Chapter 144 - Scene Turning into Disaster

Hua Yichen stood by the window, watching the figure gradually disappear into the distance. He glanced at the items Huo Yuhao had left on the table and sighed inwardly.

This kid is being a bit too polite.

"Pagoda Master, the Federation has shared the information about the attackers."

A staff member entered and handed a document to Hua Yichen, who took it and began to read, his brows furrowing slightly.

The document listed the martial souls of three evil soul masters, with one person having acted too quickly to leave any information.

Dark Qilin, Level 98, Three-Word Battle Armor Master.

Black Phoenix, Level 97, Three-Word Battle Armor Master.

Blood Eyes, Level 97, Three-Word Battle Armor Master.

"When you want to find them, they're nowhere to be seen, but when you don't, they pop up everywhere," Hua Yichen muttered, his expression tense. He sighed inwardly.

Super Douluo are not easy to kill, and these individuals are all Three-Word Battle Armor Masters. With the enhancement of their battle armor, they are nearly at the limit. Unless they are stopped by a Limit Douluo or multiple Super Douluo, it's difficult to achieve any results.

This is likely to be a protracted battle.

"Let's focus on our duties first."

Hua Yichen looked up at the staff member. "Have all the personnel been transferred?"

Although the stolen list did not include any evil martial soul possessors from Eastsea City, since Super Douluo have already made their move, it's better to be cautious and do what we can.

Even if it's just fighting against the air, it's better than regretting it later. It's just a matter of adding a few more chopsticks.

"Most have been transferred, but some believe they'll be fine and refuse to come."

The staff member frowned. "Should we take coercive measures?"

The strong from other factions are mostly gathered in one place, but the Spirit Pagoda has branches in every major city. In such emergencies, only the Spirit Pagoda and the Federation's military can react quickly and take action.

But the Federation is vast, and there are always places that can't be covered.

Hua Yichen's tone turned serious. "Based on the danger level of their martial souls, those who have taken the evil path to greatly enhance their strength must come! It's not for their sake, but for the lives of the Federation's civilians!"

...

The deep blue steel dragon slowly moved forward, its metal wheels clashing against the tracks with a rhythmic roar. The specially made soul guide coating on the train's surface shimmered under the morning sun.

The morning light filtered through the deep blue windows, casting shimmering reflections inside the carriage. Huo Yuhao and Gu Yuena sat side by side on the soft seats by the window, the floating light and shadows dancing on their faces.

Li Yucheng sat across from them, glancing in Gu Yuena's direction, still feeling a bit strange.

Two years ago, when Gu Yuena revealed her true appearance, they were truly shocked.

But Cheng Yi'an was very happy and even took Gu Yuena shopping, treating her like a daughter. Now that Gu Yuena is going to Mingdu, she's probably going to be sad for a long time...

Li Yucheng chuckled inwardly, shaking his head. He didn't engage in conversation with the two juniors, instead enjoying the scenery flying by outside the window.

He had bought tickets for the VIP carriage, and now it was just the three of them. The carriage was quiet, and he was content with that.

As time passed, the tranquility was only broken when the train reached a small town station, and a figure entered.

It was a young boy, about thirteen years old, with a delicate appearance, a slender build, and a cold demeanor.

Upon entering the carriage, the boy noticed Huo Yuhao and the others, his gaze lingering on Huo Yuhao and Gu Yuena for a moment, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

Seeing the boy staring at him, Huo Yuhao looked up and nodded slightly in greeting.

The boy nodded coldly in return, not intending to approach or engage in conversation. He simply found a seat and began to meditate silently.

Huo Yuhao glanced in his direction, then stopped his own cultivation and took out a book to read. Gu Yuena also stopped what she was doing and leaned over to look.

The four people in the carriage remained quiet, and time passed in this peaceful atmosphere.

"Attention passengers, the train will soon arrive at the Star Dou Transfer Station. Passengers wishing to visit, please disembark in order."

The train jolted slightly, and the scenery outside the window suddenly opened up. In the distance, the outline of a mountain range was bathed in the golden-red hues of the rising sun. Huo Yuhao caught sight of the magnificent scene and suddenly felt his sleeve being gently tugged.

"Yuhao, look over there," Gu Yuena pointed to the horizon, where a group of translucent flying spirit beasts were gliding through the morning clouds. Their transparent wings refracted a spectrum of colors, like scattered gemstones.

And below them, a Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear stood on a high wall.

Huo Yuhao followed Gu Yuena's finger and was drawn to the Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear on the city wall. The massive bear-like spirit beast was clumsily pawing at the edge of the wall, its front claws resting on the parapet. Its round eyes were fixed on the speeding train, its expression almost comically endearing.

Huo Yuhao smiled gently. "It looks like it's saying, 'I want to ride the train too.'"

"Pfft—"

The boy nearby couldn't help but laugh, but when the three of them looked over, he quickly regained his composure and looked straight ahead.

Li Yucheng chuckled and turned his gaze back to Huo Yuhao and Gu Yuena, who were also smiling. "Gu Yuena has probably seen it before, but Yuhao, this is your first time near the Star Dou Transfer Station, right? It's a pity. If the timing were better, I could have taken you to visit."

"There's an entrance to Star Dou here. That Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear is one of the outer guardians, preventing unauthorized entry into Star Dou for poaching. It's one of the attractions here, but there are many more places with local characteristics that you can't see from the platform."

Huo Yuhao looked at the platform and shook his head, smiling. "Even if we don't go in, there's plenty to see from the outside."

On the platform, several uniformed soul masters were maintaining order alongside a few small spirit beasts.

A fluffy Wind Baboon, wearing a small hat, was using its paws to guide passengers.

Next to it, a colorful peacock elegantly spread its tail feathers, which shimmered with the words "Luggage Storage."

The platform's broadcast system played a gentle female voice:

"Please treat our spirit beast partners with kindness. Visit with civility and harmony..."

As Li Yucheng had said, it was very much a local scene.

Sunlight streamed through the massive glass dome, casting a warm glow over the platform. The harmonious interaction between humans and spirit beasts painted a vibrant picture.

Unfortunately... some unwelcome guests arrived.

Is the spearman really cursed with bad luck?

Boom—!!!

"Be careful!"

Li Yucheng's eyes widened in alarm.

The platform's dome suddenly shattered, and a crimson mist poured down like a tidal wave, instantly enveloping the soul guide train that had just stopped. The once cheerful and busy spirit beasts let out panicked cries. The Wind Baboon's hat was blown off by the shockwave, and the peacock's tail feathers dimmed abruptly.

Li Yucheng shouted, his soul power surging, but before he could act, the crimson mist churned and formed two massive ghostly hands. They grabbed Huo Yuhao, Gu Yuena, and the boy nearby, dragging them into the void in an instant!

On the distant city wall, the Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear let out a deafening roar. Its massive body leaped into the air, and its terrifying dark gold claws tore through the air, slamming down toward the crimson mist—

Boom!

The platform's ground cracked for dozens of meters, but the crimson mist had already vanished, leaving only a few traces of a cold, sinister aura.

The Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear roared at the sky, its voice shattering countless pieces of glass…
