Chapter 5 - Awakening of Elements

Jack's family members had heard about the awakening of elements, blessings, and professions. The news filled them with excitement. Even Sofia, who had been in a deep slumber, woke up.

Seeing their eager expressions, Ava simply smiled. Then, she said, "If you all, as otherworlders, wish to receive blessings and awaken your elements, I'm afraid it's impossible because you're not from this world."

"What?! We can't receive blessings or awaken elements?"the entire family exclaimed in shock.

Not wanting to tease them any further, Ava reached into her storage ring and pulled out several shimmering, rainbow-colored stones, appearing as if from thin air. "These are called Awakening Stones," she explained.

"Awakening Stones are gifts from the gods, specifically meant for otherworlders. With these, you can receive your blessings and awaken your elements," Ava added with reverence.

Upon seeing the Awakening Stones, the Wilson family members sighed in relief. Their eyes sparkled with excitement and anticipation.

Then, Ava handed an awakening stone to each family member, including Sofia. She said, "To awaken your elements and receive your blessings, you need to place an awakening stone on your forehead, right between your eyebrows, and try to absorb it with your eyes closed.''

She smiled and added, "Sofia also needs to absorb this awakening stone because when she turns sixteen, she will receive her blessings and awaken her elements."

As they listened to Ava's explanation on how to use the awakening stones, they followed her instructions and began absorbing the stones one by one.

Ava watched the process with eager eyes, as if expecting a miracle to unfold before her.

After an unknown amount of time, Jack and his family successfully completed the assimilation of the awakening stones into their glabellas.

Then, Jack and his family slowly opened their eyes one by one, their faces lighting up with joyful expressions. As they absorbed the awakening stones, all the members of the Wilson family felt a deep sense of comfort and relaxation, as if they were soaking in hot springs. Once the absorption was complete, they felt as though they had been reborn as new beings.

Seeing that they had finished the process, Ava took out a large, round, milky-white stone the size of a football from her space ring. Her eyes gleamed with anticipation as she said, "This is the Talent Assessment Stone. If you wish, you can use it to test your talent rank, or you can check within your Sea of Knowledge in your mind."

Noticing Ava's expectant gaze, Jack and his family members nodded in agreement, choosing to assess their talent with the Talent Assessment Stone.

Ava's face brightened with a happy smile upon hearing their decision.

James Wilson was the first to step forward for the test. Seeing him approach, the entire family wished him good luck.

As Jack's father prepared for the test, Ava explained, "Talent is divided into seven star ranks, from lowest to highest: Red Star, Orange Star, Yellow Star, Green Star, Blue Star, Indigo Star, and Violet Star."

"Remember! The speed at which you form magic circles or aura force rings, as well as the number of elements you can control, all depend on how high your talent is," Ava said with a smile.

"First, you need to place both hands on the talent stone and close your eyes. Then, concentrate on the mana within your body and slowly channel it toward your hands. Carefully guide that mana into the talent testing stone," Ava explained patiently.

James placed both hands on the talent assessment stone and closed his eyes. Slowly, he focused on his body, sensing an otherworldly energy flowing through him. Is this the mana Miss Angel was talking about? he wondered. He then guided the mana through his body to his hands, carefully channeling the concentrated energy into the talent assessment stone.

With a soft ding, a golden-colored screen appeared on the stone, displaying some details.

[ Ding!

Name: James Wilson

Profession: None

Path: None

Talent: Orange Star Rank

Elements: Erebus (Darkness) and Phoebus(Light) ]

Note: "Profession" and "Path" show as "None" because the individual has not yet begun their magical journey.

As Ava read James Wilson's results on the Talent Assessment Stone, a look of disappointment appeared on her face. An Orange Star talent was considered merely average.

But again two rare Elements, totally result was good.

Seeing the disappointment in Ava's eyes, the mood of the entire family dimmed.

James, noticing the shift in atmosphere, returned to his family with an awkward smile. His test was over, and now it was Emma Wilson's turn. The family once again wished her good luck.

Following the angel's instructions, Emma repeated the same steps her husband had taken. Once again, the golden screen lit up, and a familiar ding sounded from the Talent Assessment Stone:

[ Ding!

Name: Emma Wilson

Profession: None

Path: None

Talent: Green Star Rank

Elements: Pyro (Fire), Geo (Earth), Hydro (Water), and Anemo (Wind)]

Seeing Emma's results, a bright smile spread across Ava's face. A Green Star rank was considered a high-level talent, signifying great potential for future growth.

Seeing the bright smile on Ava's face, all family members jumped with joy. They stepped forward, congratulating Emma with big smiles.

"Mom! Congratulations, you're the best!" said Jack, grinning.

"Mom! You're awesome! I want to be just like you!" said little Sofia excitedly, hugging Emma's legs and bouncing up and down.

"Congratulations, honey," said James with a warm smile.

"Thank you, guys,'' Emma replied with a sweet smile.

Next, it was time for Jack to awaken his talent. As he stepped forward to take the test, all eyes locked onto him. With his family's and Ava's expectant gazes on him, Jack placed both hands on the talent assessment stone and closed his eyes.

Focusing his energy known as mana Jack carefully directed it through his body. Under his control, he channeled the mana into his hands and into the assessment stone.

A familiar ding echoed, and a golden screen appeared on the Talent Assessment Stone:

[ Ding!

Name: Jack Wilson

Profession: None

Path: None

Talent: Red Star Rank

Elements: Pyro (Fire)]

Seeing Jack's talent assessment results on the golden screen, his entire family and even Ava gasped in shock.

Even Jack himself couldn't believe it. He had the worst talent.

"What?! I don't believe it! I want to test again!'' Jack said, his voice filled with fury.

Determined, he took the test again. But the result remained unchanged. Disappointment clouded his eyes as he tried again and again, only to see the same outcome. Each failed attempt chipped away at his hope, leaving him devastated.

He refused to accept this fate. He didn't want to be a loser in this fantasy world. It had always been his dream to come to a magical world where strength meant everything.

Here, only the strong survived. The weak were left behind. With such a low talent level, his future was destined to be mediocre.

After a few moments, his mother walked to his side, pulling him into a tight hug. In a solemn tone, she said, "My dear son, it's okay. This is just a talent test. You haven't even checked your blessings yet. Maybe you have something special there. Calm down, my baby boy. Even if your talent isn't great, we will find a way to improve it. Hard work can still lead to great achievements."

"Yes! Yes! We will find a way," his father added, his face filled with sorrow.

"It's okay, big brother! You're still the best in my eyes, even if you don't have the best magic talent, " his cute little sister said, trying to cheer him up.

Jack felt himself calming down as he looked at his family, who stood by his side no matter what. Then, his gaze shifted to Ava.

Ava wore a conflicted expression, torn between confusion and disappointment. Her intuition told her that Jack would make a big name for himself in the future. But his test results said otherwise.
