smiled.
The moment before impact, he unleashed Hell's Waltz mid-air, his blade moving in a flurry of crimson slashes. The lunar arrows were sliced apart. The dark blades vanished into smoke after cut down in multiple pieces. The descending lightning crackled violently as it was cut mid-air leaving static electricity in air. Even the molten sphere was split in two, the explosion sending heated shockwaves across the battlefield.
But Lunara wasn't done. Using Shadowmeld, she became one with the darkness, completely erasing her presence before materializing behind Ryu, her red eyes glowing with something unreadable. In her hands, she wielded a crimson scythe made of blood, swinging it with lethal precision aimed to split ryu in half.
For the first time, Ryu barely managed to block in time. The force sent him hurtling towards the ground.
Just as he was about to land, a red streak of thunder shot towards him—Rael in his berserk mode, his fur now white and crackling with crimson lightning. Privious injuries healed, no hint of any injures on his eye and legs. His eyes, filled with bestial rage, locked onto Ryu as he aimed a savage claw strike.
Twisting mid-air, Ryu dodged, countering with a quick slash across Rael's arm, leaving a deep wound from wrist to shoulder . But Rael ignored the pain, pressing forward with relentless aggression.
As Ryu landed, he found himself standing at the very spot where he had slaughtered his own teammates earlier in the battle. The corpses lay there, a grim reminder of his earlier carnage.
Then, something shifted.
The blood from the fallen bodies began to move.
Without warning, a massive crimson claw surged up from the bloodied ground and corpses, attempting to crush Ryu. His blade flashed, 'ghost fang' cutting it apart in an instant, but more chains of blood snaked up from beneath, binding his legs in place.
A figure emerged from the blood behind ryu—Veylen, crimson eyes glowing wielding a blade forged entirely from blood.
Ryu blocked his strike, countering immediately. But before he could finish Veylen, Rael attacked again, despite his injuries. Dain joined him, creating a relentless two-on-one assault, their blows echoing across the battlefield.
For the first time, Ryu couldn't move freely.
Rael activated Lightning Pounce, appearing behind Ryu for a devastating attack. In response, Ryu used telekinesis, slamming Rael into the ground mid-charge.
Dain took advantage of the moment, unleashing Dragon's Roar—a blast of condensed dragonfire from point-blank range from his mouth.
Reacting instantly, Ryu redirected the angle of Dain's face with telekinesis, forcing the beam of flames toward the battlefield's edge—where Serena was healing Cassandra.
The fiery blast tore toward them.
Serena barely had time to react, casting Divine Veil, a radiant shield of holy energy. But the sheer force of the attack cracked the barrier.
At the last moment, Evelyn stepped forward, raising her shield and reinforcing the barrier with her own power.
The explosion finally ceased.
As the dust settled, Ryu remained standing in the battlefield's center, chains of blood still binding his legs, his blade dripping with the energy of countless clashes.
His grin widened.
"Not bad," he muttered, flicking blood off his katana.
As his eyes flicked to darkeness slowly covering ground, his smile widened "This is getting fun."
